After nearly a whole day, OriginalMagus returned after completing nearly 20 individual quests, and 3 parts of a 6-part chain quest, only to find that The Sage had locked himself up in the extra room.
However, he wasn't sad at all. The amount of exp and items he received from the quests along with the rather generous quest from the sage was enough to bring his level up to 5 already.
He had returned not to complete The Sage's quest but because of the notification he received.

Race evolution I
Advancement to Level 5 requires a race evolution. Choose one of the following races:
1] Human II
2] Draconic Spectator (The Sage)

This was the first race evolution a player had ever received in a game, and OriginalMagus knew this because there had been no-one so far who had posted about it on the forums.
Naturally, he wanted to be the first, and immediately took a screenshot if it and posted it on the forums to brag in front of his direct competition, SwordSlasher, WeedGod, and the gang.
But he quickly turned his attention back to the race evolution.
Human II seemed like a general upgrade in his overall stats, a so called 'stock race'.
Draconic Spectator (The Sage) seemed like a more worthy race for OriginalMagus. Furthermore, The Sage was involved in his race evolution, which also added to the allure of this seemingly 'rare race'.
After a deep contemplation which lasted for nearly 4 whole minutes in-game, and unacceptable time for a top-player like OriginalMagus to not be completing quests, he finally decided and chose Draconic Spectator (The Sage).
Suddenly, A wave of white light assaulted his senses, and the game screen turned white for nearly 10 minutes before returning, finding it was already morning.
'Damnit!' he thought in his mind as he opened his status.
Just as he did that, all the anger from his face vanished as he saw the description of his new race.
