296 Nesiara's Exam Final part
Nesiara was doing her current job as a Reaper for thirty years now and she still hasn't fully grasped the duties, responsibilities, and powers of the Goddess of Life and Death but she was getting closer with every day she is living in this illusion.
"It is the time of the day," says Lorena as she appears across Nesiara holding her lunch.
"It is," says Nesiara taking the lunch from Lorena as she only has three attempts each day to give Lorena the answer she is waiting for.
"Then do you have my answer?" asks Lorena as Nesiara sits down taking her lunch out of the bag.
"The Goddess of Life and Death is the Keeper of the Balance. She or He has to make sure that the Balance doesn't claim more souls to maintain itself in balance," says Nesiara as Lorena looked at her seriously while Nesiara takes a bite from her lunch.
"We are there to make sure that not too many are dying nor born into the world. We are also making sure that every soul reaches the Nothingness where they will be judged if they can enter their personal heaven or hell since they all believe in different Gods," continues Nesiara as she takes another bite from her lunch.
"Almost, but you are quite close. But you don't know the most important part of our duty and how could you since you have never seen it," says Lorena as the environment changed for Nesiara.
They were standing in the air when Nesiara see the stream of souls pouring into the Nothingness when Lorena says, "You want to know the last piece of our duty than follow the stream of souls."
"You aren't coming with me?" asks Nesiara as Lorena shakes her head.
"No, you have to figure it out yourself as did Abigail before you and I before her when I took over after my father's death," says Lorena seriously as she has an angry expression on her face while looking at the distance.
"Why that expression?" asks Nesiara worried as Lorena looks at her.
"You will understand once you have seen it," says Lorena as she didn't move from where she was while Nesiara followed the stream of soul.
She reached the castle which Lorena called her ancestral home when she sees the stream go downwards into a cliff. Nesiara followed it while being confused since this doesn't look like a place to judge souls when she hears screams coming from deeper under her.
She reached the end and was shocked to find a giant seal eating all of the souls when she shouts shocked and angry about this revelation, "That can't be!"
She flies out of the cliff to join with Lorena again. Once reunited she grabbed Lorena by her collar before she was overpowered by Lorena.
"Do you think I like that thing eating all the souls," says Lorena angry before letting go of Nesiara.
"Then why aren't you stopping it?" asks Nesiara angry as Lorena sighs.
"We tried but we failed because of Shura and Arthur," says Lorena which confused Nesiara.
"Did they create the seal?" asks Nesiara angry as Lorena shakes her head.
"The seal is older than all of us the only one older than the seal would be the two beings sealed inside of it and the man who calls himself Deathseeker. He created the seal to imprison the two beings but to keep it that way it needs a lot of energy which only souls can provide," says Lorena as she looks at Nesiara seriously.
"Our first priority is to keep this seal running until someone who isn't a Godking can defeat and kill the two beings inside this prison. And for that, I took a piece of several souls from people that fought against them before. I gave them to Abigail and Kara," says Lorena as the environment changed again making them appear in the city Nesiara was reaping souls.
"Kara implanted a piece of Arthur and Shura into John while Abigail placed a piece of Hel, Jeanne, myself into you. We are there to make you stronger once you assimilated a piece of our strength and all our memories," says Lorena as she caresses Nesiara's cheek sounding sad.
"We fought and failed and so did Logan and Jack. Now it is your turn but you are different. You are fighting against them not wanting to receive the power of the Godking. I really hope that everything ends with you two so the souls can finally enter their heaven as they should instead of becoming food for the seal," says Lorena as she touches her forehead.
"Now, girl, the last answer. What is the Goddess of Life and Death?" asks Lorena as she looked sad and happy at the same time awaiting Nesiara's answer.
"The creator of all Life because if it wasn't her there wouldn't be Death. She is the Mother of All as well as the Reaper to make sure that the Life we are living has meaning. The beauty of Life is Death," says Nesiara as Jeanne and Hel appeared around here.
Fenghuang flew into Nesiara's chest ripping her clothes apart making a black tattoo of a Phoenix with blue eyes appear over her right breast while the environment changed making Nesiara appear in the Castle again.
"What is going on?" asks Nesiara as her armor manifested when Hel turned into a green flame that entered her body.
Nesiara began to scream in pain as blood began to run down her cheeks as her eyes were burning while her hair was slowly taking a darker shade of red. Her eyes turned golden as she saw Jeanne approaching her walking on the light.
Faith manifested in Nesiara's hands when Jeanne touches it and bright light engulfed Nesiara which purified her legacies making them cleaner and stronger than before as black goo was coming out of Nesiara's body which was the impurity inside her legacies.
"Are you ready to become the Reaper himself, girl?" asks Lorena as she entered her Reaper form which made her a skeleton wearing a black cloak while holding a normal scythe.
She walks towards Nesiara as darkness was making a path for her to not touch the ground before she enters Nesiara's body when a mask begins to form over her face which resembles a Skull.
Her armor turned black with golden outlining while a double-headed scythe appear in her other hand as darkness begins to spread into her body as did light before.
She screamed in immense pain when a black cape appears attached to her armor and while Faith was slowly turning into another weapon. It became smaller before they turned into two weapons.
They looked like handguns when darkness suddenly jumped onto one turning it black before it completely manifested while the light jumped onto one of the scythe's heads.
Faith now turned into handguns resembling the Jackal just with the inscription of Heaven in gold on the white gun while Hell was in red on the black one.
But Nesiara couldn't concentrate on that at the moment because of the pain she was feeling as she fell to her knees before shouting and green flames shot out of her mouth like a Dragon's Breath.
She was fighting the pain before her eyes turned black and her crimson hair was shining brightly as the darkness and light formed a core which the green flame surrounded before Nesiara collapsed.
She was seeing darkness before the first memories of Lorena passed in front of her eyes. Seeing the whole life of the first Goddess of Life and Death before she saw Jeanne's and Hel's memories.
She woke up from her illusion and found herself trapped in stone when she releases the green flame to burn her a way out of her stone prison.
Once the stones flew in all directions she saw her son looking at her when she takes him into her arms as she felt sad thinking that she missed almost forty-five years since she was stabbed by Abigail.
"How long was I gone?" asks Nesiara as Bran answered her when Master Kaio walked towards her.
He wanted to kneel before her but she stopped him since she wasn't the Goddess of Life and Death yet. She then jumps down towards Hell carrying her two scythe's which had also names inscribed on their handle.
The one engulfed in light is called Salvation while the one engulfed in darkness is called Damnation. If both are put together the name is Nirvana.
Nesiara smiled before taking Heaven and Hell out as the Ogres in Hell didn't want to get into Nesiara's way because of the aura surrounding her. Nesiara was walking through Hell when she sees a blue and red ogre talking to each other.
She approaches them while reducing her aura so they don't notice her until it was too late as she puts her scythes against their necks and asks, "Where can I find the dead Saiyan?"
"They should be near the Flaming Sea," says the red ogre rapidly as Nesiara retracts the scythes.
"Thanks," says Nesiara before she stops and turns around before asking, "In which direction lays the Flaming Sea?"
This made both ogres fall dumbfounded to the ground before the blue one says, "You need to pass the Tree of Death go across the Bridge of Torment and from there you only need to hold yourself to your right until you see the Flaming Sea."
"Thanks again," says Nesiara as she still didn't have any idea but she could piece everything together if she finds the Tree of Death which turned out to be true.
She passed a tree on which souls were hanging from before arriving at a bridge from where they jumped from into the lava underneath it. Then she followed the right way until arriving at the Flaming Sea and Nesiara sees all the Saiyans.
"Now I only need to find Bardock and Gine and prepare them for what is going to happen soon," says Nesiara before sighing and saying, "Better said than done with all those Saiyans around."
And so Nesiara's little adventure in Hell began.
