1 First Day Of Kindergarten;

Teacher; "Hi Everyone My name is Mrs. Lyla, Now I would like all of you to come around and find a rug to sit on so we can talk about what we are going to do today and how we will assign seats".

So my thoughts at that time were, "Oh, boy, the teacher's talking loud because she thinks we can't hear her but really, we can and she is just adding to all the commotion that's going on and making herself and everyone else harder to hear." It wasn't all bad though. I was shy and still hiding behind my mom at the time but really, why did everyone think yelling was the only way to hear and get other people to listen?

Anyways, my mom told me "Go sit down and have fun with the other kids." That First day of school was not my best day. I told her "NO" and then hid again hiding behind her. My mom gave me the look she always does when she knows I was being a bad girl and then I let go. She said "Good now go sit down with the others." Mrs. Lyla grabbed me from my mom and took me and put me on a rug next to another little boy who was also quite. I waved bye to my mom, even though I knew she was mad at me. She waved back and said "Have a nice day!"

I thought to myself that 'maybe this day couldn't get any worse if I decided to make the best of it and tried to make friends'.

Sitting down on the rug I noticed a girl that was sitting next to me, I said "Hi, my name's Kamarie." She looked at me and asked "Are you talking to me??" I looked back at her and said "Yes." She's like "Oh, Hi to you too, my name's Tesla." I told her "That's a cool name" and all she did was shrug, to be honest before kindergarten I had never been out of the house so the only people I knew where my family and everyone in my family was so so nice I never would have thought it to be rude to shrug someone off and so I really just let it side. I thought she was a nice girl and we could be friends.

The Teacher was like "Everyone quite it down it's time to take roll call."

Later at lunch when Everyone was eating, I thought I would try to talk to Tesla again since I couldn't finish talking to her that morning. As I walked by all the tables I saw the little quite boy who never talked and I still really didn't know his name. I went to a table that was empty and sat down to eat, some kids over at the other table where laughing there heads off and looking at me, I didn't get what was so funny though. Then a girl came to my table and said "Hi are you new??" I told her, "Yes I was." She told me "Those boys over there are laughing at you because they thought it was weird that you where talking to yourself!!" I looked at the wall and then back at the table to the girl "I wasn't talking to myself though." She looked at me and then the table and then the wall and asked "Are you talking to the wall then?" I looked at her and Said "No are you crazy there are animals all over this place and its not my fault none of you can see them!!" She looked at me and said "Oh you can see the pictures that are like in the wall too, I thought I was going crazy but, I can see what u mean" I asked "How" and She showed me a cow and we got to be really nice friends. Her name is Mia and she asked if she could call me Maria and I told her she could. We now call each other M&M. Plus we are best friends!

After lunch, We had recess and I thought I would talk to Tesla and maybe talk to her for a little bit more since I couldn't at lunch but, when I found her she was back behind the school talking to some other kids in our class. I think there name's where Chloe and Chile. Chloe was a girl and Chile was a boy. What really hurt my feelings though was when I heard Chloe and Chile ask if me and Tesla had become BFF's, She looked at them and said "Oh Gosh No, Please Guys don't take me for the kind of person who would talk to a looser and someone who talks to herself on top of that!"

I didn't notice until later but the quite little boy was standing behind me, He looked up and said "I'm sorry there so mean, I wish I could help you and stand up for you but that's my cousin and she just moved here a week ago otherwise I would have talked to you at lunch and stuff but, its hard to make friends when your cousin causes problems for them." I looked at him and I didn't mean say it out load but I did say "That's the most I have ever heard you talk in all of today." He looked at me in a bashful shy kind of way and said "Yeah, I guess it is, but your not making fun of me now are you?" I looked at him and Said "Gosh No, I didn't think I said that out loud I guess I really do talk to myself." He laughed and I laughed and we talked almost half the afternoon, it was so much fun. I was happy that me and him got to be friends but then I realized I forgot to ask for his name!

And with that it was back to school work. After school all I had to do was write my alphabet as my homework. Then My mom and I went to the store. When we got home dad was back from work. We sat down and watched movies and ate food too.

Other than being bullied some at school by the other kids them laughing at me and making fun of me for being a little weird well. That was the end of my First day of Kindergarten.
