19 Chapter 19

...

"Hey. Are you sure you're okay with those people watching?" I asked.

Rania looked at the crowds, and decided not to bother about them.

"Oh! I think I need to let go now since your little princess is on her way to you" said Rania, letting her hug.

"Sister!!!"

Asha then ran to my way with her beautiful dress. I catched her and lifted her on my arm.

"Asha. A lady shouldn't be running with her dress, okay? You might trip and fall" I said, fixing her hair.

"Yes, Sis!!"

That smile, cute.

Soon after, Dad and Mom, along with my little brother came to me.

"You look really amazing, my dear Llie. Even your brother says so, fufufu" said Mom.

"Mother!!" said Leiron.

Leiron Arka Isvara. The top-class student at the Imperial Academy since his first year. He's now in his second year, the time where the student is focused on their magic and battle skills. His look is stunningly handsome. With his intelligence in addition

, he is what you would call, the symbol of a perfect nobleman in this empire.

In society, all of the nobles looked down on me just because I'm not attending academy even though my brother did. But, I don't even care about them. I mean, I was the one who taught my brother before he went to the academy.

"How's your life in the academy? Any interesting stuff?" I asked.

I asked this question to trigger something from the nobles. It's worth watching their expressions. Leiron quickly grasped my intention. He then let out a heavy sigh. I already knew he would definitely follow me.

"Nothing much. It's more challenging when I was tutored by you, Sis" he said, shrugging his hair.

As expected, the nobles showed their can't-believe-it expressions.

"T-that Young Master Leiron was tutored by Lady Denallie?!"

Well, what a nice thing. I looked at Leiron, and he's showing it on his face that he won't do something like this again.

"Stop teasing them, Llie. Even your mother keep it in moderation doi-?!"

Mom pinched Dad's side.

"Dear~ I hope you're not saying something silly in front of the kids, okay~?" said Mom, smiling 'beautifully'.

Me, Asha, and Leiron then laughed a little looking at them. We then talked about many things after. Starting from business, my wellbeing, how's dukedom been going lately, and many other things.

"Countess Rebecca Falguni has arrived!!!"

All the nobles's attention shifted towards her. Her influence, to be exact. But, I'm sure they'll be more shocked to see who was the person to be her escort.

"That's?!"

"Dame Maya? That failure knight!?"

Maya Andhira, she was once an Imperial Knight. She was deemed as a failure, only because of her lack of mana, and to top it off, she's a commoner. But, they don't know, that she's much more different than her old self.

"Oh my! Such a pleasure to have met you here, Lady Llie"

Hearing her familiar greeting towards me brought all of the nobles shocked.

"Stop it, Becca. Be your usual self. And, you can take off your mask"

Rebecca then smiled.

"Okay, then"

Rebecca took off her mask, and handed it over to Maya. Some of the nobles that recognized her face showed an expression worth seeing. Especially, Earl Erryia.

"It's hard to see anything with the mask on, you know?"

Earl Erryia hurriedly approached Rebecca. As he tried to grab her, Maya stopped him.

"Stop, Earl Erryia"

"She's my daughter!! Let go of me!!"

Maya then let out a menacing aura.

"You now have no right to call her your daughter. It is stated in the law, once you sever ties with one of family members, you can't meddle in their business. Your relationship is that of a stranger"

"GET OFF!!"

Maya let go of his hand. She stood up between Rebecca and him.

"Earl Erryia. I am the fiancé of Countess Rebecca Falguni. It is my duty to protect her. If you decide to take things much further, I hope you won't mind me taking necessary action towards you"

The Earl, can only gritted his teeth and left embarrassingly. Maya couldn't care less about every nobles's eyes now. She quickly turned to Rebecca.

"Are you okay, dear? Should we go home?" said Maya, panickly.

Rebecca, smiled at her. She put her hand on Maya's face.

"It's fine, honey. Look here, your suit is a bit messy now. Though, thank you"

They're in their own world now, huh.

After some commotion, more important figures arrived. The ambassadors from each country and continents, Magic Tower, Knight Academy, Imperial Academy, even the Adventurer Guild too.

They only talked about small things. No wonder, since they'll only open their cards after the banquet hall is opened.

"To the esteemed guests! The Imperial Banquet Hall, will be opened!!!"

Finally, they opened the hall. Inside the hall, there are three tables. Meaning that right now, there are three forces that exist in the empire. In the middle, the Emperor, left to it, the Crown Prince, Second Prince, and three Princesses. Lastly, the Empress, the Fourth Princess, and Dinesh.

Of course, most of the nobles gathered either on the Emperor's, or the Princes. The Empress didn't mind about something like this. As long as she can be together with her daughter, then that's good.

"I think we should take a seat now" said Mom.

The Isvara, maintaining their neutrality by taking a seat at each table. But now, they're already decided on where to sit.

"T-the Isvaras?!"

All of the nobles present, surprised by this sudden move of us. Even the Empress does not expect things to be like this.

"Hello, Dinesh" I said, waving my hand.

Dinesh remained calm knowing our actions were intentional, and waved back.

After us, Rebecca, and some ambassadors joined us. They were from the adventurers, Eastern, Western, and Central continent.

It was the Central's who initiated the talk.

"I am very thankful for what you did to us, Lady Denallie. Without your acquaintances, our continent would face more casualties"

That's right. For the past two years, I gathered many potential adventurers and nurtured them. Then, I gave them a task to aid the Central to push back the demons, and recovered many lands. It is said in the report they gave me that almost 80 percent of the continent has been recovered. It won't be long until I join them in the future.

"It is my duty, sir. Besides, there's something that I, and my mother wanted to do after the Central was fully recovered" I said.

Mom understood my intention. She then gave a look to the Empress. Signaling for her to take action.

"May I ask what your intention is, Lady Denallie?" asked her.

With this, we picked other nobles' attention.

"I must apologize to you, Your Majesty. It is not something we can talk about on this joyous occasion. However, I promised on my name that I will fulfill your order" I asked, lowering my head a little.

The Empress, a bit bewildered by my action.

"Don't worry. I will invite you later to ask the question again, Lady Denallie"

Done. This will make sure that I took her interest.

After that, we talked about many things. Starting from how were each continents' doing, planning trading routes, opening a new branch from Becca, and so on.

…

Suddenly, the Empress asked me.

"Lady Denallie. I heard that your siblings were tutored by you?"

"Yes, Your Majesty. I was the one who taught both of them. Be it education, swordsmanship, and magic" I said.

Some of the nobles were shocked to hear my answer. It's normal. Since, the two geniuses in Isvara were taught by me, alone. Though, Mom and Dad also helped a little.

The Empress then put down her cup.

"I see. Well then, I would like to make an offer to you"

Don't tell me…

"I want you to become Dineshcara's tutor. What do you think?" she asked.

…that was unexpected.

"May I ask why Your Majesty wants me to be Her Highness' tutor?"

Just one more.

"I've seen the results. That's more than enough of a proof that you're fit to be her tutor, yes?"

Gotcha.

"Thank you, Your Majesty. I will give you my answer on our next meeting"

The Empress then smiled, knowing my intention.

"I can't wait to hear your answer"

Suddenly, I sensed something dangerous approaching. Seeing Mom's reaction, I guess those creatures have an incredible magic to disguise themselves. Even the barrier staffs didn't notice.

"Asha. Do you want to see something beautiful? This might be good for your training"

"Beautiful!! I want to see!!!"

Mom and Dad nodded, giving me permission after they noticed those creatures.

"Please, excuse me, everyone" I then took a knife and stood up.

Asha followed me, holding my hand. After we stood up, a butler hurriedly approached the Emperor.

"What did you say?! Call the guards!!"

…

Well, that was unexpected. A King Gargoyle.

Soon after, the guards were already gathered at the front gate. They were trying to told me to go to a safer place. But, I signed them to move back for a while. I looked back at Asha, who's looking up to the sky, the gargoyle.

"Asha. Do you remember what I was saying about the sword and it's wielder?"

Asha smiled happily and answered.

"Oneself is one's true sword!!"

Good. She remembered it perfectly.

"What I'm wielding right now, Asha? Is this thing can become a sword?"

"A knife!! It can become a sword too!!!"

Now, time to some demonstration.

"Take a look, Asha. This is another lesson for you. I want you to perform it the next time we meet, okay?"

Asha nodded, and smiled.

I took a deep breath, and pointed the knife to the sky.

"I'll let those creatures know who's home they're trying to attack"

A large amount of mana gathered and formed a huge mana sword soaring through the sky.

All of the knights, and the nobles witnessed something their eyes can't accept.

"Sword that tear apart the sky, Soaring Sky"

*(Swing)

The huge sword swung, just like it's name, tearing apart the sky, and the King Gargoyle into two. The shock was great that the ground I was stepped on, trembling. Just before the body was about to fall on the city, I called out Leiron, who was already behind me.

"Yeah, I know. That was my lesson too"

He then casted a lot of spells at once.

"I hope this is enough for your standard"

A huge dark spear appeared above his head.

~Gungnir~

The spear launched at a high speed an split into two then burned the body of the King Gargoyle. But, to my standard, that was lacking too much.

"Many room for improvements. I'll show you the way you should do it later. And Asha, remember what I just did earlier. Do you understand?" I said.

"Yes, Sister!"

Both of them replied with a tone of a student who's just been instructed.

This sight, confirmed all of the rumors Leiron and Asha were taught by me.
