[Ch'7] D-day and Dark Encounter?

I entered the carriage after the servants finished loading all my stuff on the carriage.

None of my family members was present in the estate, so only the servant went to see me off.

After saying my goodbyes to Elese. The carriage started moving.

"Young master were moving now"

"Yeah"

The coachman notified me.

The Marhemly County is located further away from the capital where the academy is, so the journey to the capital would take 3 to 4 days. The carriage was fine, and it was comfortable. There were also escort knights from the family.

It was now night time, I left the mansion at noon and after 9 hours of being on the road, the knights wanted to rest and set up a camp.

They planned on continuing the journey tomorrow morning.

I'm sure the knights from the family were capable, so I don't have to worry, but I feel like they're treating me insincerely...

I went out of the carriage to talk to the main character.

The sun was gone, replaced by a full moon.

It was around the time we should stop and continue our journey tomorrow.

I was expecting the knights to stop but they haven't.

I looked out the windows to see what the knights are up to.

"Huh?"

"What's wrong?"

"It's nothing, No, I mean the knights are gone?"

I was confused. I looked out a bit more but I still can't see any of the knights that were escorting me.

I suddenly got a chill down my spine.

"Hey! Where are the knights, I can't see them"

I asked the coachman where the knights are.

But I was greeted with no response.

'This is strange.'

"Eden, what's wrong?"

"The knights are gone"

"What?"

"I don't know too, but the knights are gone"

I became anxious. I've thought about it but never expected it.

'Could they... No way right? I haven't done anything'

Alberto keeps asking me what's happening.

"We need to leave this carri- Aagh!!"

An arrow just struck the carriage window, shattering it.

"We need to run!"

"Are we being attacked?"

"Can't you see?"

I tried to open the door but it was locked.

Just then. a person wearing a dark cloak appeared behind Albert and hits his neck.

Seeing a mysterious person just break the window and hits Albert's neck. panicked me more.

I tried to move but my body wouldn't.

My sight went blank and I feel like my body was collapsing.

I lost consciousness.
