18 Chapter 18: Return

"Hyaa!" I used my spear to stab Osiric, it landed and had pierced through his hand.

I didn't worry about injuries, since Emma could heal this injury in less than a second. The stab just now as a technique I had gotten from 'Spearmanship: Lv.3' and 'Elemental Spear: Lv.4'.

The attack made a massive gust of wind and even destroyed the ground a little - I mean it was going way faster than sound - so I had to improve on my energy control. Energy control is a broken ability where you ignore the conversion of energy and use the entirety of the energy you generated to attack your enemy. Osiric has already mastered it, and has even learned its advanced form, energy redirect.

"Yes!" I shouted, raising my hands in the air.

Emma was also excited, today was the 6th night we had stayed at the spring. It was sad, but tomorrow we are going to go back to Libert. I ignored the feeling of affection for the city, since I didn't want to deal with it.

[A/N: You see those factors in those parentheses, those things help me remember how many times do I have to multiply his res and mag stat to find his mana and hp - those factors also rise, for example at first the factor for mana for Tyler was 3, it rose to 4. For example if you multiply his mag with the mana factor: 220 x 4 = 880, simple, also I have to make a list for all of their status. Which I am probably going to release at the end of the volume.]

The training was pretty harsh, I had broken many of my muscles. The same could be said about Emma and Osiric. Also, Osiric now fought us without holding back. That was a massive success in our eyes.

The training also increased our stats by about 10, and except Osiric, we all have increased our skill levels as well in some skill. Emma's healing boost leveled 2 levels and became level 4; right now she could heal any normal wounds in seconds.

She and I had also leveled up our physical enhancement and haste to level 5, giving us a 25% boost in all physical stats and 50% increase to our agility respectively.

I was now confident that, if Osiric only used his swordsmanship, I and Emma together could beat him - though it would be very hard. That thought made me very happy, Osiric - without his magic - was fast as sound and could easily lift 10 tons by himself. He was also durable as well, with his class and skill he is actually may be slightly more durable than Emma.

"That's enough training, right?" I asked Osiric, who was currently getting healed by Emma.

"Yes, your mastery over elemental spell is good. You should have gotten a stronger instinct and better battle sense, I think we should start practicing how to use pseudo mana weapons after we go to Libert." Osiric answered calmly, "I think you guys should start practicing with mana infusion as well."

"Really!?" Emma replied, she had already finished healing Osiric, "I mean last time we tried infusion, we almost killed ourselves."

"Yeah, if Emma hadn't increased her resistance stat in that moment we would've probably died." I added.

I know mana infusion's broken, but still, I and Emma are still a little bit afraid about it, considering our history with it.

"Don't worry, this time I would supervise you. Though you guys are still going to have to practice a lot before doing it." Osiric said as he started unsheathe his white steel sword.

We trusted Osiric a lot, so we hesitantly agreed. Osiric smiled, seeing that smile; we couldn't back down. So I and Emma looked at each other and nodded, pumping ourselves up.

"Let's go to sleep, you really should get a good rest if you want to increase your stats more." Osiric said as he went to his room.

If my past self one week ago looked at him, he would barely be able to make out a blur. But me right now, I could clearly see him running. Emma was the same as well.

"Let's go." I said to her as we went to our separate rooms, getting ready to sleep.

As always, the atmosphere here was very cozy, so I quickly went to sleep. It was very peaceful, I don't know what to expect tomorrow, but I do know one thing, we won't ever stack quests together.

"I am going to miss this." Osiric said as he looked back the picturesque city of Shikazan, I could see a small drops of tear welling in his eyes. Like him, both Emma and I had tears forming.

We didn't want to leave this place, but we can't afford it. We had wasted about 50 gold coins in just a week, that's like 2 platinum coins per month.

That kind of money isn't something we can make easily, but if we did that, we could. But no one would agree to do it ever again.

"Yeah." Both, Emma and I said together nodding with him.

We were outside the city, on the spot where we were left off by the carriage when we first came here. We only had to wait about 2 to 3 minutes until we heard the carriage.

The carriage was about 100m away, a distance which it could cover in about a second. The carriage stopped in front of us. The coachman asked us for identification, we just handed him our cards.

He used a device that looked like a card reader, I didn't how it worked; so I summed it up as magic. The coachman confirmed we were the passengers and let us get on board, we were very excited and got into the carriage.

I saw the walls, I then tried my best to not to look at it and ignored the feeling of affection I felt towards it. I didn't want to experience it, Emma was even using her magic to make willpower stronger - she had learned that on the 4th day at the hot spring.

Osiric didn't have to worry about it due to his already high willpower, so he just looked at it. Though he looked a little dead.

"So, we have returned." I said to Osiric.

"Yeah, this time lets not do that." Osiric said as he stared at Emma, I also did as well.

"Ok, I get it! I am sorry!" Emma apologized, seeing her apologizing we got a little happy so we shut up and waited for the ride to stop.
