chapter one : Birthday party

Angelica jolted awake to find Edward her childhood friend sitting by her bedside and staring at her

" Hey why are you here," she asked

" Good morning Angelica " he greeted

" answer my question why are you in my room or are you planning to rape me " she teased

" hmmm --- if I wanted to I wouldn't have waited for you to wake up " he replied

" then why are you here," she asked again

" it's a surprise just follow me " he whispered

" follow you to where " she argued

" just be a good girl and follow me," he said

he took her to the living room surprisingly it was still dark

" why is the room dark where is everyone," she asked

Guess !!! he said

" Stop it I can't guess " she shouted

seeing this Edward scraped his hand against the wall and switched the lights on.

the room lit up and a crowd of twenty people or so jumped out shouting surprised

Angelica looked around and was shocked to see their once dull living room looking like a ballroom

she came back from her stupor when her best friend prissy hugged her and wished her a happy birthday

soon everyone in the room threw themselves into singing Happy birthday

then her younger sister little prissy approached her and said

" Happy birthday sister this is my gift for you I hope you like it " she gave Angelica a little box and hugged her

" thank you," Angelica said

one by one everyone in the room gave her their gifts

Edward appeared with a trolley with the cake in it he placed the cake on the decorated table

Angelica was astonished when she saw the huge birthday cake it was covered in thick white icing and decorated with tiny pink roses and twenty-five candles of different colors were lit around the cake

Angelica was so happy that tears streamed down her face

when her mother saw this she pulled her into a tight hug

" Angelica darling don't cry you deserve this " she reassured
