The year is 2067, following the mass genocide in the year 2020 that was World War 3 the world leaders had to think fast to be able to contain and control what little was left of the population and maybe even to prevent another war of the same sheer magnitude happening again. Imperfection is what they called it, a simple name given to what most people now considered to be a ghastly sickness that they avoided like the plague. They blamed human imperfection on all the things that had gone wrong in human history, so...what do you do when you see a bad apple in the bunch? What do you do when you see a weed growing among the fresh produce? You root it out and that is precisely what they planned to do. Everyone's quality of life is now determined by how attractive and smart they are or in simpler terms by how 'perfect' they are .When one comes of age they have to take a mandatory test to determine their level of perfection and are given a number based on how good they are. This is all in a bid to kill off people with lower numbers and trigger a manual sort of evolution where one day humanity will all be perfect.
