"Huh. . ." I muttered in my sleep.

Knock! Knock!

"Arthrall, you awake??" Arialle said through the door.

"Huh. . . Oh yeah I'm awake now. Come on in!" I said while rubbing my eyes.

Arialle walked into the room, and stopped dead in her tracks.

"What is wrong Arialle?" I said while looking at her.

"Ne. . . Next. . . Next to you. . ." She stammered.

"Next to me?" I commented.

I turned my head over, and there was a big black fuzzy thing in my face.

"What the fuck??" I said.

I then leaned up, and I noticed the fuzzy thing had ears. It woke up the moment I leaned up. It looked right at me.

{{Good morning Arthrall!}} Onyx said.

"Wait. . . Onyx is that you?" I said.

Onyx then move its head up and down.

"Oh my god. . ." My speech started to trail off.

"HOW IN THE FUCK!!!" I yelled.

"What is wrong?" Arialle looked right at me.

"He is level 5!! How is this even possible!!? I exclaimed.

"Level 5?!" Arialle also exclaimed.

"Yeah, and he also got stat boosts somehow. . ." I mentioned.

"Well how does Onyx feel?" She then asked.

'How do you feel Onyx?'

{{I feel great. Although, I'm really hungry!}}

"He said he feels great, but he is hungry." I told her.

"Of course he is hungry! Hell I would be starving if I grew that much in less than 10 hours!: She exclaimed.

"Yeah you are right, I would also be starving!" I then exclaimed.

{{Why are you guys so loud. . .}} Orion said.

'Open your eyes, and look to your left. . . You will understand why. . .'

As soon as Orion opened his eyes, and looked left. He immediately jumped off the bed, and started flapping his wings to get away from it.

'Calm down! It is just Onyx!'

{{There is no way in hell that is Onyx! He was literally tiny last night!}} Orion exclaimed.

{{Orion! I grew up!}} Onyx said.

The look on Orion's face was comical. His jaw was opened like he was about to actually say something, but nothing came out. His eyes were big also.

{{Holy shit! Onyx, that really is you!}} Orion said while landing on his feet.

He then went up to Onyx, and started smelling him.

{{You've gotten stronger!}} Orion then said.

'Actually he is stronger than you were at level 5. . .'

{{What!?!?!?!?!? How is that even possible??}} He then looked at me, and asked.

"What is going on? Don't forget that I can't hear you guys. . ." Arialle then asked.

"Sorry, Orion was originally scared of Onyx, because he didn't know what was next to him. Then Onyx told him who he was, and after that Orion smelled him. Said he was stronger, and I just blew his mind by saying he was stronger than Orion was at that level." I turned towards Arialle, and told her what was going on.

"Oh. . . Wait. . . He is stronger then Orion was at his level?" She then asked.

"Yes, but I don't know how. Why don't we go to the Adventurer's Guild, and ask Phillip if he knows anything." I told Arialle.

"Alright, but let's eat first. Although the food I prepared for Onyx is no longer going to work. . . I might have some fresh meat he could have." She said after thinking for a moment.

"Alright, you two. Follow her, I'm going to get my gear on." I told Orion and Onyx.

They left the room, while I stayed sitting there. It took me a couple of minutes to finally hop off my bed, and then I put my gear on quickly. I went out of the room, and shut the door. Then I went to the kitchen to see Orion, Onyx, and Tyson devouring their food. Arialle had just put our plates down on the table. I sat down, and started eating my food. It took everyone about 20 minutes to eat breakfast. Once we were done doing that, I helped Arialle with the dishes again. Arialle and I said goodbye to Tyson, and then left the house to go towards the Adventurer's Guild.

Once we were inside, I went straight to Phillips office. Luckily he was in there. I then knocked on the door, waiting for a reply back.

"Come in!" Phillip said.

I opened the door, and let Arialle in first, then Orion, and finally Onyx. I stepped in last, and shut the door.

"Hey Phillip, I've got a question for you. . ." I told him.

"Yeah what is up and whose cat is that?" He asked me.

"Well. . . That is actually my question. He is my companion, and he isn't just a cat. He is an Onyx Panther. My question is, is it normal for Ranger's to have 2 companions?" I asked him.

"Wait. . . What?? You have 2 companions now? I mean I heard about you caring around a little kitten yesterday, well I guess panther cub now, but how is it so big already?" He asked me.

"Well I got him from an egg, just like Orion, and before you ask. It was from the thing I told you about 2 days ago, and to answer your question. . . Was going to be my second question, have you heard of any pets gaining such size, and levels?" I asked Phillip.

"Oh ok. . . Well no, I haven't heard of anything like that. Most Ranger's get their companions once they were older. Except dragons, because the older the dragon the harder it is to talk with one. Unless you get them from the egg, then you can talk with them till you die. Now levels, I'm not too sure about that one either. What level is he or she?" He told me, then he asked a question.

"It is a he, and he is level 5. Orion and I are both level 7." I told him.

"Well, it could be because you guys were so much of a higher level then him too." Phillip said.

"Oh ok." I commented.

"I do have to say though. You are one different Ranger. . ." Phillip then commented towards me.

"How so?" I then asked.

"Most Ranger's only have a single companion. Until that one dies, then the Ranger is stuck with that one companion." Phillip explained to me.

"Well then I'm about to blow your mind. . . I can have more than just 2 of them. . ." I told the both of them.

"How many can you have?" Arialle then asked me.

"Honestly, I'm not sure. The thing I told you about last night, told me that I can have more than the ones I've got now." I told her.

"Wow. . . Again, you are different. . ." Phillip then commented.

"Yeah I noticed. . ." I said while looking down.

"Don't get me wrong, it is different, but look at it this way. You will be the strongest Ranger out there!" Phillip then told me.

"I will be? Awesome!" I commented.

"Yes you will be, now since this has happened. I'm going to call Faylin here." He said, then walked out the door, and called her over.

He walked back in, and we waited just for a quick moment before Faylin came in. Phillip motioned for her to close the door behind her.

"Faylin, I want you to give Arthrall as many quests as he wants, because he now has a second companion. Don't ask how. I'll tell you later. Arthrall, I know you told me not to tell anyone, but I trust her with my life. Please allow me to tell her." He then told me.

". . ." I stared at him for a moment.

"Fine, but only her. Got that?" I asked him sternly.

"Yes I've got it!" He said to me straightly.

"Alright, the four of us are out of here, we are going to go to the Sheppard's Leatherworks, and do my quest I got last night." I said to them, and walked out without saying anything else because I was upset.
