29 Rebuilding

Guilder cities everywhere were busy beyond their means as they attempted to rebuild after the earth shaking changes that had taken place days before, this also marked the end of many Guilds. Those Guilders who had formerly been apart of these Guilds had moved on to different places causing those walled Guilder cities to become a thing of the past. Everywhere there had been a Guild this was happening sometimes in large groups containing civilians, this also marked the expansion of Humanity as they traveled to different lands to settle a new life for themselves.

In the former Guilder City Draig had resided in Zarra was receiving constant reports as their efforts to rebuild were going around the clock.

"Lord Zarra, I have some disappointing news. There seems to be no sign of any salvageable items in the shops rubble, in fact there wasn't anything to be found at all. Even some of the smaller Guilds were struck with similar circumstances, this has lead to the dissolving of numerous Guilds around the city." reported a meek looking man.

"What of those users" asked Zarra

"That is the disappointing news, these Users along with some of the civilian populace have begun leaving in caravans collecting large amounts of already sparse supplies. If things continue like this we won't be able to become a safe haven city for humanity again" grieved the man.

"Maybe it's for the best this way, times always need to change in order for there to be progress" stated Zarra just as another person barged into the room carrying numerous reports.

"Lord, I have urgent news" said the person quickly.

"What is it" asked Zarra preparing to assist at the first sign of trouble.

"New Users are appearing among some of the common populace" reported the person causing Zarra to widen his eyes.

"Do you mean rogues" asked Zarra clearly ready to act if so.

"No Lord, I mean the common populace is developing User abilities" elaborated the person.

Zarra was shocked by that revelation, and sent the two away while ordering them to call a meeting. Though he wasn't the only one as similar news was being reported in other Cities, this was yet another sign of the world changing.

If they had thought they were the only one's developing User abilities they were wrong as a particular Vampire made an interesting encounter just after beginning his adventure.

It was a goblin, though it was clear it was different from the normal description. The first sign of something being off about the creature was its slightly bulkier frame, then it was the way it had attacked that revealed what was happening.

"A mere level one swordsman class" stated Draig in disgust.

"I have no need for cheap imitations who offend me" continued Draig as he slashed his hand decapitating the stupid creature.

Draig had done a few things since beginning his journey, one of those things being scrolling through his Tome and finding a few auxiliary skills. The one in particular that had revealed what was different about the goblin was the skill Appraisal which had experienced a boost because of the natural abilities in the eyes of a Vampire.

Elsewhere others were experiencing this occurrence as well, as time went on reports of these creatures would only increase until it was just accepted as the new circumstances of the world.

Zarra clueless about the situation, hell the world which he had previously known nearly everything about was now changed beyond any prerecorded books description. Guilder Cities were no more, he was alright with that as the spread of Users would allow for a better general protection of humanity but there was no way to monitor who would get a class now.

It could be anyone, serial killers, rapists, it didn't matter as long as the Class system handed out classes without any morale standard.

The Dark mage sighed after a long moment before walking outside and staring at the sky, all around the make shift headquarters you could see the signs of construction. This view caused the Dark mage to grimace and his thoughts began to darken but then he heard the sound of laughter causing him to turn his head.

There he could see the source to be a group of children playing amidst the destruction, the Dark mage recovered and looked towards the bright sun.

'Indeed, no matter how dark the times may seem there will always be hope in a brighter tomorrow' thought the Dark mage returning to his makeshift office.

Indeed the world had changed whether or not for the best time would tell.
