He wanted to spill, but even though the director's crew were aware of what was going on, accidents can happen during post-production, and if he is associated with the information leak, it wouldn't be good for his image, even though he wasn't planning on being completely reliant on his entertainment career, he did not want people to twist and turn his words to fit their narrative and ruin his reputation.
