17 Extra 6

Cyrus wakes up one morning to the first snow. His eyes flutter open, and he heads downstairs to whip up some hot cocoa. He simmer the milk, and he adds some of the fresh chocolate that Helios had delivered to them earlier. The savoring smell of chocolate floats through the air, and Crecylla wakes almost immediately.

"Good morning sunshine" She mumbles half asleep.

"Good morning moonlight" Cyrus hands her a cup of fresh cocoa.

Crecylla smiles as a thank you, and Cyrus motions for her to sit in his lap. She settles in his lap, and she giggles to herself.

"Do you think we would've ended up together if we didn't meet back then?" Crecylla mumbles.

Cyrus blinks gently. Then he talks about when he first met her. He talks about how captivating her eyes were, and how inviting her voice was. Her voice reminded him of an ocean, holding both depth, beauty, and danger. He chuckles when Crecylla blinks in confusion. He continues on how her eyes reflected the stars. The prettiest of stars in an empty night sky. He talks about how despite the fact that her lips are cold, they feel amazing to kiss. He jokes that he has more than enough body warmth to supply for them.

Crecylla snickers when he mentions that he has more than enough body warmth. Her body was naturally cold, and it was wonderful when it was summer. She shushes him with a finger to his lips, and she starts her rambles. She talks about how his body was always warm on a cold winter's day, and how he always made space for her on a bench. She talks about how her body fit into his perfectly, and she talks about how he always woke up early to make them tea. She talks about how he always makes sure that she was comfy in bed before going to sleep, how he always kissed her good morning, and how his voice was always as clean as a clear sky.

Cyrus cuts her off with a soft hush, and he talks about how she never failed to wake up despite their comfortable bed. He tells her how much he loved seeing her first thing in the morning, hair all messed up, and puffy eyes. He squishes her cheeks, and he stares her in the eyes. She talks about how hard working she was, and how amazing it was that she was able to tend to so many plants in a day. He talks about how whenever he came home from the field, she would always be finished with dinner, hot and ready, waiting for him at the table. He talks about how every night when he gets slightly anxious, she always rubs a hand soothingly on his back. He talks about how despite all that he had done to her, she had still decided to stay with him. He holds her close, and he reminds her that he was elated when she had agreed to his proposal back then.

"Do you still remember it?" Cyrus hums, his hands trace Crecylla's much smaller ones.

"Yeah. I do" Crecylla smiles to herself.

The day had been clear, and it had been a chilly fall night. The two were at the creek, and Cyrus had just finished helping Crecylla dry up. Crecylla had been busy fixing up her hair, and Cyrus had thought it was the perfect time to propose to her. He pockets the ring out, and he got down on one knee. Crecylla's look of confusion when he got down was special, she looked confused, and when she asked "Aren't we already married?" he had to suppress the urge to laugh.

"This time it's from my heart love" he had told her. She cried on the spot, and when he finished asking, she leapt into his arms, and nearly caused the ring to fly off. Of course she remembered. She had been so happy, she couldn't even begin to describe her joy. Her fingers trace over her ring gently, and Cyrus kisses the ring on her finger. It was so cheesy yet so gentle.

Crecylla giggles when she remembers her way out of the castle. She talks about how lost she was, and she talks about how hard it was to get out of the castle. She reminisces about how Sirius had found her in the passageways, and had helped her escape. Cyrus scoffs when he hears that his best friend had helped her out, but he forgives him since she had ended up with him anyways.

Cyrus recalls a meeting with Selene after Luna had rose to the throne. He remembers how Selene and Cyra were ready to throw hands at any point. Selene had been given title of general, but had been kicked shortly after Cyrus had visited their kingdom. He recalls how Helios and Luna were introduced, and how they had probably fallen in love first thing.

Crecylla snickers when he mentions the two. She mentions how in one of Luna's letters that Sirius had delivered to her, she mentioned how she might've been in love with Helios. She talked about his mannerisms in details, and how she really admired him. Luna had mentioned that despite the fact that Helios was kind of childish, he was really happy and she kind of needed that.

Crecylla laughs when her thought process is interrupted by the knocking on the door. She wiggles out of Cyrus' grasp, and then decides to stretch really quickly. She kicks her limbs out, and she opens the door to check if they had any mail. She got dressed into a warmer outfit, and she would start shoveling the snow outside. Cyrus finishes his cocoa, and he dressed quick to walk out to help her. The first snow had always been special to them. He couldn't wait for the ones to come.

So while the crystal snowflakes flutter through the air, the empires all take a break. Luna and Helios chat by the fireplace, and Helios talks about his adventures with his brother. Blossom and her boyfriend build a snowman, and they engage in a violent snowball fight. Crecylla jumps into the pile of snow she and Cyrus had just made, and Cyrus scurries to make sure she wasn't cold. The first snow was different to everyone, but the person you spend your first snow with would always be special to you.
