10 Chapter 10: Bow and Spear

"Ahhhh." I moaned, the 'Fiber Message' was way better than I thought it would be.

I felt as if my entire body was cleaned and everything that made it worse was taken out; it felt heavenly.

[Due to your current action, +12 strength.]

I was a little surprised, I didn't expect my strength to go up 12. I think I should make Emma and Osiric do the same.

But I didn't worry about that, I just wanted to relax for a while and enjoy the 'Fiber Message'.

...

It took me about 1 hour, but I was done with the message.

'I should really thank that guy.' I thought to myself as I paid 1 gold coin for it.

It was totally worth it. I thanked the mage who did it and went to the spring itself. Osiric had said that he would be in it for about 2 hours, so I could go and see him.

I was on the way to the hot spring, when I spotted someone.

"Oh, Emma," I called Emma, "didn't expect to see you here."

"Same here." Emma replied

"So, where are you going." I asked her, a little curious to know where she was about to go.

"I am going to go buy something to eat; what about you." she replied.

"I am just going to the hot spring, Osiric should be there so I wanted to talk and relax with him for a while." I answered, I know what Emma was thinking so I quickly left since I didn't want her to tell "that".

"See you later, Emma." I quickly and slowly went to meet with Osiric.

...

I entered the hot spring, I had taken out my cloth and only had a towel covering me. I went inside and saw Osiric in the water.

He was sitting near the edge, he spread his entire body, he was groaning a little bit. I saw his body, it was a little surprising, to be honest.

Osiric looked very thin, especially if he was wearing only his clothes - like he always does. But looking at his body without anything covering it, it looked ripped.

Osiric had said that the muscles in his body were very dense and were tightly packed together, he was correct but I didn't expect him to have this.

His muscles looked hard - really hard, combined with his porcelain skin - which covered his entire body - I got to say it, he looked kinda hot.

I now regretted entering the hot spring. I am sure if Emma had seen this, she would probably stare at us and will also think about things that are unholy.

"Hey, Os. Mind if I join you." I asked him, trying my best to not look at him.

"Go ahead." he answered.

...

We sat in the spring for about half an hour, we talked a little. We mostly talked about how this was the best decision we have made while being adventurers.

"Tyler do you know any melee combat?" Osiric asked me a strange question.

"No, I don't know how to fight close-combat." I answered, "It took me about 3 days to finally know the basics of fighting long-range."

"That's bad, you really should learn how to use a melee weapon. Especially if you were attacked while I am busy." Osiric replied.

His points made sense, both Emma and I are pitifully weak in close combat, even a goblin may beat us if it had the right skills.

Close combat skills also boosted our instincts and gave us better mana control; I mean after level 2 skills start to give you more things like increasing your stamina, making mana easier to use, etc.

But the most important point that he had not said, since it was common sense, was mana deficiency. If we use too much mana, we would get knocked out until our mana was full.

At low ranks mana took hours to fill up, even me - a cheater - would take about 15-30 minutes to completely regenerate my mana.

"You're right, we should learn melee combat. I mean it would only be with benefit, right? Learning it should make our battle sense better and give us an edge against other mages." I replied.

"I think only you should learn melee combat, Emma should probably know ranged." Osiric responded, "You know why, right?"

I thought about it for a second and nodded.

Emma was going to be at the back most of the time, healing us. Making her use a melee weapon would be stupid.

"So what weapon do you want me to use? I am fine with anything." I asked him.

"Since you don't have any skills related to a weapon, you should probably learn how to use a spear due to its range. I don't want you to fight with me, you can just support me. I think Emma should use a bow." Osiric answered.

"I agree with that, don't worry Emma won't disagree with you. I mean we somehow share mostly the same personality trait." I replied.

"Yeah, it's really weird." he responded, folding his hands together.

"I know, right." I said to him.

We then talked about it for some time and then finally after about 30 minutes we left the spring. We quickly put on our clothes and went to find Emma.

And that's how we started to learn how to use a bow and spear.
