33 Times in the Elfish Kingdom

Draig stared at the group the Queen had brought in and gave them a once over with his Appraisal, and was shocked to see classes he had never heard of before. It was interesting to see the appearance of something so unique forming so quickly after the change, Draig looked impressed at the information being shown.

The Queen noticed Draig's slip in demeanor and nodded as it seemed he really did know something, she motioned the group closer for Draig to look at.

"What do you know of their gifts" asked the Queen looking down at Draig while mentally breaking the haze over her Daughter's mind.

Draig felt the connection break and realized he was in a much tighter position than before, he figured he could give a bit of insight but not without a little reward for his deed.

"I will be able to tell you after getting a sample of the subjects" answered Draig pulling out his mosquitoes causing the guards to raise their weapons in warning.

"They are just tools for my style of medicine" stated Draig quickly.

"A Doctor, interesting. I never would have assumed a Dark Being would learn the arts of healing" mused the Queen while motioning for the guards to lower their weapons.

Draig taking that as a sign to continue brought the Mosquitoes to life and commanded them to take a blood sample before depositing them into his tome regardless of the witnesses.

"Call a scribe as my technique won't last for long" called Draig acting as if he was concentrating intensely while spewing his magic out of his body at a constant rate.

"Quickly do as he says" commanded the Queen having someone rushed in immediately who began copying the contents of what the Tome had to say about the classes that had appeared within the Elves.

However they indeed got more than they bargained for even if they had the ability to use Appraisal they wouldn't have been able to seen all the possible skills that will come naturally with the classes but thanks to this one concession given by Draig's greed they had benefited immensely knowing where to train their people in order to get the greatest potential.

Draig collapsed to his knees and breathed heavily as if exhausted, showing a feebleness that in fact caused those in the room to lower their guard.

"Escort our guest to the dining room, we still have much to discuss and it would be rude to continue our talks in such a formal manner" instructed the Queen seeing that the person in question was feeble and barely a threat.

Draig mentally chuckled as his act worked, he disdained having to play this kind of act but after his encounter with the Golden Emblem guilders he realized that there were certain parties he wasn't capable of fighting at the moment. He could tell that this Queen was one of them along with a few of the Guards in the room, he definitely couldn't act as freely as he had in the City.

Being sat down at the dining table Draig looked at the Queen not to his left at the head of the table and the Princess across from him, the royal servants had yet to bring out the meal and they sat in awkward silence for a moment.

"How do you feel now mister traveler" asked the Queen in the same commanding style as before.

"Tired" lied Draig

"Obviously that technique takes a great toll on you, so why do you use it" asked the Queen eyeing Draig.

"I simply like to know things, I want to write a book. Well more like an Encyclopedia" continued Draig

"Is that Book necessary for the technique" asked Queen directly eyeing the book at Draig's waist.

"It is merely a byproduct of the talent itself" answered Draig understanding where her intentions were heading immediately.

"Can you teach this skill" asked the Queen returning her gaze to Draig.

"It is a birth Talent that I have, I am afraid I can't teach it" answered Draig

The Queen sat for a moment as the Servants brought the food in, comprising of beasts hunted from the surrounding forest and the special herbs and fruits prepared into salads and other green dishes.

"Bring our guest some wine" ordered the Queen with a smile.

"I never asked your name before" directed the Queen looking towards Draig with a much more endearing light.

"Draig" answered the young Feratu.

"Tell me Draig where does one such as yourself come from, I can't imagine there are too many Tribes in the Nether Continent that would claim such a pacifistic being" asked the Queen as she began to eat.

"I'm an orphan, grew up weaker than the rest as an outcast eventually I ditched that and began exploring eventually finding my talent" lied Draig giving as little information as possible.

"Oh that would explain quite a bit, usually someone like you would have died at their hands like some kind of animal" stated the Queen as she raised her glass for the servants to fill.

Draig didn't say anything in response as he took a bite of some the game laid before him.

"It's also quite dangerous traveling around the Forest alone, you never know what kind of ancient terrors still roam around here. Even we, the Elfish tribes who can never come to terms with one another can find common ground on the dangers of exploring the forest. Thus even us who dwell hear have not mapped out nearly any of the forest in its entirety" started the Queen.

"Indeed but it is better than what my chances were originally" stated Draig continuing his lie.

"What if it your situation could improve" asked the Queen with a smile.

"How so" asked Draig faking his interest.

"Oh it is quite the easy task to arrange you to have anything you need for a comfy carefree life, however I am certain that more of these gifted Elves will appear among us. It would be a great help if you could help us discern these gifts and perhaps even offer guidance if you can." offered the Queen.

"So you are saying I would have access to anything I wanted in exchange for me just offering a few pointers and allowing you to record any new classes that appear among your people" asked Draig as if contemplating.

"Indeed anything, I will ensure that no harm will ever come to you while you are her as an honored guest. What do you think, a mutually beneficial arrangement" asked the Queen.

Draig thought it over, he was content to continue his journey however he was certain if he attempted to reject the offer the Queen may lock him away or worse. On the flip side however if he could get the Queen to sign a contract baring these words now then he would be once again gaining immensely.

No one had much knowledge on the skills and techniques of the Elves, the way the channeled their Energy into their attacks was astounding and left the physics hard to understood as it was just fundamentally different than that of humans or other races for that matter. Thinking along these lines Draig agreed under the condition of a contract as proof to which the Queen agreed.

"I am happy to have you hear Draig, I hope that we can get along splendidly" smiled the Queen with a pleased look.

"Of course, I thank you for being a generous host" smiled Draig faking his agreement.

"I hope this proves to be a profitable partnership" chuckled Draig.
