3 3 Confession

After two years, Yuto achieves his dream becoming a doctor, but somehow he feels like something's missing.

One day, he gets off of work, instead of going home, he pays a little visit to his doctor. "Hi." "Ah Yuto." "How are you?" "I'm good. What brings you here?" "Well, it's been two years and I haven't had the chance to ask you. Who's my donor?"

The doctor's smile fades. "Ah...your donor." He looks away. "What is it?" "I'm sorry Yuto." The doctor looks at Yuto, "I promise her that I won't say anything."

The doctor continues, "she's very a young lady with a good heart. She's willing to give up her eyes for you. I cannot tell you who she is. I'm sorry." "Thank you."

Yuto left the hospital and heads home. Maria was sitting in the sofa, waiting for him. He comes home. "Maria." He smiles but fades.

He notices somethings off. He walks up to her. "What's wrong, Maria?" She looks up at him then looks down. He sits down next to her and puts his hand on top of hers.

"Maria." She bit her bottom lip. "Tell me what's wrong." "Yuto." She looks at him. "Let's divorce." He was shocked. She continues, "I can't do it anymore." "Maria." "I'm not the Maria who support you when you lost your sight." "What?"

Maria stands up and walks back and forth. Her eyes met his. "I was a coward, Yuto. I didn't have the confidence to live with you then. The one who supported you, the one who always by your side is not me. It's Ayame."

Maria shed tears. "I didn't...I didn't want to deceive you, Yuto, but she went on her knees and begs me. She begs me to act nothing is wrong, because it has to be me."

Yuto stands up and head to the room. Maria fell on her knees, crying. "Sorry, Ayame. I can't. I can't do it anymore."

Yuto closes the door and slumped down. "It was...Ayame. She's been supporting me all this time. It's...not Maria." He looks back and notices how she acts on the wedding day. "No...way..."

He heads out of the room. "Is she....my donor?" Maria looks up. "Ayame....she gave me her eyes, didn't she?" "What?" Yuto judges by Maria's eyes. (She doesn't know.)

Maria casts her eyes down and thinks about it. "Before the wedding, she's always in her room. On the wedding day, she came with her friend, Lily." "Where's Ayame?" "I don't know. She calls me sometimes. I tried to call her but she won't answer."

Yuto bends down. "Maria." She looks at him. "I won't hate you. But I thank you for telling me." She sadly smiles. "Ayame is more suited for you, Yuto. Please find her and tell her how you feel. I'm sorry. I will let my parents know about this situation." "Thank you."

Next day, they went to sign a divorce papers. They remain in good terms as friends. Yuto went to look for Ayame's friend, Lily, while Maria went to visit her parents.
