IT'S OK NOT BE OKAY!

"I think it's because you are the only warlock who can see visions?"

I was dumbfounded. What was I even expecting?

It had been a while and Lucas didn't come down. I was about to go upstairs and check up on them when Asher pulled me back on the couch and said "Don't go up and disturb them. They are already sleeping. And Diana needs Lucas. Among all of us she is only close with him" I couldn't argue with the facts that Asher stated.

But the fact that Lucas and Diana were sleeping together made me angry. Lucas was like a brother to me. He deserved all the happiness. But his presence near Diana made me feel uncomfortable.

*Diana's POV*

I had a good sleep after a long time. I didn't have any nightmares. I slept peacefully.

But I felt a heavy weight on my body. When I turned around I saw Lucas sleeping beside me. Was he the reason I didn't have any nightmares? I turned to his side and was admiring him. I remembered everything he said to me last night. He looked so scared. As if he was afraid to lose me. I kept thinking about him.

I was staring at him when he opened his eyes and said "Am I that handsome? You keep staring at me" I smiled back and said, "Who said you are handsome? You look like a dork in the morning". That was it. He was awake completely. I threw a pillow at him as he was about to attack me and we had a nice pillow fight session.

I fell from the bed and hit my head on the drawer. I was whining. Lucas came near me and was blowing on my forehead. He was so close to me. I kept staring at his sugary lips. His Adam apple was the perfect view. His veiny neck was so attractive to stare at.

He noticed me staring at him and gave me a sly smile. He said, "You are enjoying the view aren't you?" I pushed him back and said, " Go away already!"

I was about to go to the washroom when last night memories flashed back in front of me. I stood there and went downstairs before freshening up. When I reached downstairs. My eyes went soft by the view in front of me. Sebastian, Asher and their two friends were sleeping all together on the sofa.

I freshened up in the downstairs bathroom. It was six-thirty in the morning. I went back to my bedroom and saw Lucas asleep. Since it was pretty early, I let him rest. I was preparing breakfast for the six of us when I heard my phone vibrate.

It was Max. I picked it up. I came to know after talking to him that Lucas and Sebastian told everything that happened last night. On the call he said, " I can't let you stay there alone. I wish I could move in with you but for my work I can',t. Why don't you stay at my place? It's a big place. You will be comfortable here". I was happy that he was concerned but I replied: "I can't Max. You know I love this cottage a lot. I don't care even if it is haunted. I want to stay here". Max knew how stubborn I was. So he said " Fine! But I'll come from time to time to check up on you okay?" With that, I disconnected the call.

I saw Lucas coming down and the others were awake. They looked lost. Cute! They all freshened up and I served breakfast.

They were happy to see the meal! I felt bad. I said "So about last night...I'm sorry! Because of me you all ha…" Jade didn't let me finish my sentence he said " Hey... it's okay you were in danger last night. We just helped you!" I was relieved.

However, Dylan replied "You should be. Why should we worry about you? I mean we aren't even friends!" Lucas and Sebastian looked at him with anger in their eyes. The audacity of that man to say those things to me while eating my handmade breakfast pissed me off.

Lucas was about to say something when I abruptly said, "Nobody asked you to worry about me! Why did you come along with them if you weren't interested in my business?" He gave me a dark stare. I was intimidated but didn't show. I glared back at him.

I got ready for college and was about to leave when Sebastian came near me. He was about to open the door but I flinched. I know it was just my imagination that thought that Sebastian was the one who kidnapped me when he actually didn't do anything. He looked upset but I was still scared of him.

*Sebastian's POV*

We all were leaving. I was about to open the door when I saw Diana flinch. It was painful to see her being scared of me because a few days ago we were all fine.

I opened the door for her and we all left. She was leaving when I stopped her and asked "Where are you going alone?" she replied, " I have to stop somewhere."

"I'll come with you!"

She said "No! I have to go there alone." I got annoyed and said, "Are you serious?" "It's not like any person is chasing after me! Also, I can protect myself, I was just distracted for a few days, but I'm fine now!" She left like that.

"Are you sure she's gonna be okay?" I asked Lucas. Lucas was confused and asked "Where is Diana? I told her I'll drop her." I was in disbelief "I said she left. I also asked her if I can drop her but she left abruptly" Lucas replied " Are you crazy! Even if she wanted to, why'd you leave her alone? What if something happens to her?" Lucas left like that, leaving me alone with my thoughts.

*Author's POV*

Sebastian and the rest of them left for college. Sebastian was frustrated. He wanted to tag along. Lucas didn't go to college. He went to Max's workplace, to look for Diana. But little did everyone know, Diana went to a secret place. She went to a place she loved.

*Diana's POV*

The past few days were really threatening. I wanted a break from everything. I went to a place that gives me peace. And since I joined the club in the college as well I need this stuff.

I went to a shop of Bows and Arrows. I knew this place for a long time. Even when we moved out of town I used to order my Bows and Arrows from here. "Hey, Edmund!" I exclaimed. He was young but a few years older than me. He used to take my order. "So...Is my bow ready?" He showed me my Bow. "ahhh" I squeaked in happiness. I held the Bow and checked the string.

It felt so good to hold this after so long. I haven't practised archery since the day my mother left me. But I need to resume because it's the only thing that makes me happy. And this Bow is really precious to me because every time I used to order a new Bow. My mother used to design it. This was her last design before she died.

After catching up with Edmund. I left for college.

I was able to reach there on time. I joined the class. Lucas noticed me and he clenched his jaw. He wasn't happy. Before leaving I told Lucas I'll let him drop me at that place but I left alone. I was sitting on the front bench and I could feel the dark stares that Lucas was giving me. I shrugged it off and concentrated on the class.

We were given the rest of the day free to prepare for the freshers and Lucas kept ignoring me. I couldn't do anything about it. I don't want anybody to know about that place.

While working I bumped with Sebastian. His looks gave me chills. "Here, take it!" He said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"You have been ignoring me since this morning and to be honest I really don't care. But I was upset. So this is just my apology. I don't know what I did with you. But just accept this."

Even though he was just apologising, why was he so cold? Who apologizes like that?

I accepted the box he gave me and he took off.

I had a lot of work to do so I thought of opening the box once I reached the cottage.

I was about to leave because my work was done when somebody abruptly held my hand and pulled me inside the storeroom. It was Dylan. "What is your problem?" I almost yelled. "YOU! Can't you just leave us alone? I don't want you to be around us. I don't care if you are the guardian or not. I freaking don't care. I don't want my friends to be hurt because of you."

He said pointedly towards me and left. Everything around me is so abnormal these days. Lucas, Sebastian, even Max! They all are so weird. College was over so I left. I went to a clinic. A few days ago when my life was falling apart this was the only solution that came to my mind. Counselling!

The doctor was so decent. She listened to everything I said.

"I think you are just stressed. You lost your only family. Of course, things will be difficult for you now. You need to be independent. About the nightmares, I think it's because of your stress. I'll prescribe you some medicine." "I have one more thing to say"

"Go ahead," she said with a smile.

"Because of the nightmares, I can't sleep. I haven't had a good sleep in a while now. Somehow I was able to sleep peacefully yesterday. But…"

"It's okay, I won't give you any medication for sleep but some fragrance can help you to sleep. You can use lavender or jasmine candles!"

After the session, I came home. It was a tiring day, physically. I plopped myself on the couch and was staring at the roofs. I suddenly remembered the box Sebastian gave me.

I took it out of the bag. The box was dark olive green in colour. It looked new. I opened it and saw a beautiful necklace. I picked it up. It was a plain chain with a circular hanging and it had a dark green gem inside embedded in it. I put it back in the box and saw a small note. I opened it and it said,

"𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺! 𝘐 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘐'𝘮 𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘳𝘺."

I smiled.

*Sebastian's POV*

I saw her smiling. She was smiling at the necklace I gave her. I smiled when suddenly Jade jumped over me. "Hey, be honest with me, you like her don't you?" He asked.

I pushed him and while walking back I said "It's not that I like her. She just seems different from the rest." Jade stopped walking and laughed. I was confused, why was he laughing? "Trust me Sebs, every guy who falls in love says that line" I gave him a look and we were teasing each other on our way back.

*Author's POV*

The week passed by and the day was here. The Masquerade! Throughout the week Samantha troubled Diana for the dress they were supposed to wear.

Diana was so done with Samantha but agreed to everything she asked because they grew close. Samantha wouldn't stop talking about Asher whenever she was with Diana.

Samantha came to the cottage so they could get ready for the masquerade together. Samantha wore a purple strapless gown with black embroidery, it was more like sheer maroon. Her dress was sequined. She wore a glittery mauve mask that covered half of her face. Her misty grey eyes looked absolutely dreamy.

For a person who is synonymous with procrastination, dressing up once in a while is such a task. That's why Samatha bought Diana's gown. When Diana wore the gown, she looked perfect, as if it was solely made for her.

*Sebastian's POV*

Well, I don't like to socialize but I wanted to go to this ball. I was the one who planned half of it. I wanted to keep it simple so I wore a black matt tuxedo with shiny boots. I didn't want to wear a mask but I had to because the theme was a masquerade.

I wore a jet black mask. It had a few feathers. As usual, I looked flawless in it. But I wasn't able to recognise myself. But I can not do anything about it.

We reached the venue, it was our dancing hall. The decorations were perfect, it looked so grand and luxurious, well it had to. I planned it but the flowers were chosen by Diana and Asher.

I just don't like the fact that Diana actually gets along with everyone. I thought she was an introvert. Diana, I wish I could dance with her today. I hope she doesn't recognise me.

Everyone started to gather now. The place was getting crowded. My eyes were only looking for her.

I was drinking a punch. I didn't know why they didn't allow us to have beer at least. I was enjoying my drink when my eyes went to a girl who was wearing a silhouette forest green gown. It was half strapless and was embroidered with flowers. Her skin looked perfect. That dress looked like it was made just for her. Her hair was left open and she looked really pretty. She wore an olive green mask which was glittery. Her gaze was so strong, her lips were shaded nude. I wanted to know her when I saw something really familiar on her neck. It was the necklace I gave Diana. That's when reality struck me. It was her, Diana!

But she was with someone else. She was grinning ear to ear from happiness. I clenched my jaw in anger and the glass broke. I was bleeding. I went to the medical room and got it aided.

I was only thinking about her. A smile crept on my face thinking about how she wore the necklace gave her. When I came out I saw two people kissing "Get yourself a room," I said to myself and smirked. It was dark so I was not able to see who they were but the figure looked so familiar I went near to get a clear view, it was Diana and...
