1 Joseph

Imagine a pond. Not a big pond, not a small pond just a normal pond. This pond had fish, ecosystems thriving of each other ecosystems. The sky was but a bright blue. The breeze was calm and warm. By the shore was none other than Joseph himself. He is but a simple lad. He lives in a very simple world. He doesn't have the dreams of many of those who are similar in age. He seeks both happiness and peace. Joseph lives in a small two story house out in the middle of almost nowhere. He has a small Siberian cat and a big backyard. The one thing he values most of all in this world is her. He cooks, cleans and sings to her. She is an angel to him and he can't do much about that, what he can do, what he's always done is to keep her happy in all ways not just one. To give her all his attention. They had been dating for nearly two and a half years and she felt just as he felt that pretty soon marriage would happen. Joseph met her at university they both went to the same college. She a math major him a simple software engineer. He had impressed her with a simple bit of programming that spelled out her name three different ways on the computer. Even though she wasn't in the same field as him Joseph knew after some small dates throughout college that this women, this angel was the one for him. Now my friends Joseph isn't like you or me. He is very stoic he doesn't let much of any emotions show. The only time you will ever see Joseph have a mood shift or a change is when he is with her. Joseph in short is but a simple man, working for a simple IT company working and making median wage living not like a king but like a stable peasant in a two story house. With one cat as company when she isn't home. Joseph works from home but sometimes must leave his office to get documents from work. His girlfriend lives with him but she works as a college professor so at the end of the day he's the one making dinner and cleaning most of the time when she's not home. When she's home she wants to do the cooking and cleaning. This couple has a kind of competition with each other in the smallest of ways. Who can clean the most, do it right and most often. Who's cooking can taste the best with few ingredients. They both always clean after they cook. They both always remember to leave things clean when done cleaning. They both live video games. Which that in it of itself is rare. To find someone who likes gaming as well. Some nights you will find instead of a fancy dinner or an expensive movie these two will have a home cooked meal and co-op video games. Now Joseph has but one flaw he moreover does everything in his power to satisfy his girlfriend. It's two in the morning she wants ice cream from the store that's thirty minutes away. He's driving at two am to the store to get some ice cream and ice to keep the ice cream chilled so she can have it when he gets back. If they go out to dinner and the chef messed up her order he's calmly fixing it so that the evening goes perfectly. This is the type of simple yet loving person Joseph is.
