6 Tale 6: The Tale Of The Emperor Of The Mortals
"The king with be decide by a battle between the candidates.", I replied.
"In that case, I challenge you to a duel for the throne!", A male voice from the villagers announced.
Oh? Isn't that the guy that look like he isn't trying in the training. I knew that this guy isn't normal.
"In that case Satanael and Light will duel each other for the throne! The rules are that there will be no killing and no disabling your opponents. You must stop immediately when your opponent surrender.", Grandpa announced.
Light huh? Arrogant and courageous, just like me in my younger days.
500 years ago.....
"Please sir. I've haven't eaten for days...could you please give me something to eat? A couple of coins would be fine as well.", My 10 years old said.
Before I met my master, I was an orphan who was homeless and have to walk the street everyday begging for food and changes. I have nowhere to go and nowhere to stay until I met him. One day when I was eating half of a dumpling that someone throw away, master has walked toward me and said that I have a body gifted for cultivation. He ask me if I wanted to be his disciple and of course I immediately agree since I have nothing to lose. From that day on, my life have turn over a new page. I was able to eat and live a carefree life with my master. He would train me, feed me, and take care of me like I'm his own son. Just like that ten years have pass and I've now at the peak of cultivation and one stage away from being an Immortal. That was also the saddest part of my life. Master said that he has something to do and he won't be back for awhile so I have to walk my own path from now on. The amulet, that is currently merge with me, was a parting gift from my master. He said that it would one day help me when I'm in danger and that is exactly what it did.
As I journey through the land, I've made many friends and enemies...one of them was the love of my life. Her name was Lydia. She was just an innocent nineteen years old girl who has a low self-confident when I first met her. I asked her why is she so scare to show her real face to me and she told me that she was different from everyone so its hard for her to fit in. After two years of being together, I finally convince her to reveal her face to me. As expected, she was beautiful and attractive, but the reason why she doesn't want to show her face is because she is the daughter of a human and a female demon. Half of her hair was white and she have red eyes with a lotus mark on her forehead. She must've inherited more gene from her father since she doesn't have any horn or body parts that a demon have. Lydia was hiding her face her entire life because other people would call her a monster because she is a hybrid. I told her that 'you are beautiful just the way you are so don't let others opinions change you' as our forehead touch and our lips slowly touched. From that day on, we fell in love with each other and live a happy and carefree life day after day. I would teach her my cultivation techniques so that her cultivation stage would increase rapidly as well. When both of us are one step away from turning to an Immortal, we journey through the lands together, slay several evils, rescues many innocents, free many countries from dictators, and unites all the continents. By the time we finish, the people has acknowledged us as their leaders and crown us as their Emperor and Queen. I was Emperor for hundreds of years, have a happy family, but master still isn't back. Worse, I have no idea that I would be dying in the hand of my love.
*sigh*
"Hey leader! Why the hell are you spacing out during our duel.", Light yelled as he slash his sword down from above.
*Block with my sword*
I use my left hand to grab his arm and throw him to the ground, but he quickly counter by kicking my leg to make me lose balance. I then rapidly attack Light with multiple stabs and slashes. *Clang,clang, clang*
This is guy is good. He manages to deflect and counter all of my attacks.
"Your sword fight are pretty good. Are you sure that you are only a soldier?", I praised.
He smile and raise his sword to the sky. Looks like Light want to end this fight and so am I.
"Demonic Royal Sword Art, Final technique: Emperor Dragon Slash Of Destruction!", Light yelled as his slash turn into a golden three-headed dragon heading toward me.
"You have talent, but if you think this is enough to beat me then you are wrong.", I smiled.
As the dragon approach me, I pointed my sword in its mouth and turn it right back Light direction. He tried to block it, but end up being blast down to the ground. I walked toward him and point my sword at his throat.
"I now announce that Satanael win this duel and will be our new king!", Grandpa announced.
"You fought well.", I smiled as I reach out my arm and pull him up from the ground.
"Now head back to you home and get a good rest. We need to leave early tomorrow to visit other villages and ask them to join our kingdom." I ordered as I walk away.
"Hey leader! The next time we have a match, I'll definitely win!", Light yelled.
"I'll be waiting for the day you can beat me!", I replied as I wave my arm.
We all head back to our home and rest.
The following day at dawn we get on our horses and march towards all of our neighbor villages and gave them back the resources that Black Moon rob from them and ask them to join our kingdom. By the end of the day, we were able to gain the alliance of all of the villages and our kingdom was form.
That night, I decide to throw a big party to celebrate the creation of our kingdom. All of the citizens the kingdom are gathered and I heard an interesting conversation from two demon.
"Hey have you heard yet? They finally found the daughter of the former Eldest Princess of the Demon Lord.", One started.
"You mean the one that fell in love with a human from the Mortal Realm? I heard she got strip off her title and exile from the castle.", The other one continued.
"I think her daughter name was Ly..Ly...Ly", He struggled.
"Lydia!", I interrupt
"Your highness, you know this person?", The one with a scar in his head asked.
"No, I also heard the news recently as well.", I lied.
Oh not only do I know who she is, she is also my wife. Lydia is the daughter of the Eldest daughter of the Demon Lord. Could the disappearance of the Demon Lord and the chaos of the Demon Realm are all cause by her?
