chapter 15

After I was done checking their stats they were done eating and Emma was staring at the stove like she wanted another one so I told 001 to make another one and then I refilled her water. Zach finished his but he was still just staring down blankley like he lost a part of himself. After Emma had her second plate she patted her stomach and leaned back in her chair and let out a deep sigh. I then removed the restraint on her that prevented her from running away and made a gesture for them to follow me and we went to the end of the tunnel on the outside of the wall but I dug a little further so when I let them go up they wouldn't know where the actual tunnel starts. After going a few more miles I made the gesture of shhh and then I made a staircase up to the surface for them to leave.

Emma was ecstatic and immediately ran up the stairs but when she was half way she stopped and turned around to see zach kneeling towards me saying " i pledge my loyalty to you, to be your sword and shield" honestly I didn't think this would happen and it's a little weird but if you think about it he's lost his loved one and has nothing in the town so i guess i understand but still weird. After she saw this she seemed furious but she had restraint and didn't attack me since she didn't have any mana but if she did she would have probably used fireball and taken zach back. Thankfully she continued to walk up the stairs and when she got to the top she scanned her surroundings and dashed off towards the town. I then shut the stairs and gestured for us to walk back, while we were walking back I closed the tunnel that I had dug while taking Emma to the surface.

Once we got to the area where the cave had opened up I closed it and changed the inside so she wouldn't be able to recognize the area. I then brought zach back to the room he had been staying in and i put a functional door on it so he could leave the room and get food and water. The food would be near the stove and for the water I made a pool of water that you can drink out of.
