First Adventurers

Not far from Tom's dungeon, two men were banging on the door of a house located in the center of a small village.

"Village chief! Village chief! Open the door!" The younger of the two yelled.

After a while, the door opened slowly, revealing an elderly man using a walking stick.

"Good evening! Come in and calm down first." The aged man opened the door wide to let the two in.

While the bearded man sat on a chair and waited for the village chief to sit down, the younger man walked up and down.

"A Dungeon appeared not far from here!" The younger man finally couldn't wait.

When the village chief heard this, he opened his eyes wide.

"What? Is that true? If there truly is a dungeon nearby, we have to inform the Guild! Tell me exactly where it is!"

With that, the young man couldn't be stopped anymore and started to talk nonstop. He told the village chief everything from the beginning and his plans to become rich by becoming an adventurer.

"I will inform the Guild tomorrow morning." The Village Chief said while touching his chin.

In the dungeon, Tom was cheering for a wolf that raced against a Will-o-Wisp.

'Damn it! Who would have thought that Will-o-Wisps are so fast?' Tom thought annoyed.

A whole week had passed since Tom came to this world, and he was already bored. A few days ago, he decided to entertain himself with a few competitions between his monsters. First, he started with skeleton wrestling, but that was a bad idea. The wolves just snatched away all the bones that fell off during the fight making the skeleton wrestlers useless.

Over the week, he gathered a lot of DP from the animals and small monsters the wolves brought back. He now has 750 DP and could buy a new floor, but he put that thought aside first. If he bought a floor for 500 DP, he wouldn't have enough for monsters and a Layout.

Right at the moment when Tom placed himself on his throne, a new window popped up showing three figures entering the Dungeon.

In the front was a short but sturdy man in full armor with a big shield and a hammer, followed by a tall man with a spear. The last one was an elf woman with a bow. They slowly and cautiously marched forward. The first to encounter this group was a Will-o-Wisp, but before the man with the spear could follow it, the small ball of light got bashed away by the Dwarf's shield. The small thing crashed into a tree and went out. Not even caring, they started to continue again.

All the Will-o-Wisps that encountered them just got bashed away; the skeletons just ran in only to get smashed by the Dwarf's hammer; only the Wolves were a small obstacle.

Tom was in panic and flew up and down in his core room.

'Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Damn it! Should i quickly add more monsters? A Boss monster, or maybe add another floor?' Tom thought while looking for a fitting monster, but then he saw that the Adventurers had already reached the stairs.

'Oh, Crap! What kind of Adventurers are they? Why can't it be noobs?' Tom quickly pressed the button for another Floor.

"Is that an earthquake?" The human man asked while he supported himself with his spear.

"No! I believe the dungeon is growing!" The elf replied.

"Hahahaha! I also never experienced it personally, so this is a first for me too!" The dwarf laughed.

'Crap! They already reached the second floor! What should i do? Why didn't the illusions work on them? Can i even fight in this form?' Tom thought as he flew around his core in panic.

"Look! This level is completely empty! So it is true that this is a new Dungeon!" The Dwarf said.

"What should we do now? Head back?" The elf asked.

"That would be the best. The sooner we report, the sooner we can sleep in our beds at the inn!" The Dwarf replied while opening his backpack to get something to drink.

As fast as they came, they left, to Tom's relief.

'Sigh. So they were only here to investigate. That means more will come soon! I have to prepare for that!' Tom couldn't help but sigh in relief.

'3000 DP? Does that mean they were so strong? Fuck! If they wanted to, they could kill me, no matter what i would have placed in their way!' Tom thought in shock.

When there is a new Dungeon, the Adventurer's Guild will send their strongest Adventurers available because you can't be sure! With that, Tom had more than 3000 DP and began to change the second floor. He changed it to a jungle and added slimes and goblins. Then he switched the Floors making the illusion forest the second Floor.
