Aiden sprang into action as he knew that playing defense wouldn't take him far. He had touched the shoulder's figure earlier and had dropped a bit of his shadow on him at that moment.
But this time, the figure was actually fighting, Aiden decided to test it again. But instead of making the shadows close around the person's neck, Aiden changed into a lasso.
'For a second there, I thought that it wouldn't work.' Aiden thought in relief as his shadows turned into a lasso and tightened around the figure's neck as it stopped moving.
But it looked as though it could still fight. The earth around it rose in small spikes and immediately shot out towards Aiden as Will's words rang out in his head.
"During a battle, there might be times that the enemy might take you by surprise and when that time comes, you might not have the time to teleport using your shadows, unless you are at a really high level. At that moment, let your instincts take over and dodge."
And Aiden did that as he rolled to the right and dodged a spike coming in his direction.
He then did the same thing when another spike flew towards his way. But all of a sudden, seven spikes flew towards him from all directions.
But this time, he used his shadows to dodge them. The moment they were a few feet away from him, Aiden jumped in the air, and using the shadow on his body, he created small spikes.
He then threw them beyond the incoming spikes and immediately teleported with them.
But the real reason he had used multiple needles was simple. He was planning to finish his opponent too. Jumping from one needle to another, Aiden appeared directly above the earth figure.
'Since I don't want to break my foot, I will just use elemental energy attack.' Aiden thought as he summoned his shadow under his shoes.
He stepped on top of the earth figure as he turned the shadow into a brick. He then increased its weight to the maximum of his ability.
"Guess I overdid it," Aiden muttered as he was now standing on the ground.
As for the figure, it had been buried under the ground because of the weight of the brick. And other than that, it had soon broken down into tiny pieces,
But as Aiden was thinking of summoning a few more earth figures, he suddenly got new system notifications.
Ding!
[ The shadow's god's blessings are now in effect. ]
'They weren't in effect before?!' Aiden asked back as he felt scammed. The system's presenter had lied to him about the blessings being in effect.
[ The blessings took time to reach you since the shadow god had to do it under the eyes of the gods watching you. He was banned from having followers, much less a disciple, by the primordial gods. ]
'And he just forgot to mention that.' Aiden thought with a facepalm. 'Just show me what I know have gotten system.'
Ding!

'Doesn't being a prince technically make me an heir or was I a prince of some other family?' Aiden thought as he then registered what having his job class upgraded meant.
He could now learn the One with the Shadow skill.

'Uh yeah.'
Instead of telling him what the message was, the system directly showed it to him.

"You have a unique job class. So of course it will be like this. Now shut up and see the rest of the rewards." ]
'This guy… System, just show me the rest of the rewards.'

For a few seconds, Aiden stood completely still. He could feel the flow of power increasing within himself. But unlike the power he got from the system stats and passive skills, it felt different. ]

Aiden didn't know why but he believed the words of the shadow god. Maybe it was just because he was trusted the god's words or perhaps he was just being naïve.
But one thing Aiden knew was that his actions would have consequences.

A wave of power suddenly went throughout Aiden's body. If someone had seen him in this state, he would look like a completely new person to them.

Aiden chuckled as he read the last line. The god of shadows didn't need to warn him about staying clear of girls. After all, he wasn't interested in girls.
And just to make things clear to a few people, he wasn't interested in guys either. The thoughts some people might have just because of his earlier statement was one that made him sigh.
'People judge too quickly. Though, I wonder whether I would be able to say the same thing about girls when puberty hits.'
Aiden remembered his time on earth which was spent at various places. He didn't have a girlfriend so no one could blame him for watching certain things.
After all, Aiden could very well guess that most people were currently doing that or would sooner or later do it.
But who was he to judge them? Instead, he would just give them the advice to use incognito.
'I still have some time left till the system gets back. Till then, I should try to get all of my shadow skills back.' Aiden thought at last.
And with the sun setting down, he started practicing.
