17 The suspicion

After she left the room the boy went to bed and fell asleep, as for Octavia she was in the garden,

"Hmm maybe he was right i did feel different" she said to herself as she lay down on the soft grass, about 2am when the prince woke up to drink some water he noticed that Octavia was not in the room, he went into the balcony and saw her laying in the grass.

"Oh there she is, hmm why do i feel bad, she deserved it" he said to herself, as he went back to bed, the girl slept away outside in the cold, in the morning when everyone woke up, the queen saw her laying on the ground, she called out to the king and woke her up, when she got up, the girl saw everyone standing there.

"Octavia why did you sleep out here in the cold?" the queen asked,

"Oh i am sorry your highness i must have doze off" she replied coughing,

"Now look you caught a cold come on, go to your room and i will send some medicine for you" Caria said.

The king went to call the prince who was already up and went for a ride, well the girl did as told and went to the room just then the prince came up, "you really did sleep out there" he said.

The girl sneered at him "Is there something that you need?" she asked coughing,

"No how about you take the day off, i do not want to catch your cold" he replied as he gave her the medicine the queen sent.

"She said to drink all of it, you will get better faster and Caria also said to do what you normally do, then go meet her in the garden" he said,

"Okay" she replied.

When the prince left the room, the girl drank the medicine, ate her food, took a bath and did the other necessary things, after she finished Octavia gave her hair a bread plait which looked great on her, as she was about to walk out of the room, the wound that the wolf had given her started to pain severely even though it had already healed up.

The pain was so intense that she fell to the floor on her knees, when she tried to get up, she suddenly got a glimpse of the black wolf in blood, Octavia trembled in fear, she closed her eyes and thought about the good things around her and after doing that the pain stopped, she got up and went to see the queen in the garden.

"Your highness you wanted to see me?" she asked,

The queen smiled "yes sit down" she replied, the girl did as the queen asked.

After she sat down, Caria gave her a cup of tea, "i see you decided to date the prince" she said,

"Uh yeah, he is just different from all those other princes that i ever heard of" she replied,

"I see tell me what is it about the black wolf that scares you so much" the queen said,

The girl remembered what she imagined "He is just cruel" she replied,

"You are not telling me something when it concerns this beast, do you know who he is?" the queen asked,

"No i do not my lady and i just told the prince what i saw and felt" she replied,

"What happened?, the prince did not tell us anything" Caria responded,

"It must have slipped his mind, i told him i saw a man standing in the balcony the other night and felt as if that same person or whatever was following us last night" she said,

The queen gasped "okay well now that you told me i will strengthen the security around the castle" the queen replied,

"Okay" Octavia responded as she looked into the mountains,

"Are you okay?" Caria asked,

"Yes your highness i am fine, i will be going now thanks for the tea" she said as she left.

The queen noticed that something was not quite right with the girl, so she called the prince Christoff,

"Christoff can you do me a favor?" she asked,

"Sure" he replied,

"I want you to keep an eye on Octavia please" she said,

" I can do that but why?" he asked,

"You know i have grown quite fond of her for the time they have been here, but something is not right with the girl, she is acting strange" she replied,

"I see but my question is do you trust her?" he asked,

"Yes i do but right now we need to find out what the hell is going on in these kingdoms with these beasts" she replied,

"Okay your highness i understand, i will have someone watch her every move" he responded,

"Good thanks you can go now" she said.

After he left, Christoff picked one of his most skilled soldier by the name of Liam to follow Octavia around, he always carry out his orders well so there was nothing to worry about, as the girl was walking in the hot sun to the stable she suddenly started to feel dizzy, she held her head and rushed to the stable, when she arrived she went to the pipe and threw water on her face.

"There is something seriously wrong with me, i need help and without knowing what is going on i cannot go to anyone for help here not even my monstrous boss" she said to herself as she grabbed her horse.

As for the prince he was training in the royal arena. A little while after Octavia decided to go into the mountains and summon the white wolf, while the queen decided to talk to the king about her suspicions towards her new friend and she did not want to blame the girl wrongfully for anything.

After telling the king everything, he was unsure about having someone tail the girl,

"Do you think she is in league with the beast?" he asked the queen,

"What no she could not be, i only did this because i think she is hiding something from us" she replied,

"Okay until you are one hundred percent sure that she is hiding something, do not mention a word to prince Cassius" he said,

"Okay, i just hope that whatever it is she is hiding it is not bad" the queen replied.

The king had errands to run so he left the queen to take care of certain matters until he is back.
