I'm just a bit addicted

"5306."

Wendy sent the room number, but it wasn't intended for her boyfriend, Glen.

This idea was decided by Wendy half an hour after discovering Glen's infidelity. At that moment, Wendy saw the other woman's feet engaging in a flirtatious game on Glen's legs. Clearly, both parties were skilled in this exciting game, believing that no one would notice.

When the doorbell rang, Wendy snapped back to reality, adjusted her disheveled robe, which was meant to be unwrapped by Glen as her birthday gift.

As the door swung open, Wendy was nearly breathless from the passionate kiss. Her line of sight could only see a pair of eyes with a hint of emotion at the corners, and it wasn't until the prominent bridge of the nose grazed her own that she could clearly see the visitor—Dirk.

But Dirk didn't give the woman in his arms a chance to react. As soon as he realized what she was wearing under her robe, he exerted a slight pressure with his arm, and she was pressed against the full-length mirror next to the door.

Dirk exuded a cold and woody scent, and after a moment of daze, Wendy closed her eyes, surrendering herself to the moment.

Perhaps it was her initiative that ignited Dirk. He was passionate, unlike the impression Wendy had of him.

However, what Wendy didn't know was that just as the elevator doors chimed, Glen arrived at the door, witnessing this scene.

With a single hand, Dirk pressed her hands against the top of her head, and with the other hand, he teased her hair, blocking Wendy entirely. As Glen prepared to rush in with anger, Dirk turned his head, giving Glen a wicked smile.

Glen's face instantly turned pale, and with a swift kick from Dirk's long leg, the door was firmly closed, emitting the distinctive sound of a hotel room door.

Glen would probably never forget that scene in his next life, but it didn't matter. Who cares?

"The first time?" Dirk's voice echoed in the darkness.

Wendy didn't respond, but his actions became much gentler, not as intense as in the beginning. In the latter part, Wendy only remembered that she was almost hanging on Dirk throughout.

She suddenly remembered something from previous gatherings when someone had mentioned that Dirk's physique looked particularly impressive. She thought that next time, she could speak from experience.

4:30 AM

After plugging in her phone to charge, Wendy saw 30 missed calls, all from unknown numbers.

Wendy had no interest in returning the calls because she guessed that it was probably Glen using someone else's phone after realizing he had been blocked.

The sky outside the window was still dimly lit. When she woke up, she found herself alone in bed, and she assumed Dirk had already left.

The scattered clothes on the floor had been neatly placed on the couch, and the air conditioning had been adjusted to the most comfortable temperature.

She pulled back the covers and sat up, thinking that people's previous evaluations of Dirk were somewhat superficial. At least the experiences she had last night were quite enjoyable and extraordinary.

However, she had no intention of staying here any longer. She had originally come to celebrate her birthday with Glen, but given the current situation, working overtime at her company seemed more productive than wasting time here.

At least the latter would make her boss happy, while the former would just frustrate herself.

Wendy never intended to shortchange herself in this regard. As she was choosing clothes from her suitcase, the bathroom door opened.

Dirk also didn't expect to come out of the shower to find such a pleasant surprise. The woman had an excellent figure, slender but with ample assets in all the right places. Her lightly curled long hair complemented her fair skin, and perhaps due to their recent passionate encounter, there was a faint blush on her.

Vibrant and alluring, like a succubus.

This was Dirk's deepest impression.

Wendy's pause was only momentary, but she quickly regained her composure, her gaze assessing Dirk more boldly than ever. After all, before this encounter, Dirk had given her a stereotypical impression of being disciplined, reserved, and aloof, and last night had revealed another side of him.

Dirk didn't avoid her appraising gaze and allowed her critical eyes to roam over him with apparent ease. Unwiped droplets of water rolled along the well-defined contours of his muscles within the towel's confines. In the dim yellow light, Wendy found herself oddly tempted to whistle like a rogue.

"Mr. Dirk," she began but realized her throat was surprisingly hoarse.

A light chuckle, unmistakably from the man.

Given the current circumstances, polite small talk didn't seem appropriate. Wendy abandoned her restraint, saying, "I don't think it's quite appropriate for you to stare at me like this."

After all, he still had a towel around him, while she only had her long hair. This situation wasn't particularly flattering.

"Do you mind having another go?" he suggested.

Wendy turned her neck stiffly, momentarily thinking she must have misheard.

The last light in the room went out with a soft click. The man scooped her up around the waist, and Wendy instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck.

In the midst of her disarrayed emotions, she heard him say, "Sorry, I'm just a bit addicted."

Wendy wasn't sure when Dirk had left. She only remembered sleeping until 2 o'clock in the afternoon.

She didn't expect someone as busy as Dirk to take the time to sit down with her, a one-night stand, to discuss last night's experience.

In the end, he was handsome, and he performance in bed was commendable. Wendy didn't feel have a loss.

However, Wendy didn't expect their second encounter to happen so quickly.

This resort was newly developed and known for its tranquil environment, which meant it was far from the city. But she didn't anticipate that even calling a cab would be this challenging.

"Get in," Colin said when he pulled up in front of Wendy. She was somewhat surprised because she didn't think the owner of this development area would remember her, not considering herself a notable figure.

"It's hard to get a taxi here. Where are you going?" Colin asked casually.

"To the city."

"On the way, hop in. We're heading back too."

Since he put it that way, Wendy didn't make a fuss. She had only met Colin a few times and mostly spent time with Glen. However, she knew that Colin, the rich young man, was famous for being a gentleman, especially towards women. Yet, it didn't prevent him from changing girlfriends quite frequently.
