After the morning run, I went back to my training spot, and instead of doing exercises, I trained in my various skills. The rate of increase in proficiency was a 0.1% increase for every time I went through a kata, or for physical skills, or rather for muscle memory-related skills. Whereas the increase in proficiency was 1% for every time a jutsu was successfully used, or for every 10 seconds of successfully activating a chakra skill.
'Alright the grind of an RPG game is coming to light here, but technically, being a ninja is a grind too… At least I get some free perks and can get some Kekkie Genkai from the system for all the hard work.'
I repeatedly trained all my skills for about two hours before I went home, a quick shower and some breakfast later, I went towards the academy while dad went towards his work at some merchants shop.
'Okay, so I need more time to train...Zoey is there anything that can help me train longer...'

'Okay, anything that can help me learn faster?'
[No]
*grrrr*
'Anything that can help me level up quickly?'
[Quests]
'Okay!! How do I get quests!!'

I walked into the academy in a huff and sat down in my seat with my arms crossed. I look outside, but all I could see was a short kid sitting sulkily beside the window with a pout on his face. I relaxed my expression and take a close look at my appearance.
'Maybe I need a hair-cut as my bangs are hindering my peripheral vision.' I look at myself, and at my jaw-length bangs framing either side of my face. My hair color was black and their texture was all smooth and silky. 'I inherited my eyes from my mother, dark charcoal in color, the rest of the face though is all dad. A sharp jaw-line due to my regular exercise does make me look different than regular civilians.'
"Good Morning class!"
Iruka-sensei's greeting woke me up from my thoughts as I turn towards him. 'Man when did he come in...mom was right I need to pay attention to my surroundings more if I want to be a better ninja.'
"So as we discussed the various topics of your education yesterday, and all of you were provided with sufficient learning material, today we will go through all the combat part related to being a Ninja, now you don't need to be nervous we will just record your score today with another test a month from now to segregated you into various classes."
The whole class got agitated at the mention of a test but as Iruka-sensei explained the reason for the rest they calmed down. Though as soon as the word segregation into classes was mentioned, the nervous tension returned and everyone was murmuring to their friends.
"Alright calm down and follow me, every class is gonna be there because every sensei needs to sign on your scorecards. So with 6 classes there, it will be a little hectic...Now everyone line up and follow me."
Everyone scrambled to line up and we followed Iruka-sensei towards the academy training ground. As we arrived at the training ground, the other classes were already there and I started to spam Inspect on everyone to find my competitors.
'Hmmm...the average level of a clan kid is around 4 whereas the average level of civilian kids is around 2...The highest levels belong to the kids of major clans of Konoha like the Uchiha's and the Hyuga's, they stood above the rest with the Yamanaka's, Akimichi's and Nara's coming close behind...hmm still their average level is 8, with the highest belonging to an Uchiha kid...Inspect'

As I was analyzing everyone around me Iruka-sensei called out my name… "Tobi Shou..."
"Hai!" I approached him and stood in front of him.
"All right here are 10 shurikens, try to get as many points as possible. Aim for the middle target."

I paused for a second as I read the notification.
"Go on don't be nervous, you can always improve!!" Iruka-sensei was giving me an encouraging smile. I nodded and walked towards the starting line.
*deep breath*
I relaxed my body and took a shuriken from the set given. I threw the shuriken with perfect textbook posture. The shuriken landed in the 9's circle. After that successful throw, I repeated the same 9 more times. The result was a little lackluster than what I had imagined in my mind as a shuriken completely missed the target and instead got stuck on the safety board behind the target.

"Accuracy= 90%, score = 74" Iruka sensei looked happy at the score and patted my head as I passed beside him and waited for everyone else to be done with their assessment.
'Okay, this should have been better organized… it's super boring' I look around and notice a leaf lying on the floor beside my feet. I picked it up and placed it in the inside of my palm, and started practicing the Leaf sticking exercise.
The whole day was similarly spent on various assessments, and although it was a bit boring I at least got a lot of EXP for completing various quests.
"Accuracy= 90%, score = 73" 'That was on Kunai throwing'
"Physical conditioning score = 82" 'Yup 2 years of hard work paid off...'
"Ninjutsu = 71" 'I did successfully cast the henge no jutsu'
"Genjutsu breaking time = 2.6s, score = 74" 'Yeah...that one was embarrassing...'
"Taijutsu proficiency score = 72" 'Got my ass handed to me by sensei.'

'At least I got a month to grind my skills in order to increase my ranking.' I was walking home after all the assessments and Iruka-sensei told everyone to work hard and the current ranking will be displayed tomorrow.
'But still, I leveled up twice today and most probably gain at least another level tomorrow. The amount of time it would have taken me to level up that much without those quests would probably be at least a year...Being in the academy is certainly better than the alternative...'
"Mom I am Home..."
"Take your shoes off, and BE SURE TO PLACE YOUR SHOES ASIDE AND NOT THROW THEY ALL OVER THE PLACE..."
"I GOT IT...THAT WAS ONE TIME!!!"
*grumble*
I sat at the dining table as mom brings rice and porridge for lunch. I glare at her as she happily smiles at me. I shook my head and enjoy the meal while telling her all about the assessments today…
