87 Akatsuki Part-2
{Amegakure}
{11:21 AM, 6th July 13 Yrs ANB}
{3rd Person POV}
The couple of minutes that Ren spent hovering over Amegakure was the most terrified he had ever been, the situation changed too suddenly for him to do anything about it. There were several reasons for that and although the threat to his life was purely psychological, for now, he hoped, he understood that that could change at any moment.
After a bit they arrived at a bland-looking building, it was right next to the tallest tower, and the contrast between the massive face screaming out of the tower and the bland-looking box created an enhanced pressure.
"Keep up!" Konan spoke, the disinterest in her voice was palpable and Ren breathed a sigh of relief when his support vest/death cage disintegrated.
He shared a look with Aoi who nodded at him, he looked pensive as both of them walked into the building. The hallways meshed together as they walked through a couple of floors before they arrived in front of a brown door.
Ren's anticipation was all for naught as inside the room was a simple futon, a table chair, and a drawer.
"Hand over your headband," Konan spoke.
Ren rummaged through his weapons pouch and gave his original headband to Konan. It took some effort to hide his reluctance as he saw Konan eye the leaf symbol on the headband for a moment. For the first time, he saw a spark of emotion on her face as her stoic face twitched a little bit.
'Great, just my luck that she hates Konoha...' Ren thought.
"When did you desert Konoha?" Konan asked.
"A week ago," Ren replied.
"Why did you desert Konoha?" Konan asked.
Ren bit his lip as he hesitated, Konan lifted her finger and instantly a wall of explosive tag surrounded him. He could sense that they were all charged with chakra.
"Why did you desert Konoha?" Konan asked again.
"Because I killed the son of Kazekage during the chunin exam," Ren spoke reluctantly.
The wall went down a little as Konan looked at him with an impassive gaze.
"Why did you desert Konoha?" The question remained the same, she wasn't impressed with his answer.
"I killed Gaara, he's the son of the current Kazekage, Rasa. It was during the second portion of the chunin exam. He was a little unhinged as he kept coming at me, I had to kill him in self-defense..." Ren hesitated as he looked into Konan's eyes.
"Sensei told me that this could lead to a war, and in order to stop it Konoha won't hesitate to use me in exchange. So I ran..." Ren replied, he heaved a heavy sigh like a burden was lifted from him. Acting wasn't his strong suit but since his natural personality was stoic, he could pull off showing basic emotions.
Aoi looked at Ren with a surprised expression, he hadn't realized the reason for the warnings and red alerts that were going on everywhere was traveling with him. For a moment he panicked but then he realized that this wasn't related to him anyway.
Konan looked at him with an indifferent gaze, she didn't know what plans Zetsu and Tobi had for the kid. She normally wouldn't have taken part in an interrogation/interview like this, but she had to see that they were not planning on bringing a mole into Ame.
Until now everything Ren had spoken was true according to the info Zetsu could gather. Ren's entry was already submitted by Konoha to be printed into the next edition of the Bingo book.
"Why did you kill Konoha shinobi when you left the village?" Konan asked. It was easy for Ren to make a puzzled expression as he asked, "I didn't kill anyone."

Konan pulled out an entry page from her pocket and showed it to Ren. She made sure to look carefully as his expression contracted into anger briefly before he suppressed it.
"I didn't kill anyone, Sensei gave me an escape route. I just followed it..." Ren replied through gritted teeth, his eyes however quickly memorized the amount of information that was depicted on the small piece of paper.

Except for the crimes his whole fighting strength was summed up into a couple of lines. He was expecting most of his strength to be leaked but he wasn't expecting it to be so thorough.
'Then again if Konoha wants to say to Suna that I am a missing nin. They do need to list these things. The only trump card that I have left is my medical ninjutsu, fuinjutsu, and my modified body flicker.' Ren thought.
"I didn't kill anyone and I stole nothing. The sword was rightfully mine when I helped kill Zabuza." Ren countered, letting some information slip would make them believe his words more.
Zetsu's eyes widened as he recognized the name, as they had one of the seven Kiri swordsmen in Akatsuki, he of course knew who the rest of their members were. While none of their other members were as monstrously strong as Kisame, they were still strong high-Jonin to Jonin level.
"So you have Kubikiribōchō?" Zetsu asked.
"Yes," Ren put up a guarded stance as his feet shifted a little.
"We don't want your sword," Konan replied as she looked at Ren's stance. She took back the bingo book entry and flicked her finger. The sheets of paper flew back into her sleeves.
"This will be your room for the next 3 months, you will be prohibited from leaving the village. Keep in mind that your every action is being monitored." Konan spoke then she disintegrated into a piece of paper as her presence vanished from his senses.
'A modified Body Flicker.' Ren thought as he turned to look at the 2 faced man but he was already halfway to sinking into the floor. The weird powers of the two of them aside, the situation he was facing wasn't too bad. He just had to be very careful with what he intended to do.
In just a couple of moments, Ren and Aoi were the only two standing in the room. Aoi breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at Ren, he didn't know what to think but for the moment he decided not to have disagreements, with the combat power along with medical ninjutsu. Ren would become a valuable member of Amegaukre.
"Don't worry about it for now, the house arrest will go by quickly don't worry, it is a standard procedure. Just keep your head down and practice chakra control or something..." Aoi spoke as he walked to the door.
~Bang~
The door slammed shut and Ren found himself deep into unknown territory, his curiosity and overconfidence had gotten the best of him. A notification popped out unexpectedly startling him.
