49 What about asteroids?

"Hah, that's 100,000 Km, 900,000km left." I said to Osiric.

We were currently sitting in a circle. We were doing so because of exhaustion, not physical exhaustion, but mental exhaustion, no, it would be more accurate to call it soul exhaustion.

Mental and physical exhaustion could easily be healed by Emma, but even a lord class healer - which there are none and right now even the best healer among the lord is only as good as a mid A-ranker - can barely heal your soul.

You have to be a high king class to be able to heal a soul, which was pretty far into the future for this world. I learned that from the book Emma had bought, it's name was 'Healing 101'.

It was very good book and also taught me how to heal - though Emma was still leagues better than me.

"Still, this isn't all that bad." I said to Osiric and Emma.

"Yeah, it was the same with the first one - if you don't count the vaporization part." Emma replied.

"Well, it's a little strange. Rind's training right now is pretty light, but you shouldn't lower your guard. I speak from experience." Osiric said to us.

I and Emma both gulped down, just imagining what is the thing he might do.

"Osiric, isn't this world supposed to not have any flow in it - I mean your pure aura was starting to destroy it?" I asked him, a little weirded out by the fact that I could still use the flow as a medium.

"I think it has to do with some amount of flow just leaking in; and considering how the flow works even an infinitesimally small amount had more than infinite energy in it." Osiric replied.

"But even then, I am still not facing any drawbacks. Though my mana regen is just non-existent, my magic is still as powerful as it used to be." I replied, I mean I couldn't take out all the energy in the flow - anyone below emperor class couldn't even take out an infinitesimally small amount of energy from an infinitesimally small amount of flow.

So I had to use all the around me to finally make something worthwhile, that's also the reason why lower ranked people shine often while the higher ranks don't. It showed how efficient a person's control over the flow was.

Osiric was very precise with his flow control, but when he went to his white form, the large quantity of flow he absorbed wasn't something he could fully utilize. So he was actually wasting about 90% of all the flow he was absorbing. If he tried to absorb it all, he would be at a net loss, because he will be wasting 99% of his power to get 90% more flow.

"You know how flow repels anything that is contaminated?" I nodded to his question, Emma also did the same - she was also curious. The contamination he mentioned was basically magic.

It is also the reason I don't blow up the entire universe by using my magic - I mean even the smallest portion of infinite is still infinite. The flow repels like 99.999.....9% of the energy in the attack.

"Well there isn't much replustion - remember not much repulsion doesn't mean no repulsion - so even with the lower amount of flow you still release the same amount of energy." Osiric finished his explanation.

"I really have to ask you, where do you get all this knowledge from. You just completely devalue our legendary skill." I said to Osiric, who made our appraisals almost useless.

"That's what happens when you are so insufferable, and have to go through literal hell disguised as "training". I have read probably more than 1000 books have them memorized from a-z." Osiric replied, there was a little bit of anger in this voice.

Hearing that I and Emma kept quiet and had a wry smile plastered to our faces.

'Um, shouldn't have asked that.' I though to myself.

"Well then, we should probably get going. I really don't want to wait a long time." Osiric said as he stood up.

We then followed suit.

I then sighed as I had only completed 10% of the entire race (?). "Well, then, here we go!"

...

We were running at speeds that was invisible to a normal person, there were many meteors coming at us. They were all destroyed by Osiric.

The reason Osiric was doing that was because I really needed to save my mana. Rind may pull some cheap trick on us, and if we don't have my raw destructive power, then we will have to redo this entire thing again.

"And that's 98,567 meteors down." Osiric said as he landed on the ground - he was jumping pretty high up in sky.

The number really seemed stupid high, well to be honest, we were destroying like 12 meteors per second. The reason for that was the faster we destroyed the meteors the more we had to destroy.

And if we destroyed any less than 12, we were going to be bombarded with meteors.

We were currently more than 20% done with the race (?). "Well, then only about 2 hours is left." I said.

"Tyler, its somehow very trippy. I mean before 1 month ago, 100,000km was such a huge distance. And now, its just some hours for us. And we aren't even going at our full speed." Emma said.

I agreed, we were moving at mach 20. We could push it to mach 30 if we wanted to. But we didn't, since doing so would really suck our mana - and stamina - out of our body. At that speed the drag is going to be stupid high.

Currently going this fast I was experiencing millions of newtons of force acting on my body - it was about 3 mil, thank you my unconscious brain which manages all the information I get form my skills.

I was using about .001 mp per second to lessen it my 10 times, meaning I was only experiencing a grand total of 300 tons of force. That was a shit load of force, if I was a normal being, I would probably just be splattered because of the force.

Thankfully, everyone here was capable of handling that much force with ease. I could easily punch a building to oblivion - without using any magic, though if I did use it, I would probably level everything in a radius of 100m.

"Yeah, I mean we just grew so much in such a short time. We became million times stronger in just a month." I replied, "What about you, Os?" I asked him.

"Same, though I do feel a lot less than you. The people in this world get very powerful, though that's mostly due to the flow - our growth is way out of the norm." Osiric replied as he was destroying meteors here and there.

There were some debris coming at us here and there, but they couldn't get past Emma and mine barrier - which didn't need a lot of mana, only about .1 mana per second.

...

"Oh, you got to be serious..." I said as I looked up to the sky, "how are we supposed to even stop that thing!"

We had completed our 100,000 km marathon - finally found a word for that. And coming at me, was a fucking asteroid that was "small".

The 150m behemoth was super heavy, about 5000 kg/m^3. We knew that because of appraisal and Osiric. That thing was coming at us at mach 60. And the fucking thing was about 8 times stronger that the Tsar Bomba.

We were seriously fucked, and it wasn't just getting vaporised, well will fucking burn. "Well, Emma, you know what to do."

Emma buffed me up a little, she did the same with Osiric as well.

"Well Osiric, see ya after we lose or that thing loses." Osiric nodded, "Well make a spear, I am going to try to split that thing." Osiric said to me.

It was going to be hard for Osiric to split that thing, the sheer speed and power that thing had was just that much. "What's the chance?"

"Full split, is about 10%, partial split is about 50%, and 100% is at least breaking the asteroid." Osiric answered.
