14 Chapter 14: Noble That Wanted To Fight

"So you want to fight me?" Osiric said to the noble in front of us.

"Yes, you shall fight me. I want to see the techniques you used yesterday." the noble said to Osiric, getting his sword ready.

Osiric touched his forehead, a little annoyed. I mean I would've been annoyed as well if someone, who looks like a jerk, tried to pick fights with me right after I wake up.

I and Emma looked at his status.

This is going to get bad, I didn't expect to find the lord of our city. I quickly remembered what the noble's rank was.

"No, Osiri-"

"Fine, have it your way." Osiric said as he drew his sword, pointing towards the duke's child.

"-he is the duke's child."

"Emma." I said to Emma, I looked her in the eye.

"I know, it's going to be bad." she answered, "I hope he isn't like that rat bastard."

Right now the only thing we hope for was that the noble won't feel offended after losing. He had higher base stats, but his agility is actually lower than Osiric's true agility - which is 350 - and that combined with his low-leveled skill; he doesn't stand a chance against Osiric.

I woke up, this time somehow I woke up the earliest - since Emma would always wake up before me. I chalked it up to the fact that Emma hadn't experienced the comfort of having massive amounts of mana, which you have a perfect affinity, be around you while you sleep.

I slowly got out of my bed and then used my fire, water, wind, and earth magic to clean myself. It only cost me about 2-5 mp to do it. It would regenerate in couple of seconds.

I was ready, so I looked around the place. I found the way that lets me go the yard - from where I can see a good look at the city.

I quickly ran there, "This is really amazing, this is going to be the best week of my life." I said as I looked around the city.

The city with it's asian-aesthetic; which was a combination of Japanese, Chinese, and some Indian culture. I looked at the scenery with shock. I haven't seen this beautiful scenic beauty anywhere, there may be more beautiful places in the world. With the picturesque scenery burned into my eyes, I started to look for more details.

Every building looked amazing, I couldn't find even a single mistake in them. The beautiful morning sun rays covered the city, the misty atmosphere due to the high amount of fire mana.

People setting up their shops, the natural feel, and the scent, it looked and felt so beautiful I couldn't even describe.

If you have me a word to describe the feeling I was feeling, then it would be 'freedom'. I get as if I spread my wings and flew, with nothing holding me back. The scenery just made me feel free.

I then heard someone open a door near me, I quickly looked back and found that it was Emma. My face quickly changed to a smug expression.

"Hello, Mrs. Sleeps Alot. How does it feel to wake up slow?" I asked her sarcastically, I was going to get my revenge now.

She had scolded me so many times the past week due to my sleeping habits, I couldn't even refute her since she couldn't feel the comfort that I feel when I cover the area with my mana and sleep.

I also discovered that you feel comfortable when you have the mana, which you have an affinity, in the atmosphere in high amounts, you feel very comfortable and safe.

"Ok I get it, I am sorry." she replied, knowing what I meant.

"Yeah you better, do you know how many times made me feel bad about myself." I said to her - also I would find out after a year that it was due to her [Law of Truth] that I felt bad about myself.

"Then you are ok." I said to her, "I am hungry wanna go eat something?" I asked her.

"Sure let's go." she answered, "You should also let Osiric know, since he isn't going to wake up anytime soon."

Osiric always woke up late; Emma didn't berate him because he handled all the heavy lifting himself, but had later found out that he doesn't even get tired and that he just sleeps for that long.

Though Emma left him alone, since, without him we won't be able to function. I felt a little jealous of Osiric due to that. He could sleep for as long as he wanted to, while I couldn't even complete my sleep.

I quickly got over that and walked with Emma and got a simple lunch at the inn - we also let Osiric know that we were going out, it wasn't good as yesterday's ramen; but what do you expect.

Being able to eat advanced rank monsters - the only way to beat that ramen, unless you happen to be a Lord Cook - costed a fortune, just a single kilogram of their meat would cost you about 20-30 gold coins.

But even then; it was still very good. I and Emma were very satisfied with our meal. We then quickly went to our room to check on Osiric to see if he was there, if not then we will just have to go look for him.

"You shall fight me!" a boy who looked 15, had blonde hair and blue eyes. He was pretty handsome, though not as much as Osiric. He wore pretty high-end clothes.

If you asked me to describe him in a few words, I would tell you that he looked like your generic fantasy nobles that you find in animes. I found that my suspicions were true when he managed to release an aura that could only be described as 'noble'.

Osiric got irritated and answered yes, before I could tell him that the guy was a duke's child.

And that's how we got into the mess; which I like to dub 'The hot spring disaster', thank god the noble wasn't that bad.
