16 Chapter 16: Loser

Rid looked a little shocked after seeing Osiric's form. He knew that people were able to do it due to his father. It was commonly known as mana infusion, where you use the mana in the atmosphere to boost your self.

People starting from E-rank can do it. Rid can also use infusion, since he was a noble and an F-ranker. But what surprised him was that Osiric could do it as well. He knew that Osiric wasn't strong as an E-ranker because you start to release a barrier unconsciously once you reach E-rank.

"This is going to be fun." Rid had thought to himself.

"Tyler, do you think Osiric can win. I mean he would've won before, but the stat increase is too much." Emma said to Tyler, a little bit relieved but also worried.

She was relieved because if Osiric won, they wouldn't have to deal with the noble if he was egotistic, and worried because Osiric would probably get hurt a lot.

"Oh shit! I forgot about his stats increase due to the aura he released." Tyler cursed a little worried as well, he was also a little worried.

While they were thinking that, Osiric thought to himself, "This is going to be easy, but shouldn't he be infusing himself?"

"You should probably infuse yourself," Osiric glared at the noble, "otherwise you are going to get hurt."

Rid got chills running down his spines after he heard Osiric say that. "I shouldn't be playing around in this one." was the only thing he thought after hearing him.

Rid started to infuse his body with mana, he started glowing red. The ground around his started to catch fire. This was due to him infusing his body with fire mana. He got a 23% boost to his stats, though that's nothing compared to 125% boost to both his stats and skills.

Seeing this Tyler and Emma were a little shocked; they had tired to infuse their body with mana. That incident resulting with all of their bones being shattered and muscles being ripped apart. Also, they bleed from every orifice in their body, every single one of them.

So they knew how hard it was to control mana inside their body; but Osiric had said it would all be worth it and they should try it after getting the first class up, which was would need Tyler to get 18,300 exp, Emma will have to get 19,000 exp.

The highest experience they had gotten at once was in the orc village which had given them over 5,000 exp in total. That leveled them quite a lot.

Then, before Tyler and Emma could even react, Rid attacked Osiric. His weapon was also glowing red, just like Osiric's, and was very hot. The sword would be about 1,000 C, which is insanely hot. The air was burning a little bit.

Tyler and Emma didn't notice the increase in temprature, they knew that the temprature had increased but could feel it. That was the testament of how stronger they had gotten in the past week.

Osiric easily blocked the attack with his white sword, unlike Rid - whose sword became hotter - Osiric's sword became shaper, faster, stronger, more durable, had more mana, was easier to use, was resistant to the laws of the world, so it was buffed in every single tangible and non-tangible aspect.

The reason for that was pure mana, it's main purpose was to boost its user in, literally, everything.

Rid was a little shocked to find his attack easily blocked, but before he could move away Osiric countered.

Rid was barely able to dodge it, the attack easily surpassed the speed of sound so there was a shockwave. The gust of air blowed dust all over the yard. Most of the servants couldn't see a thing, while Emma and Tyler were barely able to make out Osiric's and Rid's shape, and the stronger guards could easily see through the smoke overseeing the entire fight.

They clashed releasing shockwaves after shockwaves through out the yard. The building would have been damaged a little if it was on earth, but in this world it didn't even get scratched. The building was reinforced so heavily that you could throw an extinction-class asteroid at it wouldn't even be scratched.

Rid slashed, parried, cut, stabbed, countered. But all of them were blocked by Osiric, this was due tot he difference in their skills - it included more element but skill was the biggest factor. Rid was getting a little annoyed so he started to become slow, making sure to focus only on Osiric, finding any gaps in Osiric.

But sadly, with a level 6 skill, Rid couldn't find it. Then he stopped, as soon as he stopped all the dust settled at once. That was due to Osiric.

"Thank you." Rid said to him, he cleared his throat and said, "I lost."

He and Osiric both sheathed their weapons and bowed to each other.

...

They were bowing to each other, seeing this made both me and Emma feel safer. It meant that we won't have to deal with a noble this soon after getting into this world.

And that's how the trouble was almost settled...
