9 Congratulatory Gift

They cleared half of the Loud Love Birds population by the time the sun sets. After cleaning up their kills, they started selling the corpses to various guilds. It was simply because some items on the corpse might be useful to a guild, while the others might not.

"Lin Mao, can you help sell these to the Occultist guild?" Dye gave Lin Mao a sack of Spirit Cores. Not all the Loud Love Birds had Spirit Cores, only the alpha.

"Sure," The Spirit Cores were usually crumbled into powder, before being mixed with special blood. It could be used to make scrolls, which only Occultists could make.

"We can also ask for 30% of the finished scrolls, you know," Dye said. In the game, she had arranged it so that 30% of the finished scrolls, if handed to the system, would be the contributor's while the rest would be given to the guild to sell.

"Can we really?" Ynoir looked at Lin Mao, "make sure to negotiate if it's not possible."

'Are they really the strong and benevolent characters I saw earlier?' Lin Mao thought, but didn't question further. He hauled the sack full of Spirit Cores and quickly dashed to the Occultist Guild.

The Spirit Cores were the last of them. Dye sighed before opening her inventory to see what the 'congratulatory gift' was.

[Open congratulatory gift?]

Of course, open.

[1 x Wind Rune.]

[1 x Earth Rune.]

[2 x level 2 spellbook.]

[5 x level 1 spellbook.]

[1 x Wind Sacrifice.]

'Wow...,' Dye looked at the gift combination, 'the system can't be so generous...'

Wind Sacrifice was a Blue tier robe. It increased all wind type spells by 5%. Spellbooks were Purple to Gold tier items. The tiers were based on the spell in it.

'Wow...,' Dye grinned, 'sometimes, having it different wouldn't be so bad after all...'

"Dye, is something the matter?" Earlier, Dye started laughing all of a sudden...it was a little creepy, even when he's a Creeper himself.

[Name : Ynoir Tytem.]

[Level : 4.]

Dye was surprised when she saw Ynoir's level. They had the same amount of Exp right? How could Ynoir's level be a little higher than hers?

[Name : Dye Red.]

[Level : 2. 450/150 Exp.]

[Level up?]

Dye couldn't help but take back what she had just thought about, 'the system is not generous at all...not generous at all...'

"Um Dye?" Ynoir was really creeped out right now. He could feel his whole body shivering. Well, he actually didn't, but the creepy aura around Dye right now was certainly scary.

"Yes, Old man?" Dye gave him an evil grin, a weird light glinting in her eyes.

"Nothing," Ynoir's averted his gaze, "It's nothing."

In the end, the system probably felt really sorry and gave Dye a lot of good things, from Blessed by Earth (boots), Nature's Blessing (pendant), and a lot of spellbooks, some were even Gold tier. Dye was very happy as she learnt all the spells. Another thing she liked about the 'changed' system was, there were no duplicate spellbooks.

Dye was content with what she had, for now. Well, she had to be content, because she wouldn't level up easily from now on...

Yes, level 5 was the deciding point. The line that divided her from mortal...to a new world.

This could only happen to Elementalists that chose pendant, however, because of their 'all rounder' specialty.

'Soon, I will finally be a Cultivator!' Dye thought excitedly, 'Maybe, I might be able to reach the top...'

'Yeah, the top...'

With that, Dye looked at the sky, smiling, making Ynoir 'shiver' again.

'I hope Dye's okay...,'

Who knew that it might be the start...of something else
