To See or Not to See

You know people say they know you

But couldn't pick you out of a crowd

They recongnise the name

But can't put a face to it

Wa are all so friendly to eachothers faces

But in the end we don't really care

We are all swept up in the US

That we forget everyone else

We forgot the feeling

The emotion

The rush

That comes with social awareness

We forgot how to talk

How to connect.

How to find people (How to connect with them)

Without hitting search

What do we think would happen

If we stopped being all in our phones

And looked up

Looked around

Would our understanding change

Would some of the anger and jealousy

Lose its hold

Or would we only start saying the words to our faces.
