53 [Trouble in Paradise! Part -1]
'Looks like they didn't know that...'
Kurenai-sensei and Asuma-sensei shared a look before Asuma-sensei used Shunshin to the outside of the kage box… he passed the security checkpoint to talk to Hokage-sama. I turn to Kurenai-sensei and ask, "So apparently you guys didn't know that?"
She shook her head and said, "No, we were informed of his murderous tendencies but nothing else..." I gave her a look and then turned towards Yugao-nee…
"We need to get you out of here in case something happens… and..." Before she could protest, I turn to Kurenai-sensei and she nodded.
'I can't take mom and dad away or I'll alert everyone… I'll just straight up rush to them as soon as something starts...'
I watch her guide Yugao-nee away and then turn my attention back to the fight…
'Naruto is able to control that chakra though… So, everything is finally in place… the reason Naruto is pushed aside by the whole village is because of the Nine tails… It is rather dangerous to be by his side but… I dunno...'
I felt Taichou appear beside me, "We need you to disable Gaara!"
'...say what now!'
"You mean like, kill him!"
"If nothing else works… he was flagged as a potential danger because of the way he controls his sand, but knowing he's the Ichibi Jinchuriki is an entirely different matter… we can't kill him or capture him as the exam has started and there are a lot of potential clients present, so either disable him or kill him, we can't afford for him to release Ichibi in the middle of the village with so many important visitors and civilians close by..."
"Got it!" He vanished and I could sense a lot of movement happening as the ANBU took contingency plans into effect…
'The Sand definitely doesn't have any good intentions by bringing their Jinchuriki to another village...Huh, Neji won in the end… I didn't think Naruto would lose even after… wait there are two Naruto's...'
Naruto came out of the ground and blasts Neji into the air with an uppercut to his chin…
'And that's match… That's one outcome I didn't expect… this day is going crazier by the second...'
I see Naruto running around the arena like crazy upon hearing the applause… 'that's genuine happiness at being recognized...blond hair...blue eyes...chosen by the Yondaime...'
I sit down in the empty seat that Yugao-nee just vacated…
'...'
My mind was blank for a second as I concentrated on Naruto's facial structure…
'Well, I could be wrong but… that's potentially another secret that a genin has no place knowing...'
"Uchiha Sasuke and Aburame Shino, Come down..."
The situation in the arena became a little loud as everyone sat in anticipation of Sasuke's match… 'Well, I thought he only had fangirls, but it seems like I underestimate the power behind the Uchiha name… to gather so many people just to catch a glimpse the last of the once-mighty Uchiha clan... Chinoike clan's descendants will probably be happy at their state... Ironically they almost shared the same fate, killed by someone from the same clan...'
Shino and Sasuke stood in the arena as Genma asked them if are they ready to fight…
"Begin!!"
'...Shino's fast... he swaps himself with a bug clone right of the bat...'
Sasuke was the first to act as he rushed at Shino, 'Hmm there's a definite increase in speed… what...' Sasuke at the last moment sent bursts of chakra to his legs and rapidly changes direction to hit Shino from behind with a straight rotating punch…
'That's Lee's...'
The clone burst and chakra sucking bugs stuck to Sasuke as he flinched back and looked around to identify Shino…
'Nice one Shino… just stay hidden and let your bugs do the thing...'
Sasuke seemed to have realized that the bugs were more than a hindrance as his chakra levels were rapidly being consumed, he went through a couple of hand seals…
'Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique'
He submerged himself into the ground and the bugs were crushed because of the pressure of the Earth, he then started searching for Shino's presence above the ground...
'That's a creative use of that technique… right he's Kakashi-san's student… the man who knows a thousand jutsus...'
Sasuke emerged after a minute of fruitless waiting and this time instead of being cocky he sends a steady stream of chakra into his eyes…
'Sharingan'
The fight continued as Sasuke and Shino engaged in a taijutsu battle for a bit but Shino's bugs kept interrupting Sasuke's charge by cramming his eyes and brain with a lot of information by flying around, and Shino barely handling Sasuke's speed…
'Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu'
Apparently getting fed up with the bugs Sasuke fired the jutsu straight at the bugs and I could feel Shino's anger as a lot of the bugs died… Sasuke also realized his opponent's weak point as he started again to gather chakra and prepared to fire another jutsu…
"I forfeit!" Shino shouted and indicated Sasuke to cancel the jutsu…
'Yeah, that would be the result… Shino's bugs are a part of his family...'
The anti-climatic end to the fight made everyone restless but at least they got to see some flashy Jutsu's…
I felt Taichou get beside me once again as Genma-san called Shikamaru and Temari for the next fight…
"Are you ready!"
"Yes, Taichou!"
"Can you disable him without getting him unconscious… according to the intel if he, the host of the Ichibi, loses consciousness then the Ichibi takes over..."
'Damn that takes out half of my contingency plans...'
"I could do to him what I did to the rat… he will be paralyzed and won't be able to feel anything so he won't fall unconscious..."
"Sounds good… if the other side attacks when you disable Gaara, there is an ANBU team waiting to escort both you and him to safety..."
"Okay!"
"Get ready your match is close…"
'Huh close but this one seems like it will be a long match, Temari certainly… Shika that was some strategy...'
Shikamaru walked up to Temari as they both raised their hands…
'He's gonna forfeit...heh told ya, there is no way he would want to fight me plus he already showed everything he could...'
While everyone else was reeling from the decision and Naruto jumped from the waiting room to yell at him Genma-san said, "Cleat out you lot, Tobi Shou and Gaara of the Sand, come down..."
'Judgement time...'
