142 Test of Soul

They arrive at the Temple and everyone was ready to go inside but two people were quite against what John and Nesiara said before as Kieron and Yui asks, "Just because we are overpowered we can't enter, isn't that a little unfair towards us?"

"It isn't," says Nesiara as John looked at Nora.

"Nora," says John as Nora turned towards John as he continues, "We are going somewhere special."

"Wait, where are you going?" asks Kieron as John pointed to the north.

"We are going to a special island that contains something that could power her sword up," says John as Nora's eyes sparkled while her face still was as unemotional as ever.

"I will look out for Shinra then with the others," says Nesiara as John hasn't told her yet about the conversation he had with Reeves.

"They won't come," says John as Nesiara looked at him confused when he continues, "I had a talk with Reeves yesterday night before I meet you with the girl. He has given Shinra wrong information about our next location and we protect his mother and a little boy that was with her."

"That would help our cause since we now only have to worry about Sephiroth and what he is going to do," says Nesiara as John begins to float in the air with Nora.

"Where are we going?" asks Nora as John pets her head.

"You will see once we are there," says John as he begins to fly with her towards the north.

They overfly Midgar while doing that when John asks, "Is there something between you and Yuffie?"

"No, Yuffie is like a little sister for me," says Nora as she really wasn't in love with anyone in the group.

"Well, I really hope that you find someone sooner or later," says John as he sees the island and says, "We need to land over there."

"Alright," says Nora as she follows her father as the island was quite small but she felt something calling her the nearer they got and says, "Something is calling me."

"Did you know that in almost any world there is a Legend of a King and his Twelve Knights or a Legendary Sword. What they don't know is that all are somehow connected," says John as he felt a connection between all the stories that he read about Excalibur and King Arthur from every World and they were all different except for one thing.

The sword appeared out of nowhere and was placed with its guardians Merlin and The Woman in the Lake in said worlds only for King Arthur to draw the sword out of the rock it was impaled in. And with what Logan and Jack told them that this Excalibur belonged to the person that was the original Godking.

It could only make this Excalibur may be an incomplete version of the real Excalibur since I don't think that a weapon belonging to someone that strong would still be in one piece.

They landed in front of the entrance as Nora wanted to rush inside when John stops her and says, "We don't know what will await us inside."

"There is something calling me," says Nora as she passed her father and rushed inside when she was in a Hall with a round table and a Red Materia being in the middle of the table.

The Hall had Thirteen Statues around the walls as they were carrying different weapons when Excalibur comes out without a warning and Nora grabs it when John entered the Hall when he sees his daughter holding her sword over the table.

The Materia began to float up towards Excalibur making the statues in the Hall suddenly move as they lift their weapons pointing it towards the table when the Materia fuses with Excalibur and Excalibur began to shine in a bright red color right now when it was in Nora's hand.

John walks over towards Nora as he wanted to congratulate her when he sees that the eyes of his daughter were blank. He took her pulse finding her alive when Jack appears.

"What is going on?" asks John as Jack sighs.

"She is undergoing a test. She must pass it to become worthy of this Excalibur. The real Excalibur was split apart into three pieces. Every piece was hidden away. She is lucky to have found one of them but unlucky to have found the last and most hardest piece," says Jack as he was holding a green stone and a blue stone in his hand.

"What do you mean?" asks John seeing the stones in Jack's hand.

"One stands for strength," says Jack showing the green stone when he continues, "The other for wisdom," as the blue stone was now shown when Jack then points at the red Materia that fused with Excalibur and says, "And the last for the soul. She has to pass a test after putting the sword together with one piece. Once all pieces are together the sword will radiate and take its true form."

"So it's a test to see if her souk is strong enough?" asks John worried about his daughter as Jack shakes his head.

"Not really it's to see if she can defeat the man that is named Arthur Pendragon. He was the original wielder of the sword and was a fragment of the original Godking and the first Shadow. But maybe we should go and see the test for ourselves," says Jack as he grabs John and both disappear and appear on a training field.

John looked around and behind him was a Palace while on the training field was Nora fighting a man that was wearing a Black armor decorated with Golden Dragons when John asks, "Where are we?"

"We are in the Warrior's Realm. This is the Realm my father used as a prison for every person that broke the Heavenly Laws," says Jack as he pointed at the man in the armor.

The man wasn't tall compared to him or Jack but he was at least 30cm taller than Nora. He had dark blond hair while his eyes were red when John asks, "Is he some child of you we don't know about?"

"No," says Jack as he was quite offended by his grandson to even think he would do that behind his wives' back.

"Heis even longer alive than I am," says Jack as John was confused when he looked at Jack for an explanation.

"Arthur here is the first person Shura ever reincarnated," says Logan who appears behind them.

"What do you mean?" asks John as Logan was looking at the fight that was taking place at the moment.

"What he means is that Arthur is a person that could have taken the throne if he wanted to but didn't because of some reason. He was punished for the chaos that happened in the Four Realms for eternal life in the Warrior's Realm," says Logan while he smiled as well as Jack.

"Why are you smiling?" asks John when Jack looks at him.

"Arthur might have been punished by Shura for eternal life in this prison but did you know that normally a prisoner can't enter the Palace nor its Facilities without the permission of the King of this Realm," says Logan as John was slowly putting the pieces together.

"That person is the King of this Realm?" asks John to be sure when Logan and Jack look at him.

"Bingo," say Logan and Jack as they then turned back to the battle between Nora and Arthur that was taking place at the moment.

Arthur was holding a complete Excalibur while Nora was holding an incomplete one as Arthur says, "Girl did you want to run before even have learned how to crawl. I will go easy on you."

Arthur gets into position as he was holding the sword with both hands and says, "Ready girl."

Nora goes into position as Jack snaps his finger and both rush at each other. Arthur swings his sword at Nora as Nora tries to block it only to find herself fly through the training ground.

John wanted to intervene when both, Logan and Jack, stop him from doing something stupid when Arthur rushes at Nora who makes hand seals and clones herself.

"You rely on petty tricks instead of your sword. Let me show you something that Shura didn't teach anyone of you," says Arthur as his sword was surrounded by darkness and light qi at the same time before he swings his sword destroying all the clones in the field.

"You need to trust your sword with your life if you want to unlock its full potential," says Arthur as suddenly Excalibur's Authority activated making Nora, as well as John, feel the pressure of a Godking.

Nora was holding her sword not letting go of it while Arthur walked towards her and says, "Excalibur is a sword that can see through everything. It doesn't need a trickster as its owner but a King or Queen someone that walks towards his or her enemy showing no fear of death even if said opponent is the Godking himself."

Now Logan and Jack looked curious at Arthur since they didn't know about his history when Arthur stopped in front of Nora and lifted his sword to give the final blow when Nora tried to stand up.

"You want to struggle," says Arthur with a smile as he continues, "The wielder of this Sword, Excalibur, has to wield the burden the previous owners."

Suddenly a man with long black hair and red eyes appeared beside Arthur. Then another person wearing an armor that was white while the clothes under it were blue. He had blond hair and blue eyes. More and more people appeared behind Arthur as they were all looking at Nora waiting for her to stand up.

Nora could see them while John couldn't as he looked at Jack who seemed shocked as if he saw a ghost when Logan asks, "Do you know one of them?"

"Yes, the first one that appeared is the man that gave me my title as Shadow," says Jack as the Deathseeker looked at the two and smiled before his eyes flashed suddenly the Alpha and Omega in them before it disappeared again.

Nora was fighting to stand up but never let go of her sword as she was almost up when the pressure put her back on one knee with Excalibur being stuck in the ground.

"Are you going to fight against your destiny or fall as destiny wants it from you?" asks Arthur as he looked at Nora when suddenly Nora was surrounded by Excalibur's Authority as well when she stands up only to suddenly appear in a black space and find herself surrounded by Black Dragons that are flying around her.

"Don't be scared they won't do anything to you," says Arthur as he appears to sit on a throne made out of Black Steel.

"Where are we?" asks Nora as Arthur smiles.

"We are in my armor right now or at least our minds are. I can't tell our secret to those two after all," says Arthur as he stands up and says, "Stand proudly sister then you passed the test of soul. We who carry this sword are the wall between the Gods and Mankind. We will are the ones that can kill-"

Nora couldn't understand the last part as she collapsed and Arthur smiles when Deathseeker appears and says, "You went too far with the girl. You knew far too well that you are an overkill for her."

"It's the Test of Soul, of course, I have to go hard on her," says Arthur as he let stamps on the ground with his foot when he says, "You all are witnesses of her success. You will follow her in battle as you followed me when the time came."

Suddenly a roar could be heard as a giant army made out of many people of different colors stood all around the three as they kneel down.

They then appeared on the training ground again as Nora fell over and Arthur caught her and walks over towards the other three as he says, "She passed the test."

John takes his little girl in his arms as he was quite proud of his daughter who was still holding on her sword not letting go of it when Arthur takes the two stones from Jack and whispers something to them before the sword began to float again.

The stones fly towards the sword and fuse with it when the sword change in appearance as it was now having golden in linings and the name was written in gold while the base of the blade was completely black while the edge was shining white showing its sharpness as well as an aura that was far more purer than before.

"What did you tell her?" asks Logan as Arthur smiles.

"Only she will know but even she collapsed in the middle of it. I just hope that she never has to do her duty while her father and mother are around," says Arthur as he then pushed them out of the Warrior's Realm surprising Jack and Logan that he could that.

"I should go before someone wakes up," says Logan as he disappears while Jack disappears as well leaving the passed out Nora with John alone for now.
