CHAPTER 1:

In a moderate looking building on the Yellow street,a district for middle class people in New York City, a girl who looked about 8 years old but infact is 10 years old is mopping the playground of the orphanage she lived at when the Dean of the orphanage comes shouting "You bastard! You still haven't finished mopping the playground. It's almost time for breakfast. Who is gonna make it. Hurry up. I didn't keep you here to laze around. You better speed up before I throw you out of here." while twisting her arms and roughly pushing her on the ground.

Still she doesn't say anything and continue what she was doing but this time hastily as she doesn't want to get beaten up again.

She has been in this orphanage as far as she could remember. There are a total of ten children in this orphanage including Dean lily's daughter Sara. Anna didn't have this abusive life from the very beginning. When Dean lily's husband Martin was still alive, he used to be the Dean of this orphanage and treated everyone nicely but after he passed away three years ago Dean lily has been mistreating everyone in the orphanage and spending all the donations for the orphanage on her daughter Sara and herself.

Sara just like her mother is a very self-centered girl who look down on poor and curry favor from the rich. She especially hate the girls who are more pretty and beautiful than her which is why the poor Anna is the most mistreated and abused child in the orphanage.

Anna have beautiful emerald green eyes with golden brown hair, big pouty lips, a pointed nose with big red cheeks which are now pale because of malnutrition.

Many rich families wanted to adopt Anna but Sara never let that happen as she didn't want Anna to live a better life than hers. Dean lily being a mother who fulfil her daughter's every wish told her husband she couldn't bear to give Anna to anyone. Her husband remembering how she used take care and love Anna agreed making Anna life now worst than a dog.
