The Systems Challenge

In a world that is aware of other worlds and systems, a reality show was created to have participants receive a system and face challenges. All for the entertainment of the world's that cam view it. All participants have no idea about other worlds actually existing, let alone something like this going on. Elmo is a young man who had been shopping when he was chosen to take part in this challenge. Part of him is intrigued by the idea of the challenges, but most of him would rather just go home. If only that was an option. There will be no graphic descriptions of any mature content. When such material will appear, it will either be lime or just glossed over. Please let me know what you think of this. If it's terrible, I can work on improving it it, but only if I know what needs to be improved. Thank you for any such feedback. This is my first entry into a contest here. Please take a look and let me know what you think. I'll try to post every day with at least 1000 words, but I may not be able to live up to that promise with my schedule. However, I am working on trying to write around 1500 to 2000 words on each chapter. Though, I wish I could offer extra chapters for power stones and all that, but with my work schedule, I barely have enough time most days to keep up the writing schedule I have now.
