The Thunderstorm; Sequel to The Halloween Party

It's been about a year since me and Miyoko started dating and let me tell you it's been the best time of my life! Sometimes I'd pinch myself to see if I was dreaming because dating a sweet, adorable, beautiful girl like Miyoko feels like a dream! Me and Miyoko both entered the drama club together. Every Wednesday after school the two of us would go there and practice, Miyoko felt more comfortable since we sang in a chorus.

I lay in my bed thinking about how adorable Miyoko was at school today. I then pinch myself again to see if being able to walk in the hallways with her while holding her soft, delicate hand was a dream even though we do this everyday.

"It's not a drea~m!" I squealed in excitement while rolling from side to side like a loser. Out of nowhere I heard a loud noise coming from my window, it sounded a lot like thunder. I looked out my window that was right next to my bed and what do you know, it was thunder. It started raining like crazy, I could already hear the loud rain pouring down. This was really bad…Miyoko has a huge fear of thunder. There was this one time when we were in elementary school and riding in a school bus on our way to some museum I think where it started thundering and Miyoko had a mental breakdown because of that. I remember feeling so useless because I sucked ass at trying to comfort her. There was also another time that was not too long ago, probably a few months ago when we were walking home from school and it started to thunder. I remember Miyoko starting to exhale and her body was visibly shaking. She was even in tears! It was really hard for me to watch. I really hated seeing her like that. I ended up taking her back inside the school and we waited for the storm to stop. And given the fact that her parents are away on a business trip means she's all alone! I rushed out of my bed and got out a light brown coat from my closet. I quickly put it on and rushed downstairs. I put my rain boots on and dashed out of my house. I put my hood on and sprint in the rain, panting as I do so.

'Hang in there, Miyoko! I'm running as fast as I can!'

As I sprinted through my neighborhood I imagined how lonely and terrified Miyoko must be right now, this made me sprint faster. I have a key to her house and she has a key to mine, when we were little we begged our parents for those keys. I was holding that key right now.

"Yes! Finally made it!'

I opened Miyoko's door with my key and quickly went in. It was really dark, so I made my way to her room and opened the door. She wasn't there…I then heard sniffling and small squeaking coming from her closet. I dashed to the closet and opened it to find Miyoko hugging her knees and trembling. She looked up at me with tears running down her cheeks.

"Ku…Kuro?" She squeaked in a shaky voice.

"Miyoko!" I rushed over to her, went on my knees and started hugging her. She felt so cold. She was trembling so much, I could feel her. I suddenly feel Miyoko hug me back, her hands clutched onto the back of my coat. She clung to me so desperately. She buried her face in my chest and quietly sobbed. I pet her head as I held her close. After a while I let go of Miyoko, I wanted to make her more comfortable.

"I'll be right back," I whispered softly to her. She nodded and then I went to her desk where she draws (btw I saw a bunch of her drawings and they're so freaking adorable!) and grabbed the headphones laid on that desk. I then went to her bed and took her blanket and pillow. I carried all that into the closet.

"Try to get some sleep okay? I'll stay right here beside you," I said as I put the headphones on her head. I then kissed her forehead. Miyoko had a cute little smile on her face,

"Thank you for coming, Kuro. I love you so much." She said in a soft voice. She laid on the pillow and I put the blanket over her. Miyoko looked uneasy, she looked like she wanted to say something.

"Is something wrong?" I asked with concern.

"Uh-umm…" Her face turned red and she flusteredly pulled her blanket over her face, 'c-can we…c-c-c-cuddle?" She asked in a small, high pitched voice as she pulled the blanket more over.

"Ah!" that really caught me off guard, my face was heating up. "ummm…uh-uh-uuuh…I uh…" I uttered like an idiot. I couldn't think straight, my heart was literally pumping out of my chest.

"It's okay! Forget I said anything! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say something so embarrassing out of nowhere…You're doing so much to help me and I just put you on the spot like that…I'm really sorry…" she said in a guilty tone. She completely misunderstood my feelings, this is literally what I had dreamed of for so freaking long! Cuddling with Miyoko!? Are you freaking kidding me!? Just the thought of that is having me burst into excitement! Sure I'm overwhelmed and nervous as hell but I'm also beyond freaking pumped. My heart is still racing out of my chest as I nervously lay next to Miyoko. Miyoko gasped as I did so.

"K-Kuro…you really don't have to do this-"

"I-I want to!…I really really want to, Miyoko! Please believe me!" I shrieked out bravely. Miyoko looked in shock, I took a deep breath and put my arm behind her back. "You…y-y-you can move in closer," I uttered. Miyoko shyly scooted closer towards me and laid her head on my chest. I wrapped my arm around her and held her close.

"Your heart's beating really fast, Kuro…" Miyoko whispered softly, "Are you sure you're okay with this?" I nodded.

"O-of course I am…more than okay with it actually…this feels really nice,"

Miyoko smiled,

"I feel so much better now, thank you, Kuro." She said,

"Really? I'm so glad to here, that, Miyoko!" I said while smiling. This is the best day of my life! I can literally die happy now.
