I want your daughters
After the voice reverberated throughout the kingdom, the residents got agitated and most of them rushed towards the gate to pay respect to Blaive.
"What is happening? Why the faces of the residents showing deep gratitude towards me like I save one of their family members?" This question is now lingering in Blaive's head. It is so unusual to see how agitated the residents are because of their princess are saved. [Others want to assassinate the royals in other kingdoms because of their maltreatment. This should mean that....] then he came to conclusion.
[In my conclusion, the king and princesses must treated their residents good like a family that is why they are showing deep gratitude towards me.] As he was escorted by the guards towards the castle, he saw people so happy seeing him while saying "Thank you Mr Blaive for saving our princesses!". Some other people cried, even others made a banner with the phrase imprinted "Thank you Mr Blaive!".
In most anime he is watching, king and princesses are so cruel that their people want to assassinate them or praying they would die. But this scene is now what Blaive has expected.
Soon, they reached the castle and then passed through the gate. The guards look at him with awe and other maidservant blushed because seeing a hero that is so handsome while being cute is not something they can see every day.
The Castle is not big and grand like the others back when he is still watching fantasy anime and movie on earth.
It was not so tall but it can still be called a castle.
He is welcomed by an old man in a black suit, it was the head butler of the family.
The butler bowed and then looked at Blaive and the said: "Master Blaive, I was ordered by the king to accompany you to his throne room."
Blaive nodded and then they walked towards the king's throne room. The door opened and a red carpet welcomed him and at the other end, he saw a middle-aged man wearing a crown and a girl in his left and right wearing tiaras, it was no other than the two princesses he saved.
In the left is Celia and in the right is Celic. Both of them looked so elegant, proving that they were really a princess.
Blaive kneeled and said "Greeting King Celcium!" Then the king waved his hands telling him to stand.
"Blaive Bach, A rogue cultivator who saved my two daughters shall be granted privileges and rewards of your choice." The king said with the tone of royalty.
"I will accept your privileges and rewards," Blaive said with respect.
"For the privileges, you can enter and get out of the Kingdom easily with this medallion." Then a servant came to him and handed a black medallion engraved with strange writing and an image of a kingdom.
"You can trade goods here for an exchange of other goods or money." The kings said.
"As for your reward, you can ask anything to me."
"I would like to have your two daughters to be my companions for an adventure that I will embark." Blaive said it calmly.
The calm and happy face of the king turned grave and distorted. His face filled with disbelief as he heard the rewards this lone cultivator asked him.
"IMPOSSIBLE!" The king stomped his foot out of anger. The guards and servants gaped as they looked at Blaive. Their faces also turned grave and filled with disbelief as they heard what Blaive wants as a reward. Her daughters beside him also gaped in astonishment.
"You can't have my daughters! You may be saved their lives but you did not own them! Your request can't be granted! Please, state any possible reward!" anger swelled inside the king's heart. Still, his face is filled with disbelief.
Blaive let out a long sigh. He already knew that it is impossible to have his daughters as his companion. He looked at the eyes of Celia and Celic and looked disappointed.
The reason for him to ask his daughters as his companion is because of a single reason.
The reason is he wants to have a high position in the Kingdom and he can get funds because he has their two princesses.
The kingdom will give him high status as long as equipment and funds to protect the two of them. The kingdom will also benefit in this transaction because they can have a strong cultivator backing them up.
"Father! Celic and I agreed with what Brother Blaive said." Then a voice rang from his side.
The king's face fell and sighed.
"Father! If that is what Brother Blaive wants then we will fulfil it voluntarily. Aside from having protection from him to ensure our kingdom's safety. It will also be beneficial for me and Celic because we feel if we stick with him we will grow stronger. So please father allows us." Celia explained. Celic in her side also looked determined.
"We owe our lives to this man. We will fight for him. It is also beneficial in our kingdom. Please, father, consider our decision." Celic said.
The Kings face filled with shock. It was because Celic talked and stand up for that man. Celic barely talked to others nor argue. She is a shy girl and not good at communication. She relied on her sister when communicating with others.
"Is your decision final?" The king's face is turned up and now his face fills with novelty.
He came into realization, getting Blaive attached into his kingdom will make his kingdom's battle prowess soar high. Who is in the Iron level can block a Fire breath from a red dragon? So he must be at least Mithril stage or Gold III cultivator. Having him is an upper hand to the kingdom.
If Blaive hears his thoughts he will surely laugh out loud and saying 'I'm just an Iron rank I!'
"Yes, father. Our decision is final. Celic and I will follow him. Please consider my decision." Celia said while her hands clasped in her chest.
"I will fund your journey. But if something dangerous happened to my daughter then prepare to die!" The face of King Celcium is full of seriousness. Putting her daughter's life in the hands of the mysterious cultivator is a dangerous decision. But considering the benefits he will gain, it stirred his mind but in the end, he chooses to let them go.
Blaive gaped and filled with astonishment. This scene is not what he expected to happen. He thought that the girl will just agree with their father's decision. Not expecting their words will enlighten their father to agree with them.
Celia and Celic rushed to his side and cling in his arms. King did nothing to stop them. King Celcium let out a sigh.
"Brother Blaive lets now prepare our needs in our journey."
After what happened in the throne room, they get out and prepare for their journey.
The news spread everywhere, people would look at them while they were strolling around finding resources for their journey.
They bought food seasonings, different kind of scrap metals, swords, shields, a horse and a carriage. He also bought maps of different kind of places and the map of the whole world.
They managed to get it done by the afternoon. Blaive asked the two of them, Celia and Celic about different kinds of currency.
He demanded 1 platinum coin, 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 copper. Celia and Celic looked at Blaive, confused. [What will brother Blaive do with different kinds of coins? What if he only asked 10 platinum coins?] Still they continued to follow him without asking.
After saying goodbye to the King, King Celcius Sevillion, they left.
Their people are still a frog in a well in this case. The reason why Celia and Celic choose to follow this man is still unknown for them, but King Celcius promised them an explanation.
They gang of 3 people, 1 boy and 2 Princess leave the kingdom. Again, their people's faces fell down, some even tears fell from their eyes down to their face, some are confused while others are angry. The Kingdom is filled with mix emotions as their two princess leave.
"We will surely come back!" Celia waved her hands to say farewell to her kingdom.
Soon, they reached the forest and it was almost night. Then Blaive said, "I'll gonna show you something."
