6 Mrs. Lin's Son

Right then, as if Mrs. Lin knew what she was thinking about, said person barged into the guild with a worried expression still plastered on her face.

"Is there anything, anything at all, that I can help with?" Mrs. Lin asked, "please, even if it means begging my son..."

"Begging your son?" Dye was bewildered, "why do you need to beg your son for something like this?" Even if her son was a high ranking officer, he was supposed to have some...filial respect to his parents, right? Why would Mrs. Lin need to beg her own son?

"He's...a Swordsman, a powerful one," Mrs. Lin looked down, sad, "he holds the whole village in his hands. He's invincible...here. More importantly, the great sirs aren't allowed to interfere in village matters..."

'Oh yeah...,' Dye thought.

"No need to beg him Mrs. Lin," Dye smiled, "I'll try and negotiate with him. And if it comes to it, I will crush his pride. But right now, I need to listen to what happened at that time, your version."

"Alright," Mrs. Lin nodded, "it all started that very day..."

"Haha, thank you for your gift! Not really," a handsome young man with brown hair and green eyes stood in front of a shop while holding a sack of vegetables. He had a huge broadsword on his back, and wore steel armour.

"Hey boy, I also have some 'gift' to give you,"

"Hmm?" the young man looked to his left, and saw an average looking female, wearing crude cloth armour and a pendant around her neck. Soon he started laughing , "an Elementalist? What a joke!"

"Do not underestimate an Elementalist boy," this female was precisely Dye. Her eyes narrowed as she touched her pendant, activating a spell.

"What? Those two high rank Elementalists escaped as soon as the beast appeared South," the young man sneered, "they're just cowards."

Dye glared at the young man, "well, I do know that you're the culprit, Lin Mao."

The handsome young man, or Lin Mao, widened his eyes before grabbing his broadsword, "I know that old hag's useless. She can't even keep her own son's secret."

Dye wanted to call Ynoir over and kill Lin Mao over and over again if not for the fact that this wasn't a game, and if Lin Mao were dead, he would be dead forever. Mrs. Lin begged her to not kill Lin Mao, despite how unfilial he was to his own mother.

"Watch your step."

As soon as Lin Mao took a step forward, a tall earth mound appeared. He lost his balance and fell forward. Lin Mao's eyes widened for a split second. It was impossible to catch him of guard...

"I'll have to thank you for having a bad relationship with your mother in the first place," Dye grinned, before casting another Earth Mound perfectly where Lin Mao would land.

Lin Mao, who was simply a level 2 Swordsman, hadn't learned Sword Fling yet, so Dye was sure he wouldn't be able to escape the Earth Mound. Lin Mao who had lost his footing tumbled over to the front and hit his stomach on the Earth Mound. The injury resulted in him spurting out a mouthful of blood. He finally landed on his back, breaking a few ribs.

"How can you...," he wanted to say something but it was so painful. He felt humiliated. She was just a level 1 Elementalist, why was she so powerful?

"Power isn't always everything...Lin Mao," Dye said, casting a heal on Lin Mao, "stand up. I need your help."

Lin Mao's reaction was precisely like Ynoir's. Shocked, curious, confused. He tried touching the screen, but in the end, he could only touch accept.

[Swordsman Lin Mao has joined your team]

'Well, that's pretty easy for starters...,' Dye thought, 'is this the extremely unfilial son Mrs. Lin told me about?'

"I will grow, and one day, I will beat you!" Lin Mao declared.

'Oh...he's just a battle thirsty person...,' Dye thought, before telling Lin Mao to rest.

'We will have a very busy day tomorrow, just hope that Ynoir will show up...'
