1 Jack Mayhem

Central City, year 2013.

A little outside the center of the city, on top of a big building is a beautiful swimming pool glowing in the night, a guy is seen swimming in it like fish before surfacing and looking at the cloudy sky.

"It seems it will rain just like in the plot." he said before getting out of the pool, he dried himself with a towel before draping it over his shoulder and making his way to an elevator which took him down to his big luxurious apartment just right underneath the pool.

He took a shower, then dressed up in casual clothes before pouring himself a glass of wine and turning on the TV.

"Thank you. My name is Harrison Wells, tonight the future begins, the work my team and i will do here, will change our understanding of physics. It will bring about advancements to power, advancements in medicine, and trust me, that future will be here faster than you think."

While making his way to the balcony he listened to the tv.

"So it's been eight years huh? I've been looking forward to this day hehe..." smiling he looked at the huge S.T.A.R Labs in the distance with expectations.

"But still. I never thought i would be reincarnated to the flash world, even though i only watched 5 episodes of the show. But i think this will make it more fun hehe.."

As you all probably guessed this is our protagonist, his name is Jack Mayhem, he got reincarnated to this world eight years ago when he was eighteen years old, and now he's 26.

When Jack first got here eight years ago, he woke up confused in a small apartment before he heard a "ding", "Super speed system loading...".

"Error... error..., requirement not met, starting protocol B. Please ask host to complete the requirement."

"Requirement: Getting exposed to the energy waves of the particle accelerator eight years later."

"System shutting down..."

And that's all he heard from the System after it gave him the condition and some necessary things like an identity card and some money to start life in this brand new world .

The first thing Jack did after understanding his situation is to check his new body, and he found a pleasant surprise, he became a tall and super handsome guy with short black hair and a pair of sharp blue eyes, and adding to his already excited heart, he found that he has a photographic memory, so he remembers all the things he saw or heard in his past life.

After that Jack started making money in preparation for what's to come which was pretty easy with his memories of his past life, after all this world is like his original world with just a few changes.

First he made his first pot of gold by writing some famous books like "Harry Potter", then he started making some songs and singing them with his natural voice that gave him a little surprise when he first found out about it, and his songs and books instantly brought him a lot of fame in this world, then while doing all this, he invested and brought a lot of shares of some big and famous companies in his past life which were just starting out in this world.

And that's how our protagonist Jack lived his life these past few years.

"Haah...it was really a fun eight years." sighed Jack while taking a sip of wine, before looking at the S.T.A.R Labs with an excited and impatient look.

"But the real fun is just beginning, i can't wait for this thing to explode."

After an hour. Jack felt a tremor then he heard a huge explosion before getting up from his comfy rocking chair and looking into the distance, there he saw a big explosion happened in S.T.A.R labs that created a storm cloud and sent a massive energy wave which began to course through the whole city.

"Aah...finally this thing exploded, i almost went there and blew up the whole thing myself!."

Jack looked at the coming tidal wave excitedly before closing his eyes and readying himself for the possible impact, he already ordered his bodyguards to close the whole building and prepare for anything that might happen.

After the energy wave reached Jack, he only felt a breeze and nothing else, opening his eyes he saw that all the energy that he came into contact with got sucked quickly to his body, but the strange thing is he didn't feel anything different in himself, he was confused for while before he heard a "ding" sound in his head.

"Congratulations to host, you have met the requirement to start the system."

"10...40...70...100, the Super Speed System is launched successfully."

"Congratulations host, a starting pack has been issued in the inventory."

Jack was dazed for while before he laughed wildly with excitement.

"HAHAHA..., finally, I've been waiting for this for a long time. System introduce your functions, i hope it's as i guessed from the name."

"As you wish host. This System is a Speed upgrade one, it will help the host in becoming the strongest and fastest being in the whole multi-verse. The host can upgrade his level and his speed will become faster, with each level the speed increases by ten times but so does the experience needed, and with each level you'll get three auxiliary rewards that could range from abilities to items. the System also has the function to check your status by thinking about it"

"Hehe, just like i thought, it's a speedsters system, oh man this is going to be so much fun. Speed is my favorite power, it makes you feel so free, after all as they say in martial arts, only Speed is invincible."

Jack was very happy right now, first he got reincarnated into an interesting world then he got a buggy system and ability.

"Okay, now let's check that gift pack." Jack called out in his mind: 'Status'.

"Name: Jack Mayhem

Abilities: none

Inventory: starter pack."

'hmm, it's a very simple status window, and looking at the inventory it seems to function just like in a game' Jack thought while touching his chin, after that he instructed the system like gambling addict: "Hehe, now let's see what's in my lovely gift pack. System, open the starter pack."

The pack in the inventory started to glow before it reached the limit and exploded, revealing three colorful lights, two of them submerged in Jack's body, and the other one stayed in the inventory before turning into a smart watch.

System: "congratulations host, you gained the ability <immortal: you will never age and never die, and you have infinite vitality and stamina.>"

Jack never thought the first reward will be this buggy, he felt full of vitality and relaxed like never before, even his face became a little more handsome: "it seems that I'll become a very cheating speedster.".

The system continued: "congratulations host, you gained the ability <protective aura: a force field that can protect you or others from harm.>"

Jack felt an invisible force coating his whole body like another layer of skin, he took a knife from the kitchen and swung it at his arm, then he heard an ear piercing sound, the knife made some sparks on his arm before it broke in half, and his arm was unharmed without any scratches. Jack smiled at this scene: "this looks a lot like superman's force field, which is very convenient, i don't want my clothes to set on fire when i run.".

The system with its usual robotic voice: "congratulations host, you gained the item <Speedster's suite: it's a costume fit for running at high speeds made from nanoparticles composed of the same formula used in making Captain America's shield, it's almost indestructible. It's also equipped with an AI that is the same level as Jarvis, and a lot of other functions waiting to be discovered. When it's not used it turns into a smart watch that can be worn on your hand>"

"Haha...that's awesome!" Jack became very excited after hearing what the system said, after all who hasn't dreamt of having his own cool superhero armor, especially when it's equipped with your own butler.

Jack took out the smart watch from the inventory and wore it on his left arm, then he looked at it with anticipation before he saw a virtual image of a very beautiful girl's face popping out of the watch.

The girl said with calm smile: "hello sir, I'm your assistant AI, can i be of service?".

Jack was a little surprised: "oh, so my AI is a beautiful female huh?".

AI: "no sir, i can change my image and voice to anything you like, i just saw your preferences in the internet so i created this face and voice. if you want i can change it to a man."

"No, i like it this way, i don't want to always talk to a man." after jack finished speaking he took the bottle of wine and poured himself a glass before taking a sip, even though his immortal physique makes him immune to alcohol, he still likes the taste.

Jack said while making himself comfortable on the couch: " so what's your name?".

AI: "i don't have one sir."

Jack: "hmm..., from now on I'll call you Lucy."

Lucy: "as you say sir. and sir you can communicate with me through your mind, because I'm connected to your brain through the watch."

"Oh! that's convenient" Jack smiled before asking: "so how can i change into the suite, is there some kind of instructions manual?"

Lucy: "yes there is, if you allow me sir i can install it in your brain."

"Okay, do it!" ordered Jack before he felt a lump of information injected to his brain, he had a headache for an instant before it went away, after that he coursed through the whole instructions: 'hmmm, so that's how it is. i never thought the suit had this many functions, this is getting better and better!'.

Lucy: "sir, are there any other orders?"

Jack snapped out of his thoughts after hearing this: "umm, yes, Lucy take control of the whole building's security and strengthen it if you can, I'll alert the guards to follow your orders." after saying that he began to make some calls to his subordinates and instructing them to treat Lucy's orders as his.

Lucy: "okay sir it's done, all the security in the building is under my control, and tomorrow I'll start strengthening the security for every possible situation."

"Good, now let's go test my speed and the armor, oh and by the way close the television." after that Jack made his way to the elevator while the tv shut off instantly.

After Jack entered the elevator he didn't touch any button but ordered: "Lucy. Take me to the secret basement."

Lucy: "as you wish sir." then the elevator started descending and the numbers on top of the door began decreasing one by one, even after they reached zero they still didn't stop until it became "-10", then the elevator door opened revealing a huge open space the size of two football fields, the space was empty except for the source of light.

"Hehe, finally this place came in handy." while chuckling to himself, Jack made his way to the center of the basement.

Jack built this place secretly in these past few years as a base for his training and also as a way of escaping if possible, there is a tunnel leading to outside the city on the other end of the space.

After reaching the center, before he began his test, Jack remembered something: "uh yes, i almost forgot. System, how can i get experience points to level up?"

System: "back to the host. There are two ways to gain experience. the first method is by training, the harder and more difficult the training, the faster and more points you get. And the second method is by defeating your opponents, the stronger the opponent the more experience points you gain, and remember host, you can only gain points from the same opponent once a month and the more times you do it the less you get, and also you can't gain any experience from ordinary people."

'okay, that's simple enough.' Jack while doing some stretches : "now let's see how it feels to run at mach 1!"

Jack concentrated his thoughts and felt his brain active like never before and time around him became slow, after making a standard running pose, he looked ahead and then "whoosh" he took off, one second he was in the center the other he was near the wall, then he started running around the field getting faster and faster until he reached his limit mach 1 and become only a blur to the normal eyes. He looked a lot like flash but without the lightning, after all he didn't get his speed from the speed force, he only got pure speed, UNLIMITED SPEED.

"HAHAHA..., THIS IS SO FREAKING COOOOL!!" Jack was laughing excitedly, he never experienced this intense thrill that is coursing through his whole body right now, Jack felt an overwhelming sense of freedom now, a feeling of limitless possibilities, it gave him a feeling of invincibility. He wondered while running: 'i really can't understand how the flash gets beaten up all the time with this kind of speed.'

After almost 30 minutes, Jack had enough fun of the exhilarating feeling of being fast and stopped in his previous position with a satisfied smile: "that was awesome! Now let's check out my armor." Jack gave an order to Lucy in his mind, then the watch started to break down into small nanoparticles and began expanding to cover his whole body before self-assembling into an armor.

The armor was completely black with a little starlight in the chest area and the goggles that covered the eyes were glowing blue, it fits Jack's body perfectly and covered him completely except the lower half of his face.

"Man this is handsome!" Jack was amazed with his new look, his goggles were showing him his body and armor conditions and the energy shows that it's infinite because it extracts it from his body.

Jack: "Now, let's start the training, Lucy increase my body's gravity to my current acceptable limit."

Lucy: "okay sir."

After that Jack felt a sense of heaviness growing on his body until it almost made him kneel befor it stopped, this was another function of the armor that helps in training the user.

Jack sweating a little, started running but at a much slower speed than before : "i still have 9 months until the plot begins, so i have to to use this time to level up."
