34 Chapter 34: Al Furnax

"Thank you!" Dave thanked us as he unloaded his delivery to a building, we still didn't know what he was delivering.

But we didn't care about it. "No problem!" I replied.

I shook hands with him, Osiric and Emma were behind me talking. "Since you helped me soo much, I can't let you get unpaid." Dave said as he went to check inside his card's inventory.

Those cards weren't only exclusive to the adventurer's guild. They were distributed in every job and guild.

The cards shared most of their features, like calling, inventory, shop, etc. Though, they had a specific function; like how our cards had a quest tab.

You can also buy a card yourself, but they would be a little expensive. The only difference between a bought and an unbought card was the inventory capacity.

The features get updated by the one with authority, basically only their bosses can update or add features.

We can also buy new cards, but it wasn't worth the price. The inventory in our card is more than enough for us.

"Here you go! And lastly, thank you very much!" Dave then gave us 20 gold coins.

When I saw that, I had to try my best to look calm. Since, we didn't just scam this guy for hundreds of thousands of gold coins, but also made him double the price of the quest.

Osiric and Emma were still busy talking, so they didn't know. "I don't need it, you can take it." I tried my best to make him take it back, but I knew it won't work - it was the last attempt.

"No, no. It's on me. You made me complete my delivery way faster than I had expected. I also didn't get hurt a bit." he pushed his gold coins on me, "Plus, you can take that sword for free. So, you can say that the sword is the reward for the quest."

My attempt failed, I sighed and then accepted his offer, "Ok, thank you."

I then started to walk back, and meet up with Emma and Osiric, "Bye." I waved my hand at Dave.

Dave looked at me, "You can come and see me back at my shop..."

Dave looked to be thinking something; I waited since he looked like he wanted to say something.

Osiric and Emma were still ignorant and were busy talking to each other, "Speak up, I won't mind it. I promise." I had a smile on my face and said it in a kind tone.

The smile and the voice were soo good that unless you are like Osiric, or a D ranker, you won't even be able to tell that it was a facade.

"I apologize, but can you please accept another quest. A guard quest, I will pay you as well..."

...

"So that's what he said." I explained to Emma and Osiric, who were busy talking when Dave was talking about the quest.

We were currently in an inexpensive inn. We were still in the same city as Dave, Al Furnix.

Al Furnix, it was a mid-sized city. It, like the other cities, was circular in shape. It was surrounded by a wall, the wall was about 20 meters tall - way smaller than the 60 meters wall at Libert.

It was big, but was still way smaller compared to Libert. But even then it was pretty hard to find an inn, if we hadn't asked Dave for his help - as he does a lot of business in this city and knows the ins and outs.

We would probably still be walking around finding an inn.

"Do you want to accept it Tyler, I mean the reward's quite good." Osiric asked me.

The quest would pay us 30 gold coins, it would also give about 10k exp. It was very good - it would be the best quest we have ever received.

I wanted to take it. That quest would easily let us get to level 30 and class up. I just wanted to tell them about the quest.

"Yep, it will be way easier to reach level 30. We can also go to his village faster." I replied.

I really wanted to meet Osiric mother, sadly I couldn't meet his father - since he has already died. Osiric has made sculptures of his mother and showed it to us. Today, at lunch, he even made an ice sculpture of his mother and showed it to us.

Emma was the same.

"Well then, it's decided." Osiric asked," So, where should we go to eat?"

Emma's cooking was good, but a chef was still better - they had the cooking skill after all. With how skills worked, even with the talent, you won't be able to replicate a skill's ability.

Osiric had said that it's better to think of skills as gods' blessings.

"How about," Emma went to the window, we followed her, "that shop."

The shop she was pointing at was a normal restaurant, we didn't feel like eating anything special; so it was a good pick - as expected of Emma.

"Sure." I and Osiric said together.

"Let's eat quickly and sleep, we have to wake up quickly tomorrow." I said to them.

They both nodded, I then opened the door of our room and started to walk to the shop. Emma and Osiric were following behind me.
