11 ALL THE THINGS WE SEE, ARE NOT ALWAYS REAL...

That person took me somewhere. I was crying out for help but that person closed my mouth with his hands. I couldn't see anything. I was terrified. Suddenly that person hit my head on the wall and I fainted. After a few hours I woke up to an unknown place, it was an abandoned house in the forest. My hands were tied backwards and there was tape on my mouth which refrained me from speaking. My head was hurting. I had a sharp pain. I felt like crying my eyes out. I was looking around to find a way to escape but there was nothing. I saw a man coming inside the house. He was the person who was following me. I couldn't see him, I was only able to see his back. But I was startled when I saw who the person was, it was ...Sebastian!

*Sebastian's POV*

Two lectures were already over. Diana didn't come to college today. But why? She was supposed to give us ideas for the ball. Also, I wanted to see her. We had our break when Asher said "Where is that girl? The one who gave us the spectacular idea for the ball." Lucas replied " Her name is Diana! Also, I don't know why she didn't come to college today. I mean she loves to study. And also this is our second day!" I could make out from Lucas's tone that he was worried for her. They had something among them. Our break was soon over and we continued to go to our classes.

While the professor was teaching us I kept thinking about her. I called her a few times between classes but she didn't pick up! I was starting to get worried. I and Lucas kept talking which disturbed the professor. He kicked us out of the class. Perfect! I asked Lucas to call Diana because maybe she was screening my calls as we weren't on good terms for now. Lucas called her.

*Lucas's POV*

I kept calling Diana but she didn't pick up. I was genuinely getting worried. Did something happen to her? We were about to leave when the bell rang indicating the class was over. The professor came out and said "You both! Sebastian and Lucas. Go to the library and write an essay on today's topic!" We both groaned because of frustration, we tried to speak up but she left. I told Sebastian "You might be a warlock but you are still weak! I don't want any harm on you! So stay here and write the essays for both of us. I'll go and see if Diana is doing ok or not! Okay?" Sebastian replied "As if I would agree! I won't stay here you stay. Bye, mate! " With that, he ran away. There was no way I could stop him.

*Sebastians's POV*

I know Lucas and Diana are best of friends but I was concerned for her and she was the key. A key to something even which I didn't know about. It was almost four pm and I had no idea where Diana was. I got more worried when I saw the dark clouds. I went to her cottage at last and she wasn't there. I was getting anxious.

*Diana's POV*

I couldn't believe what my eyes were just witnessing. Why would he do such a cruel thing? Kidnapping me? He came near me and said "Hey princess! Looks like you're in pain! Are you okay sweetie?" Sebastian wasn't like this. He was dark but not this dark. The person in front of me was more like a monster.

He took the tape from my mouth harshly. I was breathing heavily as I said "Are you crazy? Why are you doing this to me?" He came closer to me and said "Because I don't like you! I don't like how you are so good! And … above all, you are the guardian! I cannot let you live. Because if you live, demons like me cannot come to this mundane realm and eat your souls."

He moved back, he was walking back and forth and complained," No like see! Demons like us cannot come to this realm, but when your mother died the spell broke! The next guardian wasn't made, so we could escape the nasty meta ta physika that is only ruled by angels. We were hungry! We came out and fed on human souls. And I'm enjoying my life here! So I don't want you to become a guardian and then again prison us in the down world of meta ta physika!"

I wasn't able to understand a single thing he was trying to say. All I was thinking was how can Sebastian do this to me? He came closer to me with a knife and stabbed my shoulder. I screamed as loud as possible. The pain was unbearable. Blood kept flowing from my shoulder. Later he locked my legs with a circular thing that had blades in it. He tightened it. My legs were bleeding now. I was crying out of pain. I couldn't bear it at all. He untied my hands and picked me up and put me inside a bathtub. My hands were locked to the tap, he opened the tap and the water was filling the tub. He laughed at me and left.

I wanted somebody to come out of nowhere and save me from this misery. I wanted all this to be over.

*Sebastian's POV*

I called Lucas, he was done with college. Lucas came along with Asher, Jade & Dylan. I asked Dylan to look through the whole forest since he was a vampire, it would be an easy task for him. Asher helped Jade to find Diana. Jade was a Kitsune so his senses were stronger than any other creature.

Lucas and I were looking for Diana near the cottage area when I suddenly felt a pain near my shoulder and feet as if somebody stabbed them. I groaned in pain. Lucas got worried. My eyes turned golden and I saw a vision. Diana was inside a tub and the water was on. The tub was full of bloody water. She looked barely alive, she looked lifeless. I saw a small abandoned house where she was. Lucas knew I was seeing a vision. He asked me, "What is the vision about?" "Diana. She is in the abandoned house. I know where it is."

We went to the abandoned house but we weren't able to see it. I was confused how was this possible? That day it was right here. Asher, Jade and Dylan came. Lucas shouted at me "It is not the time for playing jokes, Sebastian!" I screamed back " I swear, a house was there!"

Asher came in between us and silenced us "Guys...Shh... I can feel something, Sebastian, can't you?" Everyone else was confused about what he was talking about. As he pointed out, even I got a tingly and a negative feeling. Asher said " I can feel the presence of magic here. Something is keeping the house hidden. Everybody move back." We did as he said. He looked down on the ground and saw ash.

"Somebody has cast black magic here. Hah! Not on my watch" He took out his seven knives. The knives that fairies carry and throw them in seven directions. The house was visible now. But now again we couldn't enter! The house was sealed with Mountain Ash. No supernatural creature could cross that border. The sun was already down and the clouds were thundering.

*Diana's POV*

I was feeling lifeless, the water was filling the tub. Sebastian came in again and tightened the locks on my legs. I shouted my lungs out and cried! He gave me a smirk and left. I was a crying mess. I saw some birds come in, they were chirping, but I was able to understand them. They were telling me to stop imagining things but what was I imagining?

*Asher's POV*

Something didn't seem right. Even though this place was full of negative energy I couldn't feel any presence of Diana. When I met her in college, I could feel her as she was half-blood, but I couldn't feel anything here. I asked Lucas and Sebastian, "Are you sure you checked all the places where we could find Diana?" They said in unison "YES!" " Did you check inside her house? I don't think she is here. If she was, I would have felt it. Also since the day Diana came, she has been in danger. Maybe she is imagining stuff now or maybe she thinks she is in danger when she is not!"

Sebastian got annoyed and yelled "I SAW A DAMN VISION OF HER ASHER. SHE WAS IN THIS HOUSE!" I yelled back "If you don't want to believe me! Fine don't! But if something happens to Diana. Remember it will be your fault!"

*Diana's POV*

I saw Sebastian come in again and the birds were trying to tell me to escape from the locks I had on my hands and legs. I was scared because if I did, I would die, but I took my chances and pulled out my hands and legs and from the locks. I was bleeding non stop now. I stood with all the energy I had and I felt immense power inside me somehow.

There was a knife beside me. I took the knife and stabbed him! He became a black smoke and made weird noises and faded in the air. I felt really powerful at that moment. There was a broken mirror beside me and I saw myself. My eyes were glowing in ocean blue and my hair turned to silver. As soon as I touched my reflection in the mirror, water was coming out of my mouth. I was choking. As if my lungs were full of water.

*Lucas's POV*

I believed what Asher said and ran to the cottage again, leaving everyone behind. I went inside the house and looked for her everywhere. I checked her bedroom, her bathroom was open and I saw Diana in the bathtub! I took her out, she was unconscious. I called Asher and told him and the guys to hurry here. I checked if she was breathing, she was barely breathing, I checked her pulse and it was low. I did CPR on her. She coughed water. Black smoke came out from her mouth and left but I couldn't care less. She was finally awake! She looked at me and was terrified.

*Sebastian's POV*

I was shocked when Lucas called Asher and told him Diana was at her cottage. We all went to Diana's cottage. We all saw a cloud of black smoke. It was a Phantom Mirage. A mirage was a demon who gave illusions to humans simply about water. Illusions would seem so real but they don't exist! Asher was pissed off to see the demon. He hated black magic and demons.

*Asher's POV*

I was so pissed to see the demon roaming freely in the human realm. "Not again!" He was about to attack us when Jade and Dylan, who have the fastest speed, went towards the demon. Jade took out his claws and Dylan his whip. They both bashed him and I gave him my final fairy dust blow. He died.

*Diana's POV*

I felt death. I felt like I was dying when suddenly I coughed up water. I was alive and awake! I saw Lucas. He saved me! I was terrified as I said " I think I'm going crazy. I'm seeing things. I almost died. What is happening to me?" I cried as Lucas hugged me and said "Shh no you are not crazy. You are just in the wrong place, it's ok! Calm down, I'm here. I told you right, I'll never leave your side." I felt at ease as he hugged me. I held onto him tight.

*Author's POV*

Sebastian and the rest of them came into Diana's room and saw her hugging Lucas. Sebastian felt guilty for not believing Asher. Diana didn't know why these things were happening to her. Angels from above have Diana the permission to become a Guardian. But if nobody tells her what all this means. How was she supposed to gain her powers? She needed the three pearls of Guardian to gain her powers.

Lucas asked Asher to help Diana sleep. Asher went to her room, she was half asleep but was frightened in her sleep. Her forehead was scrunched. Asher sprayed his fairy dust and she slept peacefully. Lucas didn't leave her side. He cuddled Diana to sleep.

Asher checked the room before leaving and smiled at the view.

Asher came downstairs. Sebastian, Jade and Dylan were already there. He sat beside Sebastian and said "Seb's, I know it's hard for you to trust people in these situations but one shouldn't be too emotional during these times of crisis. Look what happened! Just imagine what would've happened if Lucas wouldn't have reached on time!" Sebastian understood what Asher said and agreed.

*Jade's POV*

I couldn't understand what was going on! I asked Asher out of annoyance "If the girl, whatever she is, yea... Diana is the Guardian of both realms. Why can't she protect herself? I mean Guardians are strong enough to save themselves! " Asher calmly replied "That's because she doesn't have the three pearls! " "What?" "To gain their powers, Guardians need three pearls. Whenever a new guardian is born, three pearls ...that the first guardian made, need to be gained. One pearl always gets misplaced when the Guardian is born. It's the task of the Guardian to find the third pearl." I have my fox gem. A single gem haunts me and she needs three! I hope she gets it!"

*Sebastian's POV*

I listened to what Asher said carefully. We need to find a pearl for her to gain her powers! I groaned in pain "Ahh" Dylan looked worried and asked "What happened? Are you okay?" I remembered the places where I felt pain were the same places where Diana was stabbed. I looked at Asher and said " In the vision, I saw Diana in a bathtub full of bloody water. It was her imagination in my illusion but why… ahh...am I feeling her pain? She was stabbed on her shoulder and her hands and legs were locked and bleeding. But I'm feeling the same pain she felt. Why? ".
