DAY THREE: The awakening!

Gray's POV

So the blue wolf masked guy finally revealed his face to me after a long walk along the tunnel. We ended up on the barren wasteland where the sun is almost setting down in front of us.

"My name is Jingyan!" as he put his hands together one is closed fists and the other hand is open holding his closed hand. Hmm, a familiar gesture. Then he bowed his head a little.

"I'm Apollo, I mean Gray! Nice to meet you"

"Haha, you must be confused! your true self had been activated however your present self is still struggling to take control! Believe me, I know exactly how it feels like! you will be enlightened once you underwent true awakening!"

I guess I should just wait for it then. I don't know why. I don't seem too comfortable with this guy. It's not that I don't want him around. But I don't know. He is a bit different.

Well, he has slit eyes. And his long hair is neatly tied behind him. Ohhh! I know! He looked like the one from Crouching tiger hidden dragon! Well, it is an old and vintage movie that Greg forced me to watch. He said he got it from the deep web.

"Hey!" I can't help my curiosity. "Are you the one in the movie-"

Suddenly a medium seized speeder rose up from the sand causing me to stop whatever I'm about to ask my companion. The door from the hovering vehicle opened.

Then two rebel troopers welcomed us. I hesitated.

"Well come on in!" Jingyan said.

I looked at him with full hesitation.

"Come on, you don't want me mad believe me" He smiled at me but his slit eyes are like certain warnings of death.

Guess I had no choice. I'm a fugitive I think anyways.

Inside the transport is just enough space for about five people. And there was a chair which would remind you of the examination chairs on hospitals.

"Sit here," Jingyan said

I hesitated again. So he threw that look again as if it can hypnotize me. Guess it can. Here I am lying on this chair. As he activates some apparatus near me. Oh my goodness is he going to perform some kind of an experiment? I don't think he is a surgeon or something.

"Relax, I'm just going to make you remember. after this everything will be clear."

He put something in my head. And turned something on. I can feel the shakes since our transport seems to be going underground. I can feel my heartbeat slowing down. I closed my eyes intentionally, or maybe not. I'm not so sure.

Everything is pitch black. Until there was a spec of light and a clear voice...

"Welcome Apollo gray! Let me take you to earth 299 years and 361 days ago. This is earth, purely inhabited by humans and some creatures called animals of different types or species. Let us focus on humans for now. Humans back then have different nationalities. Though each human or individual is unique against each other. All humans came to a part where they considered each and every one of them equal. Some conflicts arise yes indeed. But nothing that cannot be fixed through communication and proper arrangements. After all, they are all the same.

Their unity was tested when different life forms started to visit their peaceful planet. First to come was the Pulpamorphs. These are huge humanoid carnivores armed with razor-sharp teeth and sharp claws which can extend to some certain length. Though these creatures lack any technological advancements. They use their brute force and fast reproduction as their weapon. They have but one weakness though. Light! Prolonged exposure to light melts their eyes and softens their impenetrable skin. Making them utterly vulnerable to any weapon.

Upon discovering this weakness, human were able to push back the entire Pulpamorph invasion.
