Kaboom! BAng! An array of fireworks brighten the dull sky. Loud and tiresome, I always thought, but tonight I don't mind, since they would make the perfect cover.
We stand opposite each other. Your soft familiar stare gazes at me, if I were normal I would believe your eyes, and fall into them, but fret not because I see the true intentions behind them. You smile. A smile that leads to your eyes, 'you have to end it'. The hem of my coat dampens on the wet alley ground. I grasp my holster and fire first, and last. Your blood stains my footsteps. The fireworks continue and the banging of my pistol harmonises.
"My liege?" I flinch
It starts to pour down with heavy rain, and the banging stops.
"My liege, is it done?" A concerned, trusting voice approaches me.
The rain pours harder and my tears are engulfed.
"Indeed, I have completed my duty. Let's return, Amar." I reply as sternly as possible.
