Genjutsu are divided into 5 categories based on how they are activated, they are sound-based, sight-based, touch-based, smell-based, and taste-based. To activate a genjutsu you need to catch the opponent's attention for a split second so that your chakra can invade your opponent's coils...any questions?"
"Ummm… could we use taijutsu to activate a genjutsu if we can activate it by touch..."
"Good question Tobi-kun, No normally you can not use this technique while using taijutsu, because normally when you are fighting someone with taijutsu both you and your opponents are circulating chakra to your legs and thigh muscles to increase your speed or to your hands to hit harder...so if you try to slip in a little genjutsu while both your and his chakras are in a turmoil it will break the genjutsu...and to cast a bigger genjutsu you need more preparation and mental concentration which just isn't feasible in an equal level fight...you could, however, practice it against an opponent who is weaker than you, but it will take lot's of practice to seemingly merge taijutsu and genjutsu...any doubts"
I shook my head no and Kurenai-Sensei continued to go on about the best way to mold your chakra in preparation of genjutsu and how to attack opponent chakra coils…
'Look at the speed at which my genjutsu comprehension is increasing...will my medical knowledge increase at a similar rate if Yuki-san teaches me??'
'...hmm wonder if I could integrate genjutsu with my taijutsu...nah, I'll stick with learning chakra scalpels and integrating that into my style. Once I can fully master Iron dust control I think I can integrate that into my fighting style as well...'
After the genjutsu lesson, all of us sat together beneath a tree and were having lunch, everyone quipped up with something now and then so the conversation was flowing quickly. We discussed about our hobbies, where we envision ourselves in three years, and our dreams for the future.
'Weirdly enough according to everyone my answers were the most unexpected according to everyone...well sue me so I don't have any hobby...I guess I grew up a little different than everyone else chasing around for fleeting amounts of EXP, doing ridiculous tasks, and murdering cute little animals just for that notification of Level UP...In three years I hope to have a certain katana in my hands after I whop my sensei's ass...hehe...Kurenai-sensei didn't like that one but I guess everyone in the team has some psychological burdens...'
'Kurenai-Sensei is a worrywart, she is trying to handle us with a lot of care that I guess most Jounin's won't do...'
'Hinata...yeah let's not open that can of worms, even if I do like her sweet shy nature, her repressed personality is probably because of bad home conditions...'
'Shino, well he is probably the sanest out of us in his own weird perspective...I mean Shino's great in a stay two feet away from me but I trust you kind of way...He is also self-conscious about being ignored and being left out of the group so his weird in-between quips scared the heck out of me...'
'And the last one is me...Tobi...yeah I mean you already know it don't you Zoey? I guess you can say I am power hungry because almost every action I do is to increase my skill proficiency or to gain EXP...'
"Tobi-kun you are getting depressed again..." Kurenai-Sensei interrupted my tirade of thoughts as I look at her concerned expression.
"I am okay, Kurenai-Sensei...hey do you by any chance know where Hayate-Sensei lives?"
"...Yeah, his house is in the Jounin-district apartment 245"
"Thanks, Kurenai-Sensei"
"Okay, you can go meet him later because for now, we need to go take up our first mission as a team...Let's go"
I dusted my ass as I stood up and we walked towards the exit…
'Man! I so could have come up with some one-liner if my team didn't have Miss. Shy Queen and Mr. Quite Guy over here...nevermind I quite like my team...'

------------Hokage-Sama's Office, 1 P.M------------
The Hokage's Office was a circular room with large windows framing 3/4th of its periphery. The windows provided a view of almost all of Konohagakure as it was the biggest building in the Hidden Leaf… The room contained a simple desk with the symbol of Konoha on the front of it and stacks of papers and scrolls on top of it. Behind the table was a simple chair on which sat, Hiruzen Sarutobi, the Third Hokage…
'Man he looks so old and the only thing my Inspect returns is a bunch of question marks...Hey Zoey, what would be Hokage-sama's Level?'

'Isn't that like a lot?'

"Team 8! Reporting for duty! Hokage-Sama!!" Kurenai-sensei did a quick bow and the rest of us awkwardly followed half a second later… Hokage-sama puffed out a cloud of smoke and chuckled at us as he replied, "at ease team 8!"
'Okay...Zoey tells me I'm not paranoid and he definitely didn't look at me a second longer...'

"So this is the new team 8...What mission would you prefer Kurenai?"
"A D-ranked close to the village Hokage-sama..."
Hokage-sama rummaged through the pile of scrolls labeled D and finally threw a scroll towards Kurenai-Sensei...as Kurenai-Sensei opened the scroll a notification popped up in front of me…

'...Zoey why is there a failure condition?'

Well as you became a genin, you begin to matter in consideration to the world so your actions will have consequences, sometimes to you like dropping a level, and sometimes a little like umm...Flattening of the Hidden Leaf Village...]
