Felt That She Was Lucky

The junior year at Guang Chen High School has started.

"Bye Ma! I gotta go! I can't be late for the first day!" I hurried at my mom as she kept checking my tie and shirt. Then I ran out of the door and speed walking to school.

"Finally!" I shouted when I arrived at the gates. I panted a bit and someone tapped at my back.

"You must've been on a hurry to get to school. Can't wait already?"

I turned around to see Fu Zhang behind me. "Not really! I don't love school that much and I thought I would be late to school."

We walked together to the open ceremony which is held outside at the fields. Hua Ming walks right up to us and greets us.

"I am so excited! I hope we have the same homeroom teacher together!" Hua Ming says.

"Same!" I said back.

After the opening ceremony, the students separated and headed off to homeroom classrooms. Luckily, I will be with Fu Zhang and Hua Ming in our homeroom class with Ms. Bai Qi. We got assigned seats. I sit next to the window which is one of the best spots in a classroom. Fu Zhang and Hua Ming are across the room from me next to each other. I kinda felt that she was lucky because Fu Zhang is nice and smart so he would have helped me with in-class work.

Ms. Bai Qi talked forever about rules and she seemed like one of the strictest teachers ever to exist. One of her rules is that if you are late to her class for even a minute, you would need to come up in front of the class to explain why you're late and do a couple of math problems or homework problems on the chalkboard.

Ms. Bai Qi ended the day with her asking the class on electing the class president and vice president. Slips of paper were given to everyone in the class. Each student can nominate another or themselves on the paper and put it in the ballot box. The next day, Ms. Bai Qi will read the nominations.
