2 Chapter 2: Osiric Rywen

That happened so fast that I and Emma couldn't help to look shocked.

"Really!?" Emma asked him.

"Yeah, you guys looked fun so I joined." He answered, "Plus you guys are the only ones with laws who don't look like a jerk or egotistic."

"Huh, why do you know that we have laws. You don't have appraisal, or is it that you can check other people's status without appraisal." I asked him

"No, I can't check your status like how you checked mine. But I can sense that you have laws." he answered.

"Ok." I replied.

"So, Os. What is the use of laws." Emma asked him.

"Laws are simply boosts, they grow stronger as you get stronger." Osiric answered.

We talked with each other for about 10 minutes, we got to know each other better. We also knew why Osiric had such high-stats.

He seems to have trained for about 10 years, starting from when he was 5. He told us that he was fascinated by the Sword Saints and wanted to become one; Sword Saint was a legendary job that people needed to ascend to Saint Class.

We also learned a bit about the world, it seems that we were at one of the biggest country in the world, Merxus. The world's name was Drite.

The people here could be divided by classes, or if they are adventurers then ranks, the classes ranged from Elementary, Intermeidate, Advanced, Master, Saint and Lord.

I had fun talking with Osiric, he seemed like a chill guy. We also forgot that he was the guy that had just brutally thrown one of our classmates, but who even likes Rick.

"Heroes, have you chose the people you are going to travel with?" the king asked.

Everyone, including us, said, 'Yes'.

The king became pleased and called us to change our classes, when I asked Osiric about it, he said that classes change will give us a huge boost in stats and a little boosts in the power of our skills.

"Emma isn't it exciting." I said to her, excited that we were getting to live a fantasy game-esque life.

"Yeah." she replied.

We were waiting in a line, we didn't have to wait for long as it only took about 10 seconds each for a person to class change.

When it was my turn, I was pretty excited. I quickly touched the crystal ball that the king had prepared.

[You are given the class 'Mage']

The process was automatic and painless, I was satisfied with what I had got and went back to meet up with Osiric, Emma quickly followed after me.

"What class did you get?" I asked her.

"Healer." she answered.

Our party was pretty balanced right now, we had a swordsman, a mage and a healer. I was ready to kick some monster ass.

"You?" she asked.

"Mage." I answered.

We met up with Osiric and told him our classes, he congratulated us.

"So what affinities do you guys have?" Osiric asked.

We answered; I had told him that I had perfect affinity with fire, water, wind and earth; while Emma told him that she had perfect affinity with holy.

"That's good." he replied .

"Great Heroes, you shall be sent to a town or a city. There you shall, adventure until you reach E-rank. If you reach E-rank before 6 months you may join the Royal Academy." the king answered.

Everyone except for the guards and our classmates shouted really at the same time.

Even Osiric also had said the same thing.

"What's the Royal Academy?" Emma asked him.

"Royal Academy is where they train royals and strong nobles. Strong people can also join it, but it costs too much to join and it's quite rare to even get admitted if you are not a royal. But it's all worth it, the students who have studied in the academy at minimum can reach C-rank or the peak of Master Class." he answered.

We didn't get it but knew that it had to be important.
