1 The Swan in the Center of the Galaxy

A lot of stars, a lot of moons dancing with their suns, a lot of planets (some are in odd shapes which I considered as "alien planets") and a beautiful SWAN. Yes! A beautiful about-to-fly swan which dominates the size of everything within the other members of its surroundings. These are the pieces of stuff that I see glowing on the surface of my ceiling every night I lay down on my bed.

Each night before I go to sleep, I always make sure that I will have a glance in this beautiful odd artwork of mine (if this could be considered as artwork). This stable galaxy attached to my ceiling is a gift from my dad when I turned 10. I don't know what came across in his mind and he decided to buy and give this thing to me. At first, I don't like it but when we assemble them and the nightfall came, sudden magic burst in my room filled with this set of glowing things. I love them. I really love them! And this love grew a lot more caused by this beautiful swan which I saw and bought in an old store near our place. I saw it alone lying on an empty and dusty shelf. It seems that no one else notices her beauty and the artistic ability of its maker. Or perhaps, the reason why it is still unpurchased is that she waits for me. We are meant to be. (My goodness! I think I already lost my sanity for relating myself with a lifeless object). So to cut my soliloquy short, the store owner gave it freely to me and as a response to her kindness, I bought some goods and sweets for her to gain even just a little profit within that day.

When I got home, I went o my room and immediately I place my beautiful swan in the center and it seems that there is this magic splashed within my created universe. It seems it fathomed the unfathomable constellations. She (I assumed that this swan is a "she" because I am not comfortable with the "he" gazing against me) completed the glowing picture and brought marvel on it. Indeed, she is the center of my created universe.

"I am this swan and I am the center of my own universe."

After these series of reminiscence, I felt my eyes were about to close when Taylor Swift began to sing her song in my phone saying,

"Say you'll remember me

Standing in a nice dress, staring at the sunset babe

Red lips and rosy cheeks

Say you'll see me again even if it's just in your wildest dreams (ah ah)

Wildest dreams (ah ah)."

As I am about to answer my phone, the call suddenly stopped and a message quickly appeared on my screen- a message from Ana.

"Hey nerd, I know it's already 11 in the evening but I am so excited about our trip tomorrow and I can't hold my horses. But then I realized that you might be on a deep sleep. I don't want to disturb you anymore so good night and see you tomorrow!"

My goooodnessss! Seriously! This girl saying she doesn't want to disturb me when actually she did and ruined my about-to-sleep moment! Holy cow! Why some people do something that is offensive and in the end, they act like an innocent child and pretend to be the victim when actually they are seen obviously as the murderer? If she's not my best weirdest friend, I will return the "pleasure of ruining someone's sleep." Arggghh…. This will be a very long night for me since I will seek again the proper technique in getting back to sleep. Crap!

I already turned myself in every corner of my bed and yet, sleep does not want to come anymore. This is a nightmare! I hate this! I am wide awake! What frustrates me more is that I cannot do anything about except to wait for it to come to visit me again. I have no choice but to endure it! To calm myself, I savor and stare my own galaxy again. Suddenly, a question abruptly popped in my head and tickled my curiosity: "Is there any unusual fact about swans?" Quickly, I took my phone and banged Google with the four-letter-word SWAN. As I entered the word, Google is much excited (more than I) that he provided tons of suggestions and what captured my attention are the words "Swan Song." I clicked it and I had numerous responses.

I clicked the site of https://www.phrases.org.uk. There, a plain fact (because I don't think it was a "fun fact" at all) was stated saying, "T(h)e term swan song originates from the legend that, while they are mute during the rest of their lives, swans sing beautifully and mournfully just before they die."

My goodness! This is something! How unfortunate is that? You have to remain silent for the rest of your life just to prepare your very last performance before you die. After I read the article, a lot of questions began to bother me. I don't want to entertain them but these questions made their ways to entertain me.

"Why would you choose to be silent when you have the choice to voice and speak out the things you want to express?"

"Is it possible to enjoy life within the realm of silence?"

"Do these creatures possibly found happiness in the middle of silence?"

"What can be found in the middle of silence?"

Crap! A lot of questions are still flooding my head. However, as I continuously discern these questions, a good thing happened. I can feel again that sleep is gently approaching at me.

I turned my sight beside my table and slowly, I closed my eyes as I have my last glance at my clock which shows 3:47 A.M.

"All is well Amy! Someday, you will achieve your desired happiness and you will regain your self again: a worth-loving self."
