28 Chapter 28

As I lay on my bed, I think about how to get myself involved in the superhero world that is soon to emerge. I briefly think about becoming a hero before breaking out in laughter. I know I wouldn't enjoy saving random people nor am I willing to subject myself to such a miserable job.

Take Scion for example, he did hero work for decades before snapping and killing billions across multiple worlds. To be fair, he was kind of depressed and was going to do it anyway, but literally one conversation with some insane prick caused him to go over the edge.

So becoming a superhero is definitely out. I could become a mercenary, but I am too prideful to take commands even if I am technically being paid to follow orders. I contemplate the question for a while as I do my morning routine before heading towards the living room.

I am greeted by the sight of Hela and a familiar blonde sitting on the couch, playing COD modern warfare co-op on two different consoles. The familiar blonde is my lovely daughter, and I immediately go in to greet her with a quick hug to the side.

"Ah… What." She stammers out surprised. "Oh Hi Dad."

Her distraction caused her to get killed by Hela and I had to stop my smirk from forming. Being a dad is great, disrupting online games was something my parents too sadistically relished in and I finally got to do it to someone else.

"Fuck… nice going. I hope you're proud of yourself." She says and she glares in my direction.

"Sorry sweetie. On the bright side at least I am not telling you to pause the game."

"I am playing online. It can't be paused."

'Tell that to my previous parents and thousands of children around the world.' I thought.

"Just steal the time stone from professor Baldy. Can you believe she goes by the ancient one these days. I am almost double her age, so what does that make me?"

She giggles at me. "Don't pout, you're are too old for that Daddy and don't tease my teacher's baldness; she makes the look work."

"So why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be doing some princessly duties?"

"Aunt Hela has asked me to try and play these games and I fell in love. When I become queen of Alfheim I will make sure that this becomes popular."

"If you don't focus on our match Elsa, I will have to talk to your mother about you doing more diplomatic missions for Alfheim." Hela faux-threatens.

I smile watching my daughter pale. She is truly my child, we both loathe getting sent on shitty errants by our parents, luckily I am not the crown prince so I could just leave Asgard to avoid them, unfortunately my daughter isn't so lucky.

"You're bluffing. You can't blackmail me in front of my father. He has you whipped " She says smugly, only for a necrosword to shoot towards her. She quickly creates an ice barrier to block the barrier.

"No fighting in my house, love. This place isn't cheap." I chastised them both.

"Fine, but you have to join us."

I turned on a 3rd console and began playing with them. Let's just say when you have a perfect memory and almost a thousand hours in the game locked and primed as well as superhuman reflexes, you really can't be beat.

"Remind me why I asked you to join" Hela says with a sigh.

I just laugh at her. "So guys, I was wondering if I should get myself into this city's underworld. Should I just become a kingpin, a warlord or something else?"

"Isn't that bullying dad? I mean you would be the equivalent of a level 500 during the tutorial. That's a bit of overkill." Elsa says.

"You could take over the underworld. But since you don't know how to run a kingdom it won't be too easy." Hela says.

"What do you mean by I don't know how to run a kingdom? I literally have my own moving planet." I refute.

"There is literally no sapient people on that giant spaceship of yours except for your children and Aelsa who sometimes visits. So I doubt you actually practically learned how to rule"

"Fair point and don't ever call Perfectum a spaceship again. It's far better than the Asgard that you hunger for."

"I don't even know why you are asking me. I am sure you would try and take over the underworld anyways."

"Well I need henchman and you're my first choice."

I teleport out of the way of the necrosword that she shot my way. I glare at the woman and she adopts an innocuous expression.

"That was an accident."

I use telekinesis to move the couch that she is sitting on, letting her fall on her ass. "Oops, that was an accident, promise." I replied.

"You just told the former crown princess of Asgard to become your henchwoman. As expected of someone of my blood." My daughter says with a proud expression. Damn she's prideful, probably inherited that from her mother.

Hela glares at me as she stands up, before glaring at her niece. "What do you mean by the former? I am still the crown princess. My little brother can easily encounter an accident that would cause him to be unable to become king." My expression shifts to a deadpan as I stare at her.

"Threatening the brother of an extremely powerful mage as well as fighter right in front of him. Quite the metaphorical balls on you. As expected of someone related to me." Elsa says to Hela. My deadpan moved to my daughter and I had trouble keeping my lips or eyes from twitching.

"Alright I'm out, enjoy your day. The world won't take over itself." I say before giving a hug and kiss to my daughter's forehead and one on the lips to my consort.

I drive to my office, feeling the wind blow through my long hair. If I want to become a kingpin, I need a right hand man or woman. I can't be all mysterious if I show up personally at my illegal dealings, plus I don't want my identity to be ruined so quickly, it would take the fun out of all this.

I have a certain russian in mind who can do an okay job as my first henchman. It's not black widow, but I believe I can make do.
