Chapter 1: The rise

I woke up in my room to see below something horrific. Dozens of people, or so they were, found dancing until they collapse and killed by exhaustion. They look mutated by some sort of chemical that must have gone through the atmosphere. And by the looks of it, it's contagious.

I went downstairs to see how my friends were doing, and I sighed in relief as I saw they were fine and not affected by what I can only call as an epidemic of a disease.

We discussed what we thought was happening outside in my bedroom. I told them what I observed going on outside through the window of my bedroom. My best friend Ace, my best friend since kindergarten, reassured me that everything would be fine and that we should take advantage of this moment since I started bursting to tears. I asked what happened last night and Ace said " Eve, you were the first one to black out ". My other friends Ray, Jake, Joe, Mark, Mike, Dustin, Jane, Shane, Mia and Mary.

Mary told me that amidst the party she noticed that in the window there was something glowing unnaturally from the sky and looked like a shooting star but she felt like it wasn't. They all agreed with her because she told them to come and see it in her phone since she captured it. I knew that whatever was happening out there I'd only just the beginning.
