Luke looked at this mission and sneered. Most warrior specialisation had such missions. 'Kill people' Murder people' 'Torture people,' etc. Nothing good ever came from warrior missions. But Luke had a simple solution to this problem.

'MI9 death row.' An idea came up in Luke's head as he walked out of his new residence within the MI9 base, and walked into Barton's office, which was just opposite to him.

"I need to kill 500 scum" he stated with a flat tone, not caring for the Leon kingdom leaders sitting in front of Barton.

Barton, the executive director of MI9, stared into the black draconic eyes of Luke for a while before saying.

"Alright. 500 Resistance members will be separately questioned by you. But I need all the information form them before you kill anyone."

"Alright!"

Luke grinned sheepishly as he dashed out of the room to quickly make his way to the cells holding the Resistance members in order to complete his quest.

Back in the room, Barton sighed deeply as he turned back to the finance minister and the Military minister of the Leon kingdom and continued their meeting.

The two people in question were already shuddering at the cruelty of the people living in this place, especially that black-masked man.

'Black masked?' thought the military minister as he suddenly thought of a single man who fit the description.

'Undying monster, The Sage.'

Luke had already asked for his identity to be whipped out of all records, and out of the minds of all those who knew about his true identity except a select few, namely, the council of 12, Barton, and Alice. He wanted to be known as The Sage, and not Lucas anymore.

There was a certain muffled voice inside him that was screaming in the softest loud voice ever against this action, but Luke could not hear this voice, and simply proceeded with his plans, and the council also approved of it.

Most of the members of the council were people similar to Luke, and wanted to forget their past to move onto a better and brighter future. Furthermore, seeing as Luke was at the threshold of reaching grand mage, the council were more inclined towards supporting a rising star like Luke, whose growth speed was just too fast. Normally, grand mages were haggard old men nearing the end of their lifespans. Seeing a 19-year-old kid nearing this level was quite intriguing to those old fogies who had already reached the peak of this world.

Naturally, this peak did not refer to any sort of limitation on the level like players, but it referred to the natural peak of existence. No player nor NPC was able to exceed this limit before the myriad planes were opened to the world, basically they were waiting for Version 3.0 and the dimensional gate's creation, to allow the level of mana on this plane to increase and allow all beings to cross this barrier of existence, and transform into a true 'super' in the truest sense of the word, by going above level 79.

A few days passed by and Luke had completed his task of information gathering, and completed his quest at the same time.

"Phew, 500 in 10 days is quite the packed schedule." Luke sighed as he checked his new status.

It seemed like Aura was a new stat added, as a sub-stat of energy. Therefore, from now on, Luke would have to split his energy between Mana and Aura Energy for the respective use.

However, what mattered more was that Luke had finally reached the dreaded level cap of 40.
