15 Enacting the Plan

Feng didn't know how much time passed but based on his body clock, since he slept more than ten times now, it is quite safe to assume that ten days might've already passed by now.

Within these days, he had learned a lot. But before that, he is now at the Third Stage of Body Refinement as Lin went to the sixth stage. Lin's next breakthrough would give Feng 80% of progress since they have three stages as a gap.

As for what he learned, he heard about the bandits being called the Fanged Tornado House. Ignoring the question of why every name he encounters has a relation to wind, Feng then saw how different people of different origins came here to buy children.

He didn't know if it's fortunate of him or not that he had yet to be bought. He is just from a small village, meanwhile, others were much prominent than him. What annoys him is that looks are one factor for being bought and the customers didn't even spare a glance at him.

'At least, my Rumia loves me for how I look.'

[Yes, yes... just shut up.] Rumia was already desensitized by Feng's lies.

This proves that the bandits have high standing and have a service for corrupted nobles all over the Humming Wind Province. They were not just hooligans. They can be likened to a mafia back on Earth.

Then for every three days, their guards would put incense sticks in the middle of the tent that gives out a type of qi that when absorbed, replenishes their energy, quenching their hunger and thirst.

This was extremely helpful and convenient since no one had the need to excrete. So they were locked in those cages for their sanity to wane. Perfect for their future owners who will buy and "train" them.

So Feng was sure that he wouldn't die if he were to make a mess since he is part of the "goods" At worst, he will be stabbed and be brought to an infirmary to be healed. This worst is what he hoped for.

The next day, Feng reached the fourth stage, signifying that Lin is now at the seventh stage!

'I wonder what's the reaction of those people at the My Wind something Academy.'

While Lin was working on his missions, Feng was not slacking off either. In these past days, he was still cracking the manual and succeeded, unlocking another of its use-

The Universal Shop!

Feng was happy about this because when he and Rumia browsed through it, Rumia couldn't contain her shock and could only react-

[Everything is in here! From mortal necessities to Godly Grade Cultivation Techniques!]

Feng chose to trust Rumia, a Solar Spirit Cultivator. Even there weren't any of these "godly items" in the shop, he was still happy about it since he couldn't these godly items anyway.

To buy something from this Universal Shop, he would need mission points. How to get these mission points? One only needs to use one brain cell to find the answer.

Lin already garnered 11 mp, which is short for mission points according to Feng. The mp distribution per mission is fixed per cultivation level.

There are three phases in each realm; early, middle, and late phases. These are the first to third stages, fourth to sixth stages, and seventh to ninth stages respectively.

In the early phase of the Body Refinement Realm, Lin got 0.5 mp per mission completed. In the middle phase, 1 mp. And in the late phase, 2 mps.

Since Lin is at the seventh stage now, he just stepped into the late phase and earns 2 mps per mission completed. He should have 10.5 mp but to the manual's leniency, it was rounded off.

Feng saw what Lin could buy and saw normal weapons, clothing, food, and low-grade pills, and other cultivation necessities. As for him, he got ten percent and received a whopping 1.1 mp!

But to the manual's leniency, it was rounded off to 1mp!

Feng was finding a way how to kneel in gratitude the opposite way.

'Wow, look at this, I can buy ten normal herbs for a price of 1mp. What are those?'

[Grass]

Rumia replied before laughing out loud. But Feng was undisturbed.

'Wow, now I have a choice if I want to be a cultivator or a cow. This just keeps getting better and better.'

Rumia's laughter became louder that Feng had to tone her volume down.

Getting back to the serious topic, Feng readied himself to look more into the camp of the Fanged Tornado House. For this, he needs to become a bratty brat.

It was the middle of the day and the silence helps the children lose their sanity faster. That was when-

"Ah! I hate this! Let me out!" Feng pushed his "cagemates" out of the way to reach the iron bars.

"Momm! Daddy!" he cried as snots and tears smearing on his face.

The skinny guard sighed and came to him.

"Didn't I say that whoever makes a noise gets the blade?"

"Eh..." Feng stopped as if he was scared only to continue, "But mister, I hate here! I don't know where mommy and da-"

Shick*

The blade entered the side of his stomach as he planned.

But goddam, it hurts more than he expected. The pained expression on his face was not an act.

"Ack!" he groaned when the skinny man pulled the blade, making the blood pour out.

"Anyone who tries to escape gets double stabby, okay?" the skinny man "gently" said. It is evident that both his sympathy and empathy were now gone.

He opened the cage and took Feng. The children there were no longer restrained by the rope that temporarily removes their cultivation. They were controlled through fear. This includes Feng who was now at the Fourth Stage of Body Refinement Realm.

Of course, he didn't fight back. Although only at starting from the seventh stage does the body becomes sturdier, this skinny man still easily pierced through his stomach as if he was tofu. Meaning, this nerdy-looking dude must be at least at the late phase of Body Refinement Realm or he is just that good at his sword stabbing techniques, considering that's all he has been doing until now.

'Ah... this hurts so much, I want to kill this guy...' Feng thought. Although it was not the first time he had so much pain, so what? He still does not enjoy it.

"Hey, Chongan, another noisy kid."

"Throw 'em," Chongan, one of the men stationed outside said which the skinny man did.

Feng was easily thrown and caught while he was curling in pain.

'Am I a ball? If I am, that's a nice pass, dipshits.'

[You... still have the mood to joke? Don't blame me if I laugh while you're at that state.]

'Jokes are for these kinds of moments. To lighten up the situation. The darker the joke the better... maybe. Ugh, why am I explaining this, it hurts!'

But even when he was getting tortured by the deep wound, Feng looked around to see that there were bandits everywhere, which is natural. If he saw cows instead, he would be shocked.

That's not what he wanted to see. He looked around more, as if desperate. If not for the fact that he looked like a sack by how Chongan carried him, he must've intimidated other bandits by his glare and desperate look.

'Tents, tents, bandits, bandits...' Feng looked around only seeing those things but his eyes widened when he saw one big man pulling a woman by her hair. Her naked body that was bruised black and blue and had a lot of signs of injuries were being dragged onto the muddy ground.

She was alive but the look on her face made it seem like it was the opposite.

Feng almost forgot the pain in his stomach.

'Damnit! I'm going to die if I acted!' he gritted his teeth. But then, he remembered a certain woman and his heart clenched, almost making him cough out blood.

'Mom! It's been eleven days already! What happened to her!?' his head became dizzy, imagining that the woman he saw earlier was like what happened to his mother.

Thinking about this, deep-burning rage almost swallowed Feng from within.

'Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck! I'm going to burn everything here! I'm going to burn them all!'

He got so angry as hatred consumed his mind that he was knocked unconscious. Feng fought the desire to attack this man and find his mother, Fei right now. However, that would only lead to his death. If he died, what can he accomplish? How can he have any chance of saving his parents?

Thus, he fought his instinctual urges to act, knocking him unconscious...

Unknown time passed and he opened his eyes.

"Finally awake." a heavy man's voice entered his ears as his senses came back to him. When it did though, the pain from his stomach came back.

"Ack!" he groaned again but after a while, he calmed down as the pain was lesser than earlier. He saw his stomach was bandaged when he pulled his dirty shirt up. The wound on his thigh was finally healed but now a new bandage was wrapped around him.

"Oops, don't move." a fat but somewhat muscular man stopped him. The heavy voice came from him.

Feng looked at this man and noticed that he was wearing a black cassock that didn't fit his intimidating look at all.

"Who are you?"
